A family member has heard great things so we wanted to try the new donuts. The selection was not A LOT but had a great variation. The menu looked like they also sold boba! I would love to try the next time I'm in town. The donut place has ample seating and the staff were very nice. We ordered a box of six donuts. Everyone's favorite was the apple fritters. They had chunks of apples in the donuts. Not a lot thought but a good amount.

I love that they change their seasonal menu and decor throughout the year. It keeps every visit feeling fresh and fun. The staff is one of the best parts of the experience. They're friendly, genuine and honest. They recognized us when we walked in, remembered their regular customers by name and even knew many of their usual orders. That level of service is so impressive and really makes you feel welcome. I stuck with my tried-and-true favorite, the gluten-free Johnnycake with sausage, poached eggs and hollandaise. It was just as delicious as I remembered. Once again the portions were generous enough for leftovers. This time I also tried the gluten-free cinnamon roll with butter. Flavorful and delicious! (And yes, butter really does make everything better! ) I'll continue to rave about Mae's Place and can't wait to come back to try one of the gluten-free bagels or wraps next. If you're looking for a fantastic breakfast with plenty of gluten-free options and exceptional service, Mae's Place is absolutely worth a visit.

It was around 1:30pm and they still had plenty of pastries. Despite them being open 24/7, it didn't seem like they were still baking anything new. The 3 pastries we got weren't warm or super fresh which I think would've made this more enjoyable. The Malassada is a Portuguese fried donut; it has a sweet glaze on the outside and pretty thick and dense on the inside. This would've been delicious if it was fresh out of the oven! Ma's Donut was my favorite - it was a classic glazed donut that was airy, light, and not too sweet. The Bavarian Cream Donut was also a good try but didn't stand out. Good try, especially if you catch them while they're fresh!
