Missing half of the screen like something was broken

Expensive seats are old and the screens only showing like 40% of the screen Don't recommend the checking process is unbelievably bad.

It looks like the movie theatre industry is going downhill. I remember after this theatre was open that the windows were open to were people would buy the tickets. They have done the upgrade here to where they have the reclining "leather" seats. The leather on the seats were extra worn when I went in last, and that detracts from the comfort. They didn't have salt for the popcorn the last time I went. Overall the comfort of the theatre is not what it used to be. It is okay to go for a movie, but nothing to write home about. #484

Violent night movie promo

It one of my least favorite movie theater in the area as it really outdated. The theater was extremely warm when we were watching the movie. The staff is extremely nice. Just think it needs an upgrade.

I attended a Lionsgate free screening of the movie Joy Ride this evening. Entry was well organized and the Regal staff/Lionsgate promo team were friendly and kind. A line formed at 6:00 p.m. and they began letting us in the theater a little after 6:30. This theater like many Regal and AMC theaters in the triangle is very dated. 1990's dated. While they have pleather recliners, they are in need of replacement. I'm a little surprised at this given the Brier Creek area. The sound was very poor during the movie. Too low. Everything is typically well manicured in this shopping plaza, so it's a bit disappointing. I did not use the restroom or purchase anything from the concession stand, so I cannot speak to that experience. I am very picky about restrooms and where I dine. The movie theater experience has come a long way over the decades. Regal theaters need a major facelift to catch up to what other companies like Paragon & CMX are offering. We are now in a time where heated seats, zero gravity chairs and Dine-in service are options at the other theaters. So why settle ? Joy Ride is a must see comedy! The Asian representation and culture throughout the film was brilliant and so entertaining.

Movie time!

I know they have occasional free screenings here but I'm not sure where those are listed. Nice reuse of industrial space. I'll have to research this venue and its offerings more closely.

Located in the heart of American Tobacco Campus, you…read morecan't help but notice the old fashioned, neon-at-night, knockout sign including lightening boltZ and POWER PLANT blazing bright along the top along with the black-and-white FULL FRAME THEATER text. You should know, going to see a show at Full Frame is rather difficult to do during the year. The building itself, which houses offices on the top floors, an impressive boiler room and a LOVELY art gallery next door {Power Plant Gallery} is open to the public during the day for typical office hours. It IS WORTH IT just to stop in during the day, because the building is AMAZING! Truly one of the MOST spectacular sites to see in Durham, this old power plant has been converted into a fully functioning theater, venue and office space. Besides its use of the theater for special events, it also houses the Full Frame Film Festival offices [a WONDERFUL annual international event dedicated to the theatrical exhibition of nonfiction cinema. The festival takes place from morning to midnight every April, showing 100's! of films, discussions, panels and brings in people from all over the world to experience Durham hospitality at its finest!]. But Full Frame Theater is MUCH MORE then just the film festival, they show FREE documentary screenings May through November, although typically only once a month on Durham's Third Friday Art Walk. Tickets are free, but you must reserve a ticket the morning of, beginning at 9am. The theater itself is a DREAM. State-of-the-art projectors, HD resolution, surround sound, comfy seating: amazing, amazing, AMAZING! When you think of a refurbished power plant theater, you might think: OLD fashioned, restored, not great quality BUT lovely space. Well, Full Frame is not only an amazing building with lots of history BUT a great theater as well! You walk through the front door of the theater, and immediately are located in the old BOILER Room of the power plant: hard to describe because it's just so impressive, but think brick exterior, massive windows, polished concrete floors; contemporary while in a historical setting. This building has been standing since the 1930's and should be celebrated along with its partner and Durham icon: the Lucky Strike Smokestack and Lucky Strike Water Tower! So visit with lovers, visit with friends, visit with family, just VISIT this iconic site. March 17, 2026; 3 Stars Rating…read more I visited this establishment as part of a birthday celebration for my cousin. We typically come here for celebrations. We were eager to come because of the changes made to their seating and menu. The changes to the seats were OK but not comprehensive. Only some chairs had the uplift, but it wasn't the full chair. It was just the portion of the chair that you sit on. The menu didn't change. They simply added a few things to the menu. I was excited to try them. I ordered a couple new items. I didn't enjoy the fried tomato; it was rubbery and not moist on the inside like I am used to having at other restaurants. I also didn't enjoy the bread pudding. It had a nice flavor, but it was too hard and crusty. The portion sizes were smaller than previously. I rated it a three star because it was OK, and we enjoyed our time together, but there is still work to be done to bring it up to the luxury standard for which we've all gotten used to. November 28, 2023; 2 Star Rating I visited this luxury movie and dinner location on November 29, 2023. I went after work to see The Marvels. I enjoy going to CineBistro. It's a wonderful experience and a comfort and convenience to have food while watching the movie. The seats are in dire need of repair or a covering. There are also some general areas that would benefit from some modernization/renovation. The service is always great, and I appreciate the variety of entrées and desserts available. It would be good if the menu could be more consistently/periodically updated especially for someone like me who visits Cinebistro quite often. The reason for my rating of 2 stars is because the heating system isn't working in some theaters. The theater that I watched my movie in yesterday was one of those theaters without heat. I was freezing while eating and watching the movie. If I did not have my coat, I would not have been able to endure the coldness for the entire movie. Although it was not unbearable because I was wearing my coat, it was very cold and not comfortable. A manager did come to see me and acknowledged the freezing conditions to see if I wanted him to give me a free ticket to return another day when the heat was working, but I opted to stay and continue to watch the movie because I had driven 40 minutes to go out there, waited very long to see this movie, and my schedule is pretty busy so I would not have had another opportunity to watch it before Cinebistro no longer carried it. Perhaps a better substitute to a free ticket would have been if he offered to pay for my meal because of the non optimal conditions that I was placed in. Other than the freezing condition in the theater, I enjoyed watching the movie and eating my tuna poke bowl and pumpkin bread pudding. February 17, 2023; 4 Star Rating My nephew, one of my friends, and I went to see the new Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania movie at CinéBistro Waverly Place today. My nephew was new to that type of movie experience, so we decided to expose him to it. The cashier was very professional, and very helpful in helping me sign up for their new rewards program. As we got seated and comfortable in our luxury reclining seats in the theater, a server came, brought the menus, and took our orders. We each ordered a salmon and shrimp entrée, popcorn, cheesecake, a few mixed drinks, and water. Our drinks were served within 5 minutes, and our food came out within 10 to 15 minutes. Everything was plated nicely, and our drinks were as expected. The dinner portions were okay. The salmon was moist and the shrimp was cooked well. The dish tasted good, but could have used a little more seasoning. It was a little bland. The cheesecake was flavorful but could have been a little larger for the price. The luxury seats were comfortable and relaxing. They were spacious as well, which helped to provide a great movie experience. I always enjoy visiting the CinéBistro at Waverly Place. It's always a good experience, but it is pricey so expect to pay a lot for this experience.
