This healthy, fresh restaurant recently opened this past Saturday 4/26/2021, in the former location of Salsaritas. After seeing the sign, the few times I have been to the Galleria mall, it was nice to check out another healthy option for mall patrons, or people like me that will stop in for the random mall staple of Auntie Anne's or Bath & Body Works. The Fresh Healthy Cafe concept: Motto " Wholesome Good Food", food that ranges on the menu are wraps, paninis, beyond burger, smoothies, juices, power bowls, protein salad bowl, signature bowls, organic iced teas, and soups. They do have options for making it a meal deal as well. I'm by far a healthy eater and love scoping out "health options" that are fresh, quick with reasonable standard pricing. They even offer a kids menu, never too late to teach your kids to eat healthy. All menu items are made fresh no matter what your order. All COVID guidelines were followed, their open kitchen concept and space in the location, reminded me of one of Gordon Ramsey restaurants. The staff were helpful and friendly, wish this new business much success as I do plan to return. My food items selections during my visit: The Tex Bowl, and half veg portobello panini. If you find yourself searching for a healthier option to the normal mall food, be sure to give Fresh Healthy Cafe a try!!

We happened to be in the Galleria Mall and went to Fresh Healthy Café for lunch. Have never been there before. I ordered a Fresh Squeeze orange juice for $7. This thin semi-tall African American young lady (I think wearing glasses) ran back and forth trying to manually squeeze the oranges to trying to use the automate Orange squeeze machine which didn't work. While the store was on/off busy due to lunch time and holiday rush, I was just shocked how many staff just looked the other way when she was begging for help. She could have easily given up and came to me and said the machine is broken or please order something else. She did not become discouraged when no one would help her. She didn't lose sight that customer has been waiting for 20min. She even apologized for the wait. She just kept trying to find a solution no matter what. Eventually she went back to the large automated Orange Squeeze machine, re-read the instructions and success! The machine worked!!!! She learned that larger oranges did NOT fit and jammed the machine. This young lady took the initiative to learn, to overcome and move forward when no one would help her, to have the humility to genuinely apologize for a delay and she never once gave up! She truly has the making of a great leader! If we had our own company I would hire her immediately! After nearly 25 minutes she gave me the juice and again apologized. My wife and I gave her a $20 tip! We are sad and we didn't get her name and only snapped the picture of the store as we left.

What is more exciting is the new range of vegan items on offer. For now, most vegan items need to be ordered in advance. I stopped by the shop and it's a no frills affair with a counter, shelves, and commercial freezers up front and bakery operations in the back. There are dressings, sauces, spice blends, cookies, bread, and frozen soup all on hand. The bread selection was small and not that fresh but that might be because most of their business is whole sale and advance orders. They had vegan Thanksgiving dinners for 1 or 20 and will have the same for Christmas. Lots of vegan bread and pies, including guava pie. They are also in the process of veganizing their classics like Buffalo Chips. Keep an eye on this place. It's only going to get better.

The Reuben-esque sandwich I had was easily the size of two individual sandwiches. The owner (who was quite nice) told me a bit about the place after I told her it was my first time here. Apparently they make everything there fresh. It truly shows. I'll go back, and probably soon.

It was so busy that our bread basket came out after our meal was served. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan sandwich. This time the chicken was evenly distributed between the sandwich halves, no rearranging needed! The sandwich is very good, but this time there seemed to be a bit more cheese, making the sandwich a little greasy. The flavor was very good, but my napkin was a mess from the juices/grease dripping out.

I made reservations well in advance and rolled in at the very senior-citizen-approved dinner time of 3:00 pm with seven of us, my kids and their friends in tow. Our waitress absolutely understood the assignment. She kept the kid-sized drinks coming (a strategic move to avoid 47 refill requests) and was incredibly patient, friendly, and personable with our crew. The hardest part of dining here is surviving the novel they call a menu, so of course, I did my homework beforehand. We started with the Jambalaya Arancini and Soft Pretzel Bites. The arancini were perfectly crispy on the outside and moist and flavorful inside (an instant reorder). The pretzel bites, though? The table demolished them. They also give you an absurd amount of beer cheese, which I happily took home... and may or may not have considered eating with a spoon. My Chicken Parmesan "Pizza Style" was hands down one of the best meals I've ever had at a chain restaurant. It's crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. My son completely annihilated every bite of the pasta in the center. Then came the main event, cheesecake. We tried Peach Raspberry, Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll, and Red Velvet. The Peach Raspberry is a standout: light, fresh, and perfect for summer. Even as someone who doesn't usually go for cinnamon roll desserts, I have to admit they absolutely nailed it. The girls loved the Red Velvet but wished for a bit more cake and a little less cream cheese. The biggest surprise? Feeding seven people for under $150. Thank you, Santa, for the Cheesecake Factory gift cards! I think we've officially started a new family tradition: National Cheesecake Day at The Cheesecake Factory every year.

I opted for the Annabel (2 eggs, pepper jack, spinach, tomato and chipotle mayo) on an everything bagel. It came to just under $10, which I found to be a bit expensive for a sandwich without any meat on it. It did taste good and the bagel was nice & fresh as they always have been when I have visited. I plan to stop back again... Perhaps on the weekend to see if there is more of a bagel selection available.
