They insisted on getting 80% of the fees, despite it being covered by insurance. They said not to worry because if they get paid, they will refund the money. They got paid 100% from the insurance companies yet they never offered a refund. They never called as promised and are not returning phone calls. I will be sure to tell the referring dentist that he should not be referring patients here, unless they change their business practices to industry standard ones.

The numbing gel used made it to where I didn't feel it at all when they numbed the area, the procedure was completely painless throughout and I only needed to take a over the counter pain medication on the day of. Next day, I had some slight jaw discomfort from having my mouth open throughout the procedure (to be expected- & don't worry you don't have to hold it the whole time- they give you something to bite on to keep your mouth wide enough), but didn't need any additional pain medication. Years ago, I was getting ripped off from Dr. Chinta (got so much unnecessary work done because she induces fear making it sound like you're going to become and left to find a different dentist. She has multiple practices all over the Tri-Valley area under different names. I was calling around looking for a specialist for a re-root canal, asking basic questions such as procedure length and pricing. I don't have dental insurance and they are not a specialist office. They are charging WAY more for a consult and saying there's a chance they won't be able to perform the procedure after all (even though I have a referral from my dentist that states exactly what needs to be done). The "sweet" receptionist hung up on me for no reason when I asked why the price was so high if they're not specialist (I was not haggling, bargaining or anything). Long story short...dodged a bullet and throwing money in a pit. Finding out it was Dr. Chinta in the end it all made sense.

Unfortunately, I needed to have the nerve removed from the tooth to prevent further decay. Of course who wants to take time off from work for a dental procedure? Nonetheless, the friendly receptionist quickly scheduled me for a convenient appointment time, and the procedure took approximately 1 hr from check-in to check-out. The injection of Novocain was the most painful part, but nothing terrible. Dr. Chinta adeptly performed the procedure with essentially no pain experienced. The dental technician then filled in the cavity left by the removed root nerve and sealed the small hole in the back of the tooth. Once the Novocain wore off, everything was back to normal. I highly recommend Dr. Chinta and her staff if you are ever in need of their services.

I didn't expect much, but they actually followed through and called me when something opened up -- that small act alone made me feel like they truly care about their patients. As someone who works Monday through Friday, their schedule is a huge plus. They open as early as 7:30 AM, they're even open during my lunch hour at 12 PM, and they offer one Saturday each month, which makes getting care so much easier and less stressful. I have pretty significant dental anxiety, so going to the dentist is never easy for me. From the moment I walked in, though, I felt understood instead of judged. The first visit focused on X-rays and high-tech photos, and everything felt very thorough and thoughtful -- like they genuinely care about the health of your teeth rather than just rushing you through. My hygienist, Angela, was incredibly kind and personable and made me feel comfortable almost immediately. Dr. Shaghasi also took the time to talk with me and reassure me that my fears were completely valid. That meant more to me than I can explain.
