I've had a really rough go of life lately. I am SO thankful to have stumbled across this establishment. It was not a planned visit and WOW. For a person that's been in the industry for 25 years, I cannot say enough great things about Dunkley's. I walked in and was greeted so sweetly by the bartender, Heather. I sat down and looked around at my surroundings... clean, gorgeous & warm. I looked at the menu and of course thought, "this food looks great and it's also expensive" I ordered the beet salad and pulled pork.. INCREDIBLE. If anyone reading this lives in the area.. PLEASE stop in (I think they've been open 3 years) Fantasic experience. I'm rooting for this place. My mood was lifted in a way not a lot of places are capable of doing anymore. 100 Stars. read more

Solid average. 2.5 would be more accurate. Wanted to come check out the new Addison digs since we live down the street- Love the decor, was a bit hot in the dining area though. Server Jessie was friendly and attentive. I think it was the owner and his wife walking around, I wish they would have come up and asked how we like it or welcome to our place, something.... they asked the people to our left (which they knew already) and skipped us and asked the couple to our right, it was a little odd. Didn't feel very "welcome" That made the difference from 2 to 3 stars for me. Food- average. Not that it was bad, my husband and I agreed that $28 was a bit pricy for just being "ok" sandwiches-nothing extraordinary. Wouldn't go back for just the food, I'm sure if you're drinking in the bar it would be better. read more

Went there last night to see a band. Was told they only accept reservations for family and friends of the owner, after they had accepted a phone reservation and when my friends arrived were told their table was given away. Pretty bad business in my mind! Had people sit at one huge table, then they automatically put 20% tip on all the checks and had the nerve to argue when people questioned it. Drink charges were all over the place depending who you ordered from. Also trying to get a drink at the bar was ridiculous. Definitely will not be back there again ! They obviously can not handle any type of crowd! read more

My girlfriend and I, along with my family went here on a Saturday night while a band played. I ordered the grilled chicken avocado sandwich and it was really good. The bread they used was amazing. The chicken was juicy and had the prefect amount of avocado and cheese. French fries were one of the best! Definitely coming back here for the food. read more

Excellent restaurant! We were driving through Addison and saw this restaurant because of the outdoor seating. When we walked in, the staff was very friendly. It turns out this place got it's name from the first settler's of Addison, so it's a nice tie-in to the location. The decor was great - lots of exposed wood and a great fireplace - I'm pretty sure this would be nice during the colder months. The food was excellent - I had the tequila lime pork chop that came on a bed of mashed potatoes and grilled carrots and zucchini. The chop was cooked to perfection - nice cut, lean with just enough flavor. The glaze was excellent on the carrots and zucchini. The wait staff was attentive without being overwhelming - some places the staff stops by too much and interrupts your meal. I tried some of my wife's fish and chips - great cod that wasn't overwhelmed by the breading. Nice distinct menu with just the right amount of items. Don't waste your time with this place. We made reservations a MONTH BEFORE, in PERSON, to make sure that we could get a table to see Rick Saucedo's Christmas show for my birthday. We asked for a specific table for my birthday and made reservations for 7 30. We called ahead of time today, the day of the show, to confirm. At that point they said that they couldn't give us the table we reserved, we explained that we had reserved it a month ago. There was confusion on their end. Finally they said that they had a lot of reservations and would "fit us in". Gee, thanks a lot for "fitting us in" when we had made reservations before anyone else a month in advance. When we got there tonight, at 7 20, the table that they would "fit us in" at still had 3 people eating dinner at it. I asked why they were sitting at the table that we were to sit at, and she said it was because they were their regular customers, as if our reservations made no difference if a "regular customer" walks in to eat. I don't think that the owner or manager knows what a reservation means. We were told they would be leaving, but they were still eating !! We waited until around 7:40, like fools, for our table. Rick was already out on the floor singing and we didn't have our table yet. We asked the manager to come into the entrance to talk because it was too loud to speak to her in the room. She refused and said she was too busy !! I again told her that we made reservations a month before and that it was my birthday. She could have cared less. Then she proceeded to take her phone out and take a video of Rick Saucedo and the room! She couldn't talk to us, but she could take a video ! At 7:45 I went up to the people at the table that we were supposed to be sitting at and asked them if they knew that we had reservations, not knowing if this manager had even mentioned it to them. The man said yes and that they were leaving soon. At this point the manager came up to me, and waved me away from her customer with a condescending attitude. She again told me that they would be leaving soon. It was a two hour dinner show and it was already 15 minutes into it. I've never arrived to a dinner reservation for a dinner show, to have people sitting at our table halfway done with their meal. I've never been treated so badly by a manager and with such an unprofessional attitude. I was disgusted and decided we wouldn't be treated like that and we decided to leave at that point. They ruined my birthday that was planned for a month ahead of time. This was my first time at Dunkley's and my last. read more

This was my first time patronizing Dunkley's. There are many really nice elements of the place but it seems like they didn't quite nail the look. I loved the fire place and the bar is pretty cool. Ceramic wood tiling would have added warmth while keeping with the easy upkeep of normal tiles.Jukebox in a odd spot. Food wise was mixed as well. Calamari had good flavor and presented well but sadly was too heavily breaded. The warm bacon strawberry salad was delicious but too heavily dressed. The poached salmon with risotto was very tasty. Maybe some vegetables would've been good to add. Our waitress was very nice, friendly and attentive. Hopefully more experience will lead her to changing up her questions when she checks up on her customers. "Is everything ok?" EVERY time she checked on us got to be a little annoying which I don't believe is what she intended. Solid A for effort! A little pricey for ok food but willing to try them again. read more

Great food, friendly staff, wonderful environment, solid draught beer selection. Pros: Burgers are good. Thin patties mean you'll likely not have it cooked how you want it but it was still delicious despite being overdone and that's really all that matters. Fries were great. Food prices are reasonable for the area. Televisions at the bar are at the perfect angle for watching a game without straining the neck. Cons: a little slow (not super slow, just a little considering the place was pretty empty when I arrived) Drink prices are high for the area. Expect to pay $6-$7 for a craft beer you could pay $5-$6 for at nearby bars. Overall: the place is new; I'd expect them to speed up as they work out kinks. This place won't become my watering hole thanks to the slightly higher prices but I'll certainly come back for the food. read more

Tonight was my first time at this restaurant. I came with my friend for an early evening dinner. I ordered the fish and chips, and an Amstel Lite. The service was excellent, the food was hot and delicious, and the beer was ice cold. We restaurant is clean and well maintained. Friendly service, a nice experience to be sure. Randomly stopped In here before a wedding and was so impressed. We ordered calamari, fig and prosciutto flat bread and the wings half garlic and herb and half sweet lime and chili. I can honestly say I was not disappointed in any of our choices and neither were the 4 others I was with. The food was so amazing. The drinks were perfect especially their cocktails. My dirty martini was just right and the Dreamy Germain was such a fun fruity cocktail. The service was excellent and we will all be coming back again. First time at Dunkley's. Very nice tavern - has lots of sports on TVs but not a Sports Bar - nice decor on inside. Is someplace you can bring the family for lunch or a dinner. Very fresh & tasty food. Immaculate- and not just clean for COVID - you can see the time and care they take in making sure everything is in place ... even have fresh flowers in tables and in restrooms. Have gambling machines like every other bar - but they are in a separated area which is refreshing. Had the Dunkley Burger with cheese and bacon - very tasty and fresh. I think this is the only place in Addison that is still running daily and Happy Hour specials post COVID. Lots of events are planned including a car night - with car hops and live music another night. Strongly encourage to go - had no idea what a gem of a place this is. Will be back. read more

This is what this town needed. Ordered carry out. When I went in to pick up was greeted by friendly staff. The owners even came up to introduce themselves. Restaurant had a very family atmosphere. We will NEVER go here again. Went for an early dinner and was SHOCKED at the conversation between the bartender/ server and customer talking vulgar and her sex life with the customer. We were sitting at a table and can hear them my husband was going to go up to the bar to say hey it's pretty inappropriate but didn't waste his time on trash. The service was great and the food was amazing. Dont regularly comment about food yet a chicken breast sandwich but it was the best! Grilled perfectly with bacon and avacado with herb mayonnaise seriously my new favorite sandwich with a side of homemade coleslaw the best! The burgers are great and they also have Gluten free buns! I am visiting from out of town and heard about this new place that just opened so decided to give it a try. Nicely designed tavern feel that has a good family feel. We started out with some flights of beer to sample their diverse tap selections and some loaded fries, mussels, and buratta caprese. We moved to entrees ordering the bourbon salmon and tequila lime pork chops. Compliments to the chef, all the food was nicely flavored and made with fresh ingredients. I saw a number of the burgers/sandwiches being served and everyone seemed very happy with the fare at this newly discovered spot. I spend a lot of time on the road and eat out often, this place not only has great tasting food the prices are more affordable than most places these days. I will be back in town soon and will definitely be coming back to dig deeper into the menu. read more

My wife, son and I went to Dunkley's for dinner last Friday. We saw they got good reviews but we still kind of expected your standard bar food. We were pleasantly surprised. We started with the fig and prosciutto flat bread which was very tasty. My wife had the spicy chicken sandwich which was not too spicy, and she liked it very much. My son had the honey dipped chicken and he said it was moist and tasty. I had the special which was pork tenderloin. It reminded me of a great pork tenderloin I had at a supper club in Iowa. Combining the great food with great service made for a wonderful dining experience. We shall return. read more
