Love coming to the DBAP! This time was for something different - Festibull of Lights! It was awesome! We came on a Monday night and had quick and easy access to everything - no lines for Santa & Wool E. Bull photos, letters to Santa, the inflatable slide, and s'mores stations. We easily spent a few hours walking around with our kids enjoying all the lights and activities. It was the perfect evening! The kids also did a scavenger hunt and turned the paper in for a prize. The staff member working gave them an extra special prize that my son had adored - a replica of the 2022 championship ring!
Went for a Durham Bulls game recently - I've been going for years but had not been in a while. The game was on a Tuesday evening. I was able to find street parking but there are also the decks you can park in. It gets a little chaotic as game time approaches, so if you can handle that then it's great due to proximity. Tickets were well-priced. We were able to get some really great seats for $20 each. Getting in was quick and easy through both security and ticket scanning. Once inside, we chose the Mezcalito spot that is over on the side close to the big bull. I got 3 steak tacos and some chips and salsa for $15.99. To me, this is equivalent to what I would pay anyway for tacos, so I am thrilled with the price. The tacos were good too! Only downside is that a bottle of soda is $5.99 and a tall can of beer is $11. Then for dessert we had Two Roosters. They only do ice cream in a cup at the games, so no cone. I got the coffee bourbon and thought it was delicious. I don't typically get that flavor when I'm in the store. Overall, we had a very fun time at the game! Between tickets, parking, and food, it rounds out to about $75 per person for an evening.
What a great place. Fantastic seats, great weather and tons of food and drink surrounding the park. We can't wait to get back!
The Durham Bulls Athletic Park is located in Downtown Durham. Parking is available in nearby garages and the streets if you can find a spot. There are many places to grab a bite to eat around the stadium. I had the opportunity to tour the stadium, so I couldn't pass up that opportunity. The lobby has the history of the Durham Bulls that includes retired numbers of players. #8 for Crash Davis (the character in Bull Durham, on the movie's 20th anniversary), #18 for Joe Morgan, #20 for Bill Evers, and #10 for Chipper Jones. #42 for Jackie Robinson was retired by MLB for all teams. The Durham Bulls are a AAA team for the Tampa Bay Rays. The stadium was built in 1995 and can hold 10,000 fans after it was expanded in 1998 when the Bulls became AAA. Some of the seats are in the open and some are under a roof. All the seats seemed pretty close to the field for good views. The movie Bull Durham had a snorting bull sign so that was added to this stadium in left field. If a player hits the bull and gets a home run, Angus Barn gives them a steak. Capital Broadcasting owns the Bulls so broadcasts the games on its secondary channel and the games are on the radio. I was quite impressed with the press box and broadcast rooms. Renovations moved the Bulls dugout from the first base side to the third base side so that they could put in a new training room, locker room and an indoor hitting area behind third base. The visitor's side was also renovated but I didn't get to see that. The Corner Store is large and has a variety of items from t-shirts to baseball caps to stuffed toys to baseballs to other items.
This is an incredible venue. Easy access. Food is great with a large selection including charcuterie pretzels, hot dogs, sausage sandwiches and pretzel hamburgers with fry chips similar to the ones at Station Bar and Grill in Garwood, NJ. Whether the Bulls win or lose this is a great experience.
The Durham Bulls Stadium is one of my top recommendations for entertaining visitors. Between the affordable games, the relaxed atmosphere, and the great food options nearby, it's an easy and enjoyable outing for everyone. And if you're here during the holidays, the Festibull of Lights is a fantastic bonus--it turns the entire stadium into a beautiful, festive display that's perfect for families and friends. Definitely worth adding to your list when showing off Durham.
The stadium is nice enough and love the mascot it just lacked the fun and energy you'd expect when attending this type of baseball game. The bat dog wasn't there. The mascot did no dances and they didn't play much music over the speakers. Blahhjh
I had the opportunity to attend a Bulls game. My employer purchased tickets and I was able to get a couple. This was my 1st time attending a game and I really enjoyed my experience. I originally thought that we would be sitting in stadium seats but we actually had 2 different areas available only to my company employees and guests. The food was really good. We had hot dogs..hamburgers..grilled chicken..Mac and cheese..baked beans and cole slaw. There was also vegetarian options available as well. All in all, the experience was absolutely amazing and I will definitely attend another game.
Durham Bulls Athletic Park is probably one of the best MLB AAA venues in the country. Situated in downtown Durham, the area around the facility has been built up over the years. It's a fan friendly and a great park to catch a game. There isn't a bad seat in the stadium. There are plenty of places nearby to grab a bite before the game however, the stadium concessions have multiple options such as burgers, hot dogs and tacos. Local craft beer is available here. Parking in the area is plentiful and most lots are a short distance away. The Bulls are the triple A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. You will see future MLB players here and some who already made it to the "show." The quality of play at this level is almost MLB level. MLB rules such as a pitch clock exist which make the games progress quicker. It's a fun time coming out here.
Always a great time watching a Durham Bulls game! The park is clean and the food vendors are great. The Friday night fireworks are fantastic! Professional and better than most local Fourth of July shows. Durham Bulls baseball is a wonderful family activity with a lot of bang for your buck!

We felt like catching a ball game and it was a great day to visit Durham. We visited the store and got us a couple of shirts, which we wore for the occasion. And as the tradition goes, hot dogs w everything and peanuts were the best to eat. Durham bulls won that evening, so it was definitely a great day at the ballpark.

Durham has an incredible minor league ballpark. Easily the best minor league one I've visited across the US. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street, but they do have garage parking available within a short walk. The ballpark itself is nestled among corporate offices which adds to the great view from any seat. There's a wide variety of food and drink options, and I opted for a Transfusion cocktail (grape and vodka - delicious). Great way to spend an evening in Durham. read more
The Durham Bulls Park is exactly what a minor league baseball stadium should be. The night we went was 1.00 hot dog night, and fireworks for the America 250. Perfect cheap evening to take the family. Their sodas are also only 9.00 for an unlimited amount at the self-service fountain station. Thankfully they have Poweraid too because it was literally 98 degrees and I had been drinking beer all day. The Durham Bulls have the benefit of being the background for the famous movie with Kevin Costner and Susan Sarandon, so they definitely have the gift shops with the merchandise. 2 of my buddies bought "Lollygaggers" shirts. I attended my first Minor League Durham bulls baseball game. I had full suite access and catered food along with fully stocked fridge of beverages. I really enjoyed the food and experiencing the game for the first time. The stadium was really nice. The seating was roomy and comfortable. The entertainment and music was enjoyed as well. I've not been for a game so this is a mid-post. We went as a family for a company picnic. The event was ok however I'm grateful it was company sponsored as the cost for what was available wasn't what I would expect for work. We actually thought the best part was waking and seeing the lights in the Tobacco Area shops and restaurants. read more
Nowadays it's becoming increasingly difficult to find fun local activities that won't break the bank. A lazy afternoon and less than $20 can get you an entertaining night of baseball complete with hotdogs, beer, and cracker jacks among other sweets and treats. In between play Wool E. Bull will keep you and kids entertained with various antics. Coming to a game you will get a very local and positive Durham experience. Tips: Friday and Saturday nights are many times fireworks nights which are worth staying for. No outside food or drink and I recommend getting a 32oz drink in a souvenir cup. Park in the North Parking deck for a short walk through the tobacco district but it's less traffic after the game than the deck directly across from the stadium. read more

How could you not love the Durham Bulls stadium? It's such a cute place to spend a Friday night. There are some good options for snacks and drinks. There's also many great food options within walking distance for after the game. They try to keep you entertained throughout the whole game, which is fun. The smallish size of the stadium means there are no nosebleed sections! I love the Durham Bulls and I'll definitely be back! read more

The stadium and area is gorgeous! We chose seats in the outfield and the view of the field did not disappoint. The outfield area is great - there are bathrooms, kids area, beer tents, ice cream and a food truck. If you want more food options, the concession stands are down the stairs by the main stadium seating. Like most stadiums, you can bring in a sealed bottle of water! The food and seating prices were good- we frequent minor league stadiums all over and this is up there on my list! They did a really great job of keeping the fun, family feel with all the fan involvement. We had a rain delay but they kept everyone updated and I saw multiple employees with umbrellas walking people to covered areas or escorting them to the bathroom to help keep the fans dry. The fireworks show after the game was amazing! The "old school" scoreboard, the bull that lights up and the friendly staff only added to the fantastic experience we had during the game. read more
Here's the tip before the rest of the review: If you get here early enough, you can tell people that you're headed to one of the nearby restaurants instead of having to pay to park. So good luck with that. I arrived super early to get a good table at Tobacco Road but that was early enough to get into the ballpark for battle practice. This is a great park. Lots of seating, several sky boxes, comfortable seats and lots of fan engagement. Parking is super easy with lots of lots nearby. It's on the campus of several large businesses so I found it not completely easy to navigate but they have signage and that really helps. Charlotte Knights at Durham Bulls. There's a minor league team here in Maryland, but it's different from the vibes created by the Durham Bulls, their staff and their fans. It's very Friday Night Lights to me and I love that energy: it's like you can physically grasp the hometown pride. This was my second time visiting the park for a Bulls game - first time, we had a private space in the John Deere Bullpen (super cool to witness the game from that POV), and this time, seats near the dugout. The games are as fun as the people you come with, so luckily for me, I've had a blast each time. The location of the park is excellent and very walkable. Garage parking right next door with special rates for games and local police guiding traffic. read more
This is a great ballpark! Durham is lucky to have something like this in the area. There are several parking decks right next to the ballpark. Of course, it is pay to park, but it is reasonable... I think it was $7. There are several bars, restaurants and places to hang out right next to the ballpark that you can go to before or after. We didn't do this, but lots of people do. We attended the ACC 2019 baseball tournament. This ballpark is clean and the staff seem quite competent. A large majority of the seating is under an awning with large fans which is great on hot days!! I doubt there are many bad seats in the house. It is not a huge ballpark so even if you are not right on the field, you feel close to it. They sell beer, soda and food- prices are kind of what you would expect. 7$ for a beer.. as an example. This place is fantastic. I plan to return to other games in the future. read more
Great place to watch a baseball game!! Love the wide array of options for eating and drinking. Really fun atmosphere. Fun fireworks. I'd caution anyone who is allergic to peanuts, though. There are a lot of peanuts being eaten all around and peanut shells on the ground. read more
Lovely venue! However, a lot people are not wearing masks. It's definitely go at your own risk. The music, side entertainment, and game are the reasons to go. They also have Pie Pushers inside the stadium. However, I don't know the cost. read more
We came here with another couple on a Saturday night. Come early for parking ($7) as there are several restaurants in walking distance. Very clean and organized stadium with clear signage. Not too big and comfortable seats with good visibility. The firework display was outstanding and lasted several minutes! Variety of food to choose from: hot dogs, pizza, Chick fil A, Rita's Italian ice, chicken tenders and fries, cotton candy among others. read more

It was a nice partly sunny day to spend the afternoon at a DBAP Game! Great time with friends. Caleb was able to run the bases after the game which made his first time attending a baseball game that much more special! Thank you DBAP! read more
Seems kind of odd to write a review of a baseball park during a pandemic that canceled Minor League Baseball, but the Bulls organization is still top notch and helped my company (WGU North Carolina) host a group of military families for two Military Family Nights. Safety precautions were in place and families had to sign waiver forms and state that they did not have any COVID-19 symptoms. The families got to play catch, run the bases, take batting practice, play cornhole and connect four, and just enjoy being outdoors. In between each session, they sanitized the equipment. Every family received a bag of swag upon their departure. read more
