I went to see Muscadine Bloodline at the Carolina Theatre and honestly, I can't recommend this…read morevenue enough! If you love live music but aren't a fan of huge crowds and overpriced everything, this theater is a total gem. First off, the vibe here is just cool and intimate. It's one of those places where, even if you're sitting a bit farther back, you still feel close to the action. The acoustics were great, every note and every lyric was super clear, which really made the performance feel special. Muscadine Bloodline killed it, by the way! One thing I really appreciated: the whole experience felt easy and relaxed. Getting there was a breeze and there's a parking garage directly across the street, so no crazy searches for a spot or long walks in the cold/rain/heat. You can literally be inside the theater within minutes of parking. Inside, the concessions were surprisingly reasonable. I was bracing myself to pay $20 for a beer like most venues, but nope, drinks and snacks were actually affordable. It's a little thing, but it made the night even better. Being able to sit for the show was also huge for me. The seats were comfortable, with a good view from just about anywhere. I loved not having to stand the whole time or jockey for space. It's honestly the perfect size, big enough for a killer crowd atmosphere, but small enough that it's not overwhelming. All in all, the Carolina Theatre just nails it for live shows. Great music, chill atmosphere, reasonable prices, and zero hassle. Can't wait to catch another concert here!

While I love that movie, and generally the shared reaction from the crowd is what I love about the movie going experience, these people laughed WAY too hard at bits that had already been done a bunch throughout the movie. I think it was because they really wanted to have a good time, so they laughed harder than was warranted. That isn't the worst crime but just to give you an idea of the people who I assume frequent this establishment. Mhm: -old -pretty -weird stuff to see -solid move going experience Mm-Mm: -the shallowest steps I may have ever encountered inside the actual theatre (where it's dark) -I remember the concessions being kinda disappointing but nothing in particular -overzealous crowd -atrocious parking

Review updated since the summer flood of 2025…read more Pro tips: The restrooms downstairs are the ones to avoid, always use the upstairs bathrooms especially for those #2s. Always order your concessions through the app for delivery to your seat. Waiting in line for concessions is a rookie move for chumps. Make sure to use the free rewards program if you go often. Parking is a cluster-F lately, if there's a big release out make sure to arrive early because you could be circling for 30 minutes. On to the updated review. I do love this theater and it's to great that they are back open after the flooding that occurred in the area of June 2025. The Theater is back open with a lot of new carpet and updates since the flooding occurred. I go to a lot of movies so I've fallen off going to Silverspot as much as I used to since AMC's A-List pass financially makes more sense for me, and AMC's parking is so much better, which brings me to the primary issue with Silverspot lately. Their parking is absolutely abysmal. Silverspot shares a lot with all the other restaurants at University Mall and parking is an absolute poop-show. While I love ordering my popcorn and drink for delivery to my seat, often times you'll spend 30 minutes circling for parking that you miss your order being delivered to your seat so once you are seated you have to get up and go to the concession counter and track down your order and hopefully you don't miss the beginning of the flick. I get it, the parking lot is a problem caused by the mall owners, not Silverpsot as a theater or company but given the load of trailers and advertisements most people know to roll into a movie 20 minutes late, but having to plan ahead of time that parking might be an absolute battle stinks. As a movie theater Silverspot continues to have a great selection of movies week-after-week. Their popcorn is some of the best in the area along with their fountain drinks that are calibrated to perfection most of the time. I honestly get tired of the Freestyle machines and just want to be served a diet coke sometimes. I do wish they would have a paid rewards program like AMC A-List for people that come to a lot of movies often. Their free rewards program is nice but the A-List pass is such a better value if you go multiple times a week. Shout-out to Maria who takes the tickets, she rules along with William who works in concessions, he also rules. Give those people a raise. I still love this theater, a full star deduction for the ongoing mess that is the parking situation, but as it stands its still one of the best theaters in the area.

Honestly we stopped coming here because of the parking situation. Not Silverspot's fault at all,…read morebut I felt the need to warn the good people of yelp. At AMC Southpoint you have the whole mall to park at, and they're not cramming random apartments in the parking lot, so I'd recommend going there.

I had an experience at Regal recently that I feel compelled to share not because something went…read morewrong, but because of how incredibly right their staff handled it. Last week, I brought my 5-year-old son to see The Super Mario Bros. Movie. He is on the autism spectrum and was doing what, for him, is actually amazing engaging with the movie, enjoying himself, and yes, clapping intermittently out of excitement. Anyone who parents a child with autism knows moments like that are victories. Unfortunately, someone in the theater complained. As a parent, that moment can feel isolating and disheartening, especially in a theater full of children watching a kid's movie. But what happened next completely changed the experience. Two managers, Brittany and Layla, approached us with kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. Instead of making us feel uncomfortable or unwelcome, they supported us. They offered to move us to another area of the theater to make things easier, and they went above and beyond by giving my son additional snacks and water so he could stay regulated and continue enjoying the movie. Their approach was not just professional, it was deeply human. We are longtime Regal members, and this experience reminded me why. Inclusion is not just a word, it's action. Brittany and Layla demonstrated what it looks like to create a space where all families, including those with neurodiverse children, feel seen, respected, and welcomed. Because of them, what could have been a painful experience turned into a meaningful one that I will not forget. Thank you, Regal, for having staff who lead with empathy. And a special thank you to Brittany and Layla, you made a difference for my son and for me.

I am not sure if they played previews or not but I don't think they did. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that it was HOT! Like, wow. It was a fairly nice day. It seemed hotter in the actual theater. The prices of popcorn wasn't bad at all. My brother and I both got an XL popcorn for $6 each. To be honest, it's like a large at other places. We both got a large drink that was $5. My son wanted a water, so I got him a bottled water, which was $2. They ran out of butter, so I could t get any. The popcorn was okay. It definitely wasn't fresh, lol. But I can't expect much from a vintage movie theater. This establishment only has one theater room. There is an entrance on both sides of the concession stand and an emergency exit to the left of the screen. We ended up having to sit in the 3-4th row from the front as everything else was pretty much taken. It seemed that most of the crowd were students from UNC-CH. we enjoyed the movie! Besides the lack of temperature control, it wasn't a bad experience. I would return again if I was in the area. I only came here because it was cheap halfway spot between where I live in Greensboro and where my brother lives in Clayton.
