Got the 5 dollar meal deal. Perfect cook on sandwhich. The aïoli sauce was on it and hash browns were good. Coffee and donuts were also good

The worst Dunkin' Donuts in the world continues to be the worst Dunkin' Donuts in the world. Got a bagel with cream cheese and received a bagel with a tiny smear on half of the bagel. It actually looks better in the picture than it was. It was about a teaspoon of cream cheese that only spread a little bit because it melted. I went back and returned it and got a second one that was almost as bad and the rude people there argued with me about it, threw my bagel down on the counter in front of me and basically yelled at me. This is not the first time that the staff has been unbelievably rude there. One time they got my coffee wrong and when I pointed it out, the person took my coffee and threw it as hard as she could into the trash and I was polite about it. This is just a long line of unbelievably bad food that I've gotten at this one and I usually try to avoid it like most people. I wish Yelp would allow us to give zero stars. read more

Half of the time this location is great, the other half of the time they forget something in my order. I was shorted two bottled waters last time, and this previous time my order got forgotten about- I did a walk in pick up because the drive through was slammed. I know things like this happen when it gets busy and we're all human, but nobody double checked on me in the 15 minutes I stood there waiting. I had to flag someone and say hey I think u forgot about me. Then just a sorry and had to wait longer for my food. No comp, no coupon, nothing. Crappy response to a oversight. Does this location ever get anything right?? I have been here three times since moving to Shirley last summer. Every time I go here, I order a hot tea with extra cream and extra sugar and one ice cube due to their tea water being boiling hot. They have yet to give me extra cream and sugar. Last time there was so much ice in my hot tea it was cold. Today i picked up the cup to take a sip and the cover come off in my hand causing the boiling hot tea to spill on my hand. Obviously no ice cube and no extra cream , it was very dark. The three munchkins I got were already stale at 8: 20 am. Worst Dunkin's ever. I will not visit this location ever again. read more

If you only ever want hazelnut coffee grounds in stock, this is the place for you. Never any other flavors on the shelf Update: I try giving this place another shot as it's right down the street from my house. Depending on who is working now they will flat out lie to you and tell you machinery is broken or being cleaned simply because they don't feel like doing their jobs. The turnover and training at this location is absurd, and I will gladly drive 15 minutes out of my way to go somewhere else. read more

I live in Shirley and it's very convenient for me to stop here on my way to work or on a weekend. 9 out of the last times I've gone here my order has not been understood and messed up. I speak English with a perfect Massachusetts accent and don't stutter and almost every time when I get to the window it's wrong. Today 9/30/18 was the final time I can go to this location. read more

Very disappointed with them today. Stopped in the drive through and asked for a wrap and coffee. They told me the sandwich station has already been shut down for the day. Mind you it was 12:32pm and they stay open until 7:00pm. It was not indicated to me that there was a problem, because I said "shut down? At 12:30??" and the girl said "sorry yeah." It never fails... No matter when I go there they NEVER have Coffee Rolls... could be noon, 10 am, 8 am.... NEVER! When I try to complain I get attitude and a reply of well we only order a certain amount.... Well CLEARLY you need to ORDER MORE!!!!! So then usually my next question is ok then I guess i'll take some glazed munchkins... to which the reply is ALWAYS... Oh sorry we are out of that as well.... Ummm its freaking 8AM! you are a donut shop out of coffee rolls and donuts continually.... Some of the drive thru staff is very nice and professional. Some sit outside smoking until they see someone drive up then go inside, don't wash their hands and get your order, usually irritated that you interrupted them. I don't disagree with taking a break, but they do it often & it just doesn't look good for a food establishment. Just not what you want to see from someone handling your food/drinks. read more

I don't have any real complaints except for running out of items. I don't know if that they are busy all day but by 9a there were no large coffee cups, no corn muffins, no sweet peppercorn bacon, and etc on different occasions. Honestly, the customer service it's what I keep going back for and then I just get something else. They get my order right and the staff are pretty nice. This place is terrible. They will get your food order correct about 50% of the time. Yesterday, I got a dark roast pumpkin spice that was luke warm, and stale. The coffee is typically watered down and they usually use a minimal amount of the Swirl leaving you with this diluted cup of coffee. The employees are very nice, their polite and cheerful attitude is the only good thing about this place. I always leave here promising myself never to return, but today is the day. Safe yourself the frustration and go to Dunkins in Devens or Ayer. read more

Only 1 star because atleast one is required! This is the most aweful food establishment I've ever seen. One would think that the half mentally handicapped workers inside could accidentally get an order correct every once in a while. Being the only place in Shirley to get a coffe and breakfast I keep trying again hoping for a different result. (I know , insanity) Half the time they repeat your order back wrong from the start. But even if they actually take your order correctly, the chances of them actually making your simple sandwich or coffee correct is very unlikely. If you order a frosted donut they are always going to put it in the bag upside down so that it sticks to the bottom. If they happen to have a croissant or whatever sandwich bread you order in stock, they are sure to burn it or the meat or both. I blame it on management. I can't be the first person to complain, and after enough complaints you would think management would have to hire someone that is capable of taking a simple order, making the order correct, and getting it to the customer in a timely manner, so besides all of that this place is great! read more

Nice location, but food quality is sub Dunkin standard. Asked staff why sanwiches tasted dry and was told hey were instructed to make before opening so they could be served quickly. I'd go elsewhere for fresher food. read more

The only time I've ever gone there and they've actually had all items that I've order, I've only ordered regular coffee. Anytime I've tried to order anything other than regular coffee, they're out. I've gone many times because I work in town and there is not much else but I'm sick of it. I know people who live here and say, "it's horrible. It's always been like that. They never have any stock." You'd think if it's been an ongoing problem for years, the owners might FIX THE PROBLEM. I guess since there isn't much else around, theyre not very motivated to make a change. The lack of stock would be semi manageable if the service wasn't as slow as a snail and the staff was actually nice. There is only 1 staff person there who's ever been pleasant but she gabbed with car in front of me for a good 3 minutes. As I am either on my way into work or on my 1/2 hour lunch break, I don't have time to sit there while the employees shoot the s#*t about small town life. SMH. I do not recommend giving this establishment any money and shame on the owners/management for not making things better. read more

Drive thru speed is ok. They're friendly enough, but they are almost always OUT of the bakery items/donuts I want.

Remember the donuts are substantially old before the staff gets there to open. They sit in the entry way for a few hours. Before that they are set on a rack in a truck. With just a plastic bag. The kitchen bakes then starting in the afternoon the day before. The kitchen is run poorly. It is on Devens. I was a driver for the company. I refuse to eat day old donuts that they claim is fresh. The donuts sit there starting with the first batch all the way to the final run. So some donuts for hours before they are bagged and loaded onto trucks. Not so fresh huh? read more

Not sure what happened along the way but this Dunkins used to be a very well run restaurant but lately it has taken a serious nosedive. The main focus at this location is the drive thru and the lobby customers are left nearly to fend for themselves. The tables are always dirty and the floors are strewn with trash and debris at all times. At times the noise level in the lobby is unbearable with a competing cacaphony between the amped up volume of the TV and the employees screaming orders to each other in a war of decibels. The crew at the Shirley location does work very hard and deserve credit for working in a poorly managed and chronically understaffed restaurant Much of the problems comes from what seems a chronic understaffing at this location, especially in the evening hours. I have walked into the lobby on more than one occasion only to see nobody behind the counter or at the drive thru window. How inviting a target for theives not to mention unacceptable from a customer service point of view. The sad fact is that the next closest Dunkins is in Devens and it is a joy to visit that location. You are immediately greeted by a properly staffed crew and the lobby is always clean and organized. Not sure how two identical restaurants located so closely together could be such polar opposites in terms of service and cleanliness. Such a shame to witness the Shirley location nosedive so fast and the customers needlessly suffer as a result. For my money, it is worth the trip to Devens instead. read more
