This was my first visit to the Carolina Theatre and was able to park at the poring lot across the street. Once I arrived I picked up my tickets at will call. The attendant at will call advised me that with my VIP tickets we could go back stage after the show. The theater has the option to purchase snacks and drinks such as popcorn and wine. We had really good seats at the venue. The theater is not too large which provides an intimate experience. The show was great with a great sound in the venue. After the show we waited and asked several ushers where to go to get back stage but multiple staff members said they didn't know anything about where we should go. We were confused why people that work at a venue wouldn't know where to go. They didn't offer to try and find the answer to our question either.

I enjoyed coming here for a concert. The sound was pretty decent. However with their recent renovation, they have put the seats closer together. It makes it difficult to get to your seat.

Love this venue! There's really not a bad seat in the place since it's a smaller venue. We were up on the top level for the Switchfoot concert and we were still able to clearly see the stage. They have elevators but there are quite a few steps if you head up to the top levels by foot! Parking is easy with the garage directly across the street or some street parking on many of the surrounding streets. Like most venues these days, the ticket fees online are just outrageous. I was shocked how much we paid for this show even being in the top section.

The beautiful interior of the main theatre during a Full Frame presentation.

A wonderfully restored and operational old movie house that has been updated for stage shows, concerts, lectures, and special presentations. They don't built 'em like this anymore! A great concession stand with huge bags of popcorn, sodas, wine, and craft beer is open during many shows, and unlike more strict venues, you can enjoy your snacks and libations during the show!

Shana Tucker performed for Family Series last season. The show was great, family and kids enjoyed it.

Just went to see the War and Treaty, a great country western Duo, they were fabulous, please google them, you will be mesmerized. I bought the CD. Been listening to it for two days as I drive to and from work. As a matter of they will be on the Country Music Awards show tonight in ABC!

The building itself, which houses offices on the top floors, an impressive boiler room and a LOVELY art gallery next door {Power Plant Gallery} is open to the public during the day for typical office hours. It IS WORTH IT just to stop in during the day, because the building is AMAZING! Stuff happens, especially when you have high powered hot lights that have cooling problems. Where things shine is what happens when that happens. We just walked out, talked to someone, got a ticket for the next nearest showing and went into that. no mess, no 'oh that's later int he day more expensive you have to cover it' just a quick swap, new seats picked, and back in we went. I've ordered pretzel bites or other food ahead for seat delivery several times. Typically you must have your ticket scanned by the attendant to "check-in" and alert staff to prepare food for delivery. Sometimes my food has been delivered rather quickly and other times not. This visit was probably the worst of them all. I arrived at 11:30am for the 12:00 pm showing and had my ticket scanned. I know it takes some time and very rarely criticize food service at any establishment. However, I was not expecting it to take ONE HOUR for delivery of an order of pretzel bites to my seat, especially since other patrons ordered in their seats after arriving and received their orders before me. Once received at 12:30 when I arrived at 11:30, I was stunned by the much smaller portion size for the price than in years past. Beyond the clear service issue, I was also disappointed that Spider-Man themed popcorn buckets were available at the in person concession stand and not available to order ahead on the app. There was no mention of these being available at Silverspot on social media or the like until hours AFTER my screening. I would have preferred this and, had I known, waited until I arrived at the theater to purchase. I contacted customer service online right after my screening. The website stated a response would be sent within one business day. Three business days and a follow up email later, I finally received a "response" which felt very impersonal and not sincere. The "response" repeated many of my talking points and said feedback would be "passed along" to the team. Much like an AI-generated response. Subsequent emails have been ignored. Needless to say, I have no interest in patronizing this theater in the future after being a longtime customer.

I am not sure if they played previews or not but I don't think they did. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that it was HOT! Like, wow. It was a fairly nice day. It seemed hotter in the actual theater. The prices of popcorn wasn't bad at all. My brother and I both got an XL popcorn for $6 each. To be honest, it's like a large at other places. We both got a large drink that was $5. My son wanted a water, so I got him a bottled water, which was $2. They ran out of butter, so I could t get any. The popcorn was okay. It definitely wasn't fresh, lol. But I can't expect much from a vintage movie theater. This establishment only has one theater room. There is an entrance on both sides of the concession stand and an emergency exit to the left of the screen. We ended up having to sit in the 3-4th row from the front as everything else was pretty much taken. It seemed that most of the crowd were students from UNC-CH. we enjoyed the movie! Besides the lack of temperature control, it wasn't a bad experience. I would return again if I was in the area. I only came here because it was cheap halfway spot between where I live in Greensboro and where my brother lives in Clayton.
