Omg! This is the best BBQ in town. It's not like any other BBQ place. All the other ones I've been…read moreto taste the same. This here is fresh and made everyday. This is not a chain restaurant. The walk inside transports you to a vintage world that is now lost in the past. Very cool and nostalgic feeling. Staff are super nice and work together as a team to get the orders out to the customers. A little bit of a wait but it is worth it, trust me! Satisfaction filled me with a blissful warm belly. They serve you enough that you can finish but you will leave content not stuffed to the point where you just can't move or breath. Can't wait to return for a second round of tender juicy meats with amazing sides to accompany the main dishes.

This place was a good barbecue place and the food is still good with some caveats. But someone…read morewatched the Bear and is trying to turn a barbecue hotspot to a restaurant. Out front they have Michelin 2026 on their sign. They're now a sit down restaurant inside of with a vinyl DJ playing jazz. The food is still good, but the atmosphere is a horrible mismatch. I can't even get my own refill of iced tea you have to have your waitress take your plastic cup while you hold your straw to get a refill. I was told to wait at the bar to place an order. Then I stood there for two minutes before being asked if I wanted a menu. Then I waited to place an order. The bartender informed me that he has to make a couple drinks before he can get to my iced tea ( self service wouldn't have this issue) . When I got my to-go iced tea, I had to find my own straw ( once again not an issue with self service). Food was ready to go fast enough. But as I waited the clash of a barbecue place with everyone trying to be upscale when they have anime playing on the TV that you can't hear because they're blaring jazz. The worst part was the cornbread I got was about an inch and a half diameter cupcake. I don't know what they charged me for the cornbread, but it was too much for the Costco free sample size of cornbread I got. I felt like I just ordered the cornbread small plate at an American themed European restaurant. Aside from the cornbread, they do know how to do their food well but they have no direction. Please get rid of the liquor license you only need beer. Get rid of the DJ. Make your cornbread in a pan or a skillet and make it big enough that one hand eating is challenging. This should be an all American barbecue place where it's Fourth of July every day.

I remembered Donut King is open late (until 9:00pm today), and I am glad I took a longer drive. I didn't know they were giving away a free donut today. I truly felt blessed (lol). I went in for a glazed twist donut that's combined with regular Donut dough and chocolate dough. Walking out with a free vanilla iced donut was a great way to celebrate National Donut Day. While it was obvious they were VISITED today, and the plaza isn't the cutest, the Donut quality is great, and the customer service I received today was PHENOMENAL. The gentleman with the bandana was extremely kind.

Consistent in quality like a blue chip stock that you hold onto for 35 years. Ambiance is great. Storefront is in a dingy strip mall, but inside is a wall of donuts that looks like the Great Wall of China in donut form. A formidable display of deliciousness that will make your day better from the very start. Service is equally as formidable. There are always a ton of people in line, but they serve their way through them very quickly and efficiently. Very nice folks, and they always seem to have everything in stock. The donuts themselves are the best part. Soft, airy, topped with the perfect amount of toppings, filled with the perfect amount of fillings, and there are a few truly unique offerings that are very intriguing. You just can't go wrong. Overall, other gourmet offerings are out there, and they're pretty good, too, but Donut King is my original, and quite frankly, if I'm driving out to the coast for a long day of birding, I would pick the King over any of those other places anyway,

His wife wanted to open a gourmet donut shop…read more So, they did what all great visionaries do: they combined the two and created Smoke & Donuts here in Orlando. Friends, this place is proof that compromise can be beautiful. Sweet meets spicy meets (meats?) savory. Every bite felt like someone dared a pitmaster and a pastry chef to create the ultimate brunch, and somehow they pulled it off. The only drawback? Ventilation. It's stuffy inside. Plan on smelling like a smoky glazed donut the rest of the day. PS. If anyone wants to bring this concept to KC, I'd like to be considered an early investor. Or at the very least, a highly enthusiastic taste tester. Holy hell. Brunch of champions.

Parking wasn't an issue either. As I walked in, I was greeted by who seemed to be the owner and a young woman. Very nice, lovely staff. Everyone was so sweet. My only issue was that they didn't have a good portion of their menu ready and it's mostly because they didn't have the gravy for their dishes. The ones we wanted came with gravy and the staff let us know they were behind on making it. So we pivoted and tried their prime rib smash burger but unfortunately that felt a little disappointing. For the price that it was, you'd think that you'd get a decently portioned burger or some sides with it but it was super tiny. And the bun felt like grocery bread, the type you can get for a home bbq. It was still delicious but rather disappointing at the same time. We ended up having to order a third dish just to feel satisfied and at least it was very good. The bowls are worth it, maybe not the burger but the bowls for sure! I also snagged up a donut and truthfully that is one of the best donuts I've ever had. Another downside to this spot and why I didn't give it a 4 star is because how slow the service was. We watched a whole family get up and leave because it was taking so long, I actually felt bad for the staff and owner. The place has great tasting food, just needs a little shaping up. Maybe someone who can run the kitchen as a head chef. Overall, I still recommend the place but just know that you'll be waiting a while and some things may not be available.
