Typically stay at a place a week or two (at most) and then it's time to move on and hike the next section or two, then move on again. But Shanna and the ladies at the Shell made it impossible to leave. So nice! And grassy, partially shaded, quiet sites with a little store, huge clean laundry, and the nice little town of Etna and all of its ammenities right here. Was definitely worth the longer commutes to the farther trailheads to just stay put, relax, and enjoy! Thank you MVRVP!

It was…read morefilthy when I moved in, and within a week of starting to move in, somebody tried to cut through the unprotected garage door lock, which are all not uniform and in disarray. Somebody two doors down from my drive up 12 x 24 unit same as unit I rented got broken into and took $4000 worth of electric bikes. Sheriffs reported happens more often than , Has absolutely zero security though she claimed she had security which turns out not to be true?! I made her aware and said she would handle it, yet a Week after they attempted to break in, still no new protective hardware that is secure to prevent further break-ins.. owner Wendy has a very tone deaf, nonchalant, attitude about it. All in all, very disappointed in Poor Customer Service, without customers why have a business, you might as well hand it over to somebody that will run it properly!! Think twice about putting your valuables here as It is a slumlord storage!

I have had storage units with A-1 for years and have found them to be just fine in responding to my…read morequeries and any concerns. I see the negative reviews are now 3 or more years old. All of the payment system is now online and there is automatic debit service. There have been mice in my unit, too, but I just put a few traps in my unit that that was no longer and issue. But, hey, think about where we live. Sorry to see that units have been broken into, but complaining about an open gate during open hours and nobody being present to guard is a bit ridiculous as that was obvious at the time of rental. So, overall, a good experience with A-1.

My mother's unit got broken into here recently and as many other reviewers have experienced as well - there's no security, no guard, a wide open gate from 7am-7pm, and there's not even an office building. Of course in the contract is that A1 cannot be held liable for anything stolen, damaged or vandalized. What they fail to mention is that they do absolutely nothing to prevent these things from happening. The staff provides, and I'm being very generous here, very little help. We are from out of town, stayed at a hotel and planned to load up our truck and drive home. We were wrong. We spent 5 hours this morning just trying to get in contact with somebody (anybody) at the office. We tried emailing. We tried all 3 different phone numbers listed. We tried showing up at the unit. We now have to stay an extra night and potentially drive a Uhaul through a severe storm warning because of the customer service here - the manager, Lisa, finally called my mother back at 1:30pm (again, we'd been calling since about 9am). She met us to remove the lock that A1 put on the unit after it'd been broken into and was informed by my mother we'd be arriving and that we'd need assistance while in town since we can't open the A1 lock. The one last thing I'll share. When we finally got in touch with the owner, he agreed that we should've called in advance to get assistance because Lisa works 2 jobs. That response was at least hilarious, because I can't believe a company could be so unprofessional and apathetic, pay their employees an unlivable wage, and then blame the customers. This was a wild experience that I'm so glad is over and done with.
