A month later, I still haven't heard from the other company. The estimation process was relatively painless, and the estimate was received about a week after the site visit. I was told it could be up to 6 weeks before I heard from the scheduler, due to their current workload. However, I was contacted on a Friday about 2 weeks later and was told that Monday had opened up for them and that a truck with the materials was already on its way to my property. Since they didn't need anyone home when the work was performed, I agreed. When I got home from work on Monday, the job was done. There was still some debris in the yard, but they did a really good job of cleaning up. I haven't found a single nail on the ground, yet. There were 30 MPH wind gusts the day of the job, so I'm surprised there wasn't more trash scattered around my 7 acres. (I'm also surprised I didn't find roofers scattered around my place!)
