We showed up at 8 and went to the pick up line for pre orders. Well... the lady in a gray dunkinDunkin' shirt greeted me very rudely and asked for the name on the order, she quickly said we don't have an order with that name. She said we were at the wrong place, I showed her the order on my phone and she still said there is no order with that name without looking it up. If I was her manager she would not be on the payroll. Then a young lady stepped in and she looked at the order, found the order and started to work on it. After 25 minutes I got my order. I was not the only one, several were waiting on orders longer than me. Management, if you are reading this, you need to evaluate your Gameday staff. The coffee and breakfast was fine, but the woman, who I am assuming was the manager, was extremely rude to her employees. The woman was and older skinny lady with short red hair, and she was rude from the time my family and I walked in. A younger, college aged gentleman took our order, and when he asked for help she snapped at him. When I told her that she should be nicer to her employees, she denied ever helping him and then told me to quote 'kiss my ass' twice as I was trying to speak to her, and then once more as I was walking out the door. Cute little spot for getting coffee or breakfast. Definitely get a DD perks card (app on your phone) to get coupons and rewards. Great iced coffee with cream and sugar. I also like to get the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a croissant. If PSU wins a football game the Monday after the game Dunkin gives free coffee. I came in here with the odd request of needing something in place of a birthday cake. I half expected to just grab a sprinkle donut, find some candles, and be on my way, but on a whim I asked the cashier if they did anything special for birthdays. The first guy said no, not really, rang me up and I headed out... ..but before I got a few feet, this other woman cashier comes up and is like, "Wait I think we can help you! Give me a few minutes." Seemed odd but I was intrigued, and stuck around. After rooting around in the back, she came back with a squeeze tube of frosting. A year before this place finally opened, I was chatting with faculty about how someone should make a killing opening a donut place downtown. 40,000 undergraduates and no donut shops? This was a great opportunity for someone to swoop in and make a killing. So what do we get from Dunkin' Donuts? Well, I'm sure it's probably a sound business decision. Drunk and stoned undergrads have no taste buds. If the place is open 24 hours a day, they'll walk down and buy sackfuls of donuts no matter how bad they are. So instead of getting, say, an actual shop where donuts are made, we have two fronts, one on each end of campus. Donuts are trucked in once or twice a day from Altoona, where a REAL Dunkin' Donuts makes donuts that are, what's that word, ah yes: fresh. We get the stale stuff in two convenient locations. Yay? This 24 hour Dunkin Donuts delivers. Except on football weekends. On football weekends you can expect a line out the door and a 40 min wait for Box of Joe or Hot Chocolate. My recommendation in that case is to go to Wegmans on North Atherton. On non-football weekends, this Dunkin has plenty of seating area, TVs, and offers good service. The print and contrast was poor. One college student was told he could not use his phone to look at the menu which is what many people who are visually impaired use when they can't see the menu. Great little store, during the day the cashiers and coffee makers are awesome. I've only experienced issues after 12am, most recently I ordered an iced dark roast with unsweetened coconut, caramel, and cream and sugar and I was given a medium hot coffee, told her it was supposed to be iced and showed her my receipt, ended up with a medium iced dark roast with only cream and sugar. I don't get donuts often but I got some for co workers today; When I walked in it was super empty, 5 workers were just hanging out behind the counter, one sitting on the counter on their phone, anyways I ordered three donuts, chocolate iced donut, Boston creme, and peanut butter filled. I didn't check the bag so when I got back to work I realize they gave me a chocolate glazed donut instead of chocolate iced. Absolutely horrible experience. I paid nearly $20 for a "box" and had a three minute conversation on how I wanted it to be hot chocolate not coffee. I paid for it and left, only to find out it was indeed coffee. I drove all the way back and the employee admitted that he had made a mistake. However, some horribly rude employee named Ginger told me I could not be refunded, or simply get what I ordered. I asked if I could just pay the difference for the hot chocolate and was met with a harsh no, that she could do nothing for me. I was not going to spend another $20 for their mistake, so I left empty handed. I have never had a more disappointing and down right rude experience with customer service. This morning, Monday 9/19/2016 around 7:23 a.m, I went to go and get my free Dunkin coffee after a PSU football win. This was my first time doing so and last night I had downloaded the app, created an account, and made sure my locations were on (which they were). Hoping to get my morning started, I walk into to Dunkin Donuts and right from the beginning I had poor service. The lady who helped me (bigger girl, wearing a black shirt, short hair), was VERY rude and unpleasant from the start. She wasn't welcoming and acted as if I was an inconveinice. I told her it was my first time using this app and that I have everything ready to go, I clicked redeem my prize (or whatever it is) and all of a sudden my app cleared it and it went away. She proceeded to be rude with me and tell me that I need my locaitons on, as I told her again "They are on, I doubled checked before I walked up here." I stood there for a good three minutes trying to figure it out and I saw her rolling her eyes...MEANWHILE, there was NO ONE behind me as I was aware because I would have left them in front of me, but as I mentioned there wasn't even anyone waiting at the moment. After rude service and someone acting like they're better than the customers and do not care to help them out, I walked out because I had to get to class. Not only did that lady who "greeted" me put in a bad word for me, I don't know if I will be going to Dunkin anymore because no customer should be treated like that. Whatever that ladies issue was, she definitely needed to get a tissue for it and get it out of her A$$. In all honesty though, I worked at Panera Bread before and I KNOW how customers should be treated.
