There's a large section of wines from literally all over the world so I appreciated that. We walked around searching and no one ssked us if we needed help. I came here looking for Zubrowka and Krupnik and they had both I was happy to see. They carry the popular brand of Krupnik, "Old Krupnik," but they do not have the exact same Zubrowka that I had in Poland. I think this is due to FDA reasons and they have another version of it called "Zu." I was a little disappointed with the price since it is the same price ($25.99) as the Zu at my local liquor shop in Manhattan. This is also double the price of the real Zubrowka in Poland. I thought that it would have been much cheaper in this area with all the Polish shops and it not being Manhattan. Additionally, having to deal with the mythical G "train" (by train I mean shuttle bus as I have yet to see the actual train) just wasn't worth it. I wont be coming back here often since the Zu seems to be all over NYC at the same price, but maybe once more to check out the other shops in the area. read more

Possibly the best selection of Polish vodkas in NYC. The selection is comparable to a good store in Warsaw or Krakow; they even have some brands and varieties you'd be hard pressed to find there, too. Prices are a bit steep; replace złoty with dollars and you have a good idea. They do have the standards you'd find anywhere with similar prices. Fair warning: the service is brusque. They do know their stuff and will help you choose, so for me it's worth it. Put on your thickest skin and enjoy! FYI - not a good place to practice your Polish. Stick to English. And they won't serve you if you're visibly drunk or smell like weed. read more

Now I've been a customer with Drizly once or twice a month for as about 18 months. Not a single problem. This time around the driver never showed. I called the liquor store and after explaining to PETER what happened, PETER believes his driver over me... even though they take photos of licenses which would prove it wasn't me that took the product. Also, who the hell would say "no" to free alcohol? Also why would I waste 3 hours of time with both Drisly customer service and the garbage that is PETER for a measly $60. It was the principle that everything I said was common sense yet PETER still refused to believe me, And why would they assume that nobody will open their door and not accept free booze. The stupidity is mind-boggling. I will never order from them again, I will never return to the store that I've been purchasing from for years. Not to mention, I will make sure my community shops at the exponentially better liquor stores in the neighborhood. The stupidity of PETER, the driver and the store is overwhelming, it's frankly embarrassing, condescending and disgusting. I promised them karma's a bitch for both this PETER and his "driver". Don't fuck with a publicist. Drisly set things right, reimbursed me and admitted that Dunne's Polemost Liquors on Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn treated me with disrespect with any lack of humanity. This liquor/wine shop is off the Nassau G stop, but on the Norman exit. The store has a huge selection of wine. I am not a wine expert, but it I do enjoy it and it is my most frequently consumed alcoholic beverage. For a New York City wine/liquor stop right off the train, there were many, many bottles to choose from. The selection appeared to be heavier on the European/Old World selection. My guess is that the shop may have some harder-to-find wines from Eastern Euro countries. For example, I saw a few bottles advertised as Georgian Wine. Nevertheless, I nabbed a bottle advertising itself as "sustainable." I figured, all things being equal (=I have no idea what I'm looking for), might as well go for sustainable. Sniper Vodka. I want to meet the person who decided to make Sniper Vodka. I want to meet the person who said, "Hey Frank. Let's make a rifle out of glass and fill it with vodka and put a leather strap around the bottle so people can sling it over their shoulders." It really does put "doing shots" on a whole new level. Bang. This place has some of the funniest stuff I have seen in a liquor store. I think on my first visit I spent about 20 minutes strolling around to look at all the unusual items. Odd bottles and odd productions from odd places abound. If you want something unique to check out, you definitely need to come here. There are plenty of obscure vodkas and wine to keep your eye busy for a while, and I don't doubt that you will find something good to buy. read more

I live in Greenpoint and I frequent many Polish establishments on a regular basis, so I'm pretty accustomed to grumpy, if not straight up rude, customer service. It takes a lot to get me pissed off, but hey, sometimes you come across a real gem. Two men at the counter. One speaks Polish and appears reasonably nice. He bags my order. The other (English-speaking) man silently takes my card without looking at me or acknowledging my presence in any other way. I ask him to run the card as debit. "ID", he barks, "it's unsigned". I repeat that I'd like him to run it as debit, not credit. You know, where you enter 4 little numbers on a pin pad. "No", he says, offering no further explanation. "Maybe they don't have a pin pad machine", suggests the customer behind me. Well, maybe, but why not say so? Or make eye contact, at the very least? I fumble through my wallet and find my Polish ID. The man examines it closely, suspiciously. "Poland, huh", he says, disapprovingly. Uhhh...yep? Sorry? He keeps looking at it and comparing it to the debit card, veeeeery slowly, seemingly unable to decide whether to accept it or not. Eventually he spits out "You got other ID?" I say "forget it, I'll just go to the ATM" and leave. The selection is fine, the prices are fine, but I'm not going to spend money at a place that doesn't value my time or business. Liquor is not hard to find in this neighborhood, and I'm willing to pay (or walk) extra to avoid dealing with needless attitude. You just lost my business, not that you wanted it in the first place. Pretty large liquor store, very low prices. Accessible to nearly all of Greenpoint and North Williamsburg. To give you an idea, they have like 10-15 brands of cognac when most places have 1-2, if any at all. The same robust supply applies to the rest of their liquor - vodka, whiskey, rum, and especially vodka - this is a polish run place, and a lot of people who come here are polish and they like their vodka. read more

I am so happy I found this wine & liquor store - it is the best in Brooklyn. It is located in the quaint neighborhood of Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Don't be fooled by the Store Front name of Dunne's Polemost Liquors, the actual business name is M.E.T. Wine & Liquor, which is what is printed on the receipt. When I first stopped by the store, I was surprise by the large variety of wines, whiskies, bourbons, gins, and especially vodka. I have never found these unique products in other liquor stores. And on top of it all - the prices are great! I remember when I came here during the holidays; the store was packed with people. I bought a whole bunch of wines and liquors, about $150 - the store service was great - they gave a free miniature of Zubrowka, a famous Polish Bison Grass Vodka. They suggested to drink it with Apple Juice, which is the Polish Custom, and it was absolutely delicious! I have gotten my friends hooked on it. And on another occasion, they had given me free champagne glasses! They also have great discounts on wines! I would definitely recommend this store to anyone - even if you don't live in Brooklyn - it is worth the trip. read more

I have lived in the Greenpoint and Williamsburg area for a couple of years now, and I happened to stumble upon Dunne's Polemost Liquors - BEST PLACE EVER! I couldn't believe how much cheaper they were to the competitors. Service was great. Very friendly, and knowledgeable. Great liquor & wine selection! By recommendation from the owner, I recently purchased one of the wines from the Tussock Jumper Collection - fell in love, and came back to try the other wines in the collection. The wine was priced right, and the packaging was creative. Lastly, this place is the best for gifts - they have a very unique selection and novel products here to cater for all occasions. I definitely recommend this place, and give an A+++. Not to mention, it is a Greenpoint staple, one of the first liquors stores established here! read more
