I always drive past this place on my way home from the Wrentham Outlets. I finally got around to…read moregoing inside. My friend and I went on a weekday night, about 2 hours before closing so it was pretty quiet. I initially thought the bookstore was only on the first floor of the building but turns out it's a multi-story experience. There is a parking lot at the back where I parked and I was able to enter through the back door (not sure if this is the main entrance). On the first floor, they have some books, bathrooms, a check out desk, nick nacks (hats, stationery, puzzles, etc.), and most importantly, a coffee shop. The coffee shop was closing up around the time we got there so plan accordingly and do some research on their hours. as they are not the same as the bookstore. The books are clearly labeled by genre. After taking a stroll, we decided to check out the second floor which was supposed to have a little market, a stage where they host events, and some very comfortable couches along with tables and chairs. I mostly came to see if a book spoke to me, but also to get some reading in from the book I brought along with me. The lighting is good, although I sometimes prefer to have a dimmer setting for a cozier feel. We spent about 1.25 hours here, but we could have easily spent a longer time if it weren't so close to closing.

Honestly, this is refreshing as corporations understaff and stress their employees. This local owner know what we the patrons want, we want people who are happy with their jobs and that's done by great staffing. This is my go to for any gift. Yes, you're paying more for a book than you would on Amazon but this is the opposite of a greedy corporation who screws everyone. This is truly local and I'm lucky to live 20 mins away.

We had never tried boba drinks before, so my husband asked what they were. The owner was so lovely and explained boba and how they make them - even offered to do a combination of drink flavors for us as first time boba drinkers. We ended up with a mango and strawberry slushee type drink on top and passion fruit boba on the bottom. It was incredible. We now understand the hype. In the meantime, the grilled cheese we initially stopped for was also amazing. Our one year old (and five year old) gobbled it down as quick as they could. The pieces my husband and I tried were impressive for a grilled cheese! Highly recommend. Great products. Great customer service.

I have a 7 month old that needs a food break too but I don't want to go to the food court and then there is the Boba station. They have enticing drinks for kids but simple grilled cheese sandwiches with a combo price that's pretty affordable (just over $10.) So we stopped. It was made quickly, there were tables and chairs right there. We ordered a watermelon slushie with mango boba balls. The balls are not my thing and mango isn't for me. The slushie watermelon flavor was not as strong and then at the bottom it was too strong. I mean as a Rhode Islander Del's is way better. The sandwich- warm, gooey cheese and a lot of cheese )yes! The one sandwich easily fed all three of us for an early snack. I would definitely have the grilled cheese again.

Life is short. F.....it up! Family,Flavor, Friends…read more Was out tonight in the area went to the supercharged go kart place up the street. But one is something better than what the Place offered for food. Saw this nicely highly rated place and decided to check it out. This is a small mom and pops Restaurant when you first walk in the aroma of all the spices and the cooking reminds you of something from home. It's a acquaint place probably only seats about 20 people. Sing a table you have the atmosphere of being in Cuba except that it was 25° and we're in New England so now to the food we got the fried pork belly the pork sandwich and the Cuban all were very nicely made good quality, quality quality of food. Excellent bread did they use each bite was very savory and felt like it was cooked by your mom. Definitely leave her in the area and you're looking for something different. It's a must check out..

Parking can be a challenge here but you should be able to find some available street parking. When you enter Havana Cafe it feels authentic. I've never been to Cuba so of course take that with a grain of salt but I love the way they decorated and the music that was playing. Even though the restaurant is small we did not have trouble getting a 2 person seat. There were a few "reserved" tables as well so next time I visit I'll probably call ahead just to be safe Our waiter was incredible. Friendly, attentive, and offered some helpful suggestions. He was all of these things without being too pushy and made sure we felt properly checked on. I definitely recommend him but I wish I grabbed a name. For food we ordered a cheese and chicken empanada. Our waiter also brought out cilantro and habanero sauces. The empanadas were both incredibly crispy and filled will. The chicken was tender and had an intense but pleasant flavor. However, I think I preferred the cheese empanada. The sauces were both excellent as well. Even though I'm not a fan of cilantro I still liked this sauce! For dinner I had the fried sirloin with congris and fried yuca. The sirloin was perfectly tender and fried well. The yuca was also perfectly crispy while the congris was cooked well and had an excellent garlic flavor. I would definitely order this again. Some pictures made me think the portions would be small but I was satisfied after finishing my dish. We skipped dessert even though I was heavily debating trying the flan (maybe next time). My partner told me this was one of his "new favorite restaurants" which is high praise. I can not recommend Cafe Havana enough!
