Got a bagel sandwich on our snowmobile trip and then came here the next day and wow! 2 times in a row it's was perfect and delicious! The donuts are killer to! Have a vacation home here and will defiantly be back everyone!! Key it up! Customer service was excellent too! read more

I don't know why this place doesn't have 5 stars! It was great. Not jus for donuts but everything we had was wonderful. We stopped breakfast but it looked to have lunch items on the menu as well. My wife and I stopped by for breakfast, what a wonderful surprise we got. I had the Western Burrito which was packed with ham, cheese and peppers, right to both ends. My wife had the bagel sandwich which was loaded to the brim with flavorful bacon, eggs and cheese. We will certainly return to Doughworks if we are in the area. Cannot imagine anybody giving Doughworks a negative review. read more

Started off a little rocky... Hubby didn't like the OJ but Bryttnie quickly have him other options and promptly brought him an apple juice. Our food came out and the person who brought it out have hubby the wrong burrito.... Again Bryttnie came to our rescue and went back and made sure to grab the correct one!!! I've been coming to Doughworks since high school and while the doughnuts are consistently good (esp. the blueberry), something has always seemed off about the service. I've experienced too many curt cashiers and less than friendly employees to chalk it up to coincidence. I will still swing by for some doughnuts to-go though. read more

Dough works has good ass coffee because it is roasted by desert sun but the to go burritos are always soggy and are way over priced. For way better breakfast burritos go a couple blocks south on Main Street to bobby d's deli. Way less crowded and way better food read more

My husband took me to this cute little place for my birthday brunch. There were some great reviews, and we figured why not. I will say that all the food had fresh ingredients. The coffee smelled delicious. Since it was my birthday I decided to indulge and have hot chocolate. Unfortunately, it was not very good. I decided my birthday breakfast would be an omelette. The three-egg description is deceiving, it is probably actually a cup and a half of egg beaters. I should have opted for the egg white option. I had a side of bacon that was so crisp and delicious. My husband built his own burrito, which he finished. He's a big eater and the "small" burrito was plenty. Our waitress was not very friendly, however, a woman behind the doughnut counter brought me a cute and tasty chocolate doughnut with a candle. I think this would be the perfect spot to pop in for coffee and a doughnut, but the breakfast wasn't anything that exciting. My husband said that he had stopped there on the way to the mountain, which I think would be a much better option than a fast food place. read more

The best breakfast in Southern Colorado. The mark of a great place is consistency. Every time we go there we have a great breakfast. Today was no exception. Its a Saturday and its prime breakfast time. We get the only table (Whew!) No worries our food was perfect (Sue had the Scramble and I had French toast and a side of scrambled eggs with green chilies). Our server was Madison. She rocks. Try the Doughworks. My husband went there to get breakfast sandwiches at 10:25 am and they were out. When he asked the guy if there were going to be more he just said, "Well, its like 11:00". So at a breakfast place you get attitude instead of breakfast if its past 10:00 am? He acted like it was the dumbest question he had ever heard. Poor customer service! Doughworks seems to have fallen on hard times. The basic eggs I had ordered (sunny side up and crisp at the bottom) were over easy. The potatoes were good and crisp and well seasoned, but sadly it was a small, small portion. The tea for my breakfast tea was good standard ( Bigelow) but when they noticed I used two bags ( I like my tea strong) they hastened to re-write the bill by adding an extra $0.50 . Amused at such sharp and thrifty observation, I remarked about it to the waiter, who in all seriousness explained to me that they need to pay for each tea bag. WOW! Who would have guessed! May they experience better times when they don't feel larger portions - and second tea bags- are "extras" they need to charge for. read more

We love Durango Doughworks!! The donuts are really yummy and the burritos are great as well. If you're on a time crunch then there is pre-made burritos and bagel sandwiches. If you have time though definitely sit and order at the table because the burritos are yummier fresh, which is how most people feel. Super yummy food!! read more

Let me start by saying the doughnuts are excellent so if it's counter service you need you are in the right place. We have eaten in the restaurant several times and it always seems to be the same thing. 1 or 2 wait staff that feel absolutely no pressure to wait on you in timely manner and then a lot of other people who seem to work there but are standing around doing nothing including the manager. It's just entirely too laid back of a place. The food is good and I recommend it if you have loads of time to eat at European pace! You will be there for hours. read more

Wonderful friendly staff in a majestic Durango setting. Had a giant quesadilla with gluten-free tortilla. It became dinner for later!! But reason for this review is the donut. I have not gone here is years because of how RUDE the owner is and how bad their service and food is. I worked here 8 years ago and nothing seems to have gotten better, just much worse. I call in a to go order. My partner want to eat here and for some reason I said ok. I knew better but didn't expect it to be this bad. After telling the first person my order they asked me to hold and then gave the phone to someone else and I had to give my order again. We modified one of our orders and wow that seemed like to hardest thing for them to follow. After telling them over 5 times what the order was they finally said ok it will be about 20 minutes. We get there to grab our food and oops they forgot to send the order to the kitchen. We get our food and they put two different orders in the same box. The other order had eggs added to it instead of just changing how the eggs were made. They charged us for that. Then the potatoes we asked them to add did not seem to be fully cooked. The potato's on the side is what I asked to be added into the mix but they put on the side and charged us again. Last but not least one order they messed up had the wrong meat and grn chili added. They put in the wrong order and them modified it wrong. not unly did they mess up the messed up their mess up. The food had no flavor. The food that did have flavor was bad flavor. It looked like they took a premade burrito dumped it out and modified it poorly. IT WAS DISCUSTING, RUDE, BADBADWORSE This always happen to me and people I know. I never complain or post bad things because I try to stay positive and understand mistakes happen. This is just them all the time. rude owner bad food and poor poor quality. Their new manager is kind though and apologized/refunded us . So at least there is that. I was looking for breakfast, somewhere other that the chains and found the Durango Doughworks. I had Breakfast there yesterday, really great place with good services! Try the California omelette, definitely worth it. They are a little off the main downtown in Durango, but they are worth the trip. read more

Their donuts are the best in Durango. They serve local organic micro roasted Desert Sun coffee, which is a favorite of many. The pre made to-go burritos are soggy so if you want a burrito, have them make it to order -- it will cost a tad more, but worth it. read more

I'm an avid customer of doughworks and everything is super awesome! The only problem I have is the employees. They cannot listen for the life of them. I come in and ask for a gluten free burrito all the time, yet my wife has gotten sick multiple times from it not being gluten free. When I say "gluten free please" 4 fucking times, I expect to get one... Especially if I'm paying for it. read more

I am a waitress and I live in town. I have had good and bad experiences at Doughworks, but after my last time there, I will not be back to sit and have breakfast. I know they were busy and I understand everyone has bad days but my service was horrible. The food came out in a timely manner and was okay, but my waiter was really rude. He would walk away before we were finished speaking, and had no manners. He threw the menus on the table, did not ask how we were doing and seemed annoyed that I wanted more coffee. Part of a waiter's job is to be friendly and accomidating and he exhibited neither of those qualities. And at the end of the day the food was mediocre at best. I'll stop by and pick up a bagel on the way to the mountain but that is it. There are about 5 other breakfast places in town that I will always choose to go instead. To sum it all up it was $30 for two people to have breakfast, and I left annoyed with a stomach ache. read more
