Here at 5:30 on a Thursday evening and all the chairs are up. I'm sure because they mopped the floor. But workers made no attempt to put them back. So felt unwelcome and weird. Like we should not be in there but should go to drive thru.

The cold foam dripping down the cup she later handed me.

-10/10!! Wouldn't come again! Ava was incredibly disrespectful. I was treated poorly after having a small request on my drink. She continued to throw the cold foam out of my drink then handed me my drink with cold foam dripping down my cup. Another night I visited at 8:40, 20 minutes before close. I was told they were not accepting orders but I had placed a mobile order. They then made my drink while Ava belittled me.

Have been here a couple times and love this location! Clean, usually not too busy or crowded, and the employees are fun and friendly. Our server today, Ronisha, was especially smiley and helpful and we had a great experience. Currently enjoying our iced coffees. I'm sure we'll be back real soon!

Wow. Where do I start? Got some of the worst and most passive aggressive service. I messed up and forgot to ask for a non-dairy because I'm very allergic and the person working refused to change milk. I told them I can't drink it so they gave me this only partially full cup that wasn't completely blended (notice the green bottom). This is not acceptable and was clearly a passive aggressive attempt to get revenge for me asking them to make my order the only way I could consume it. They charged me an extra dollar for the milk and only gave me this drink that is only 3/4th full. Don't worry I came home to add more almond milk to it and the mend it even tho it cost $5.50. Not only, they refused to make a sandwich for me because they were going to close in ten minutes. I understand they were about to close but the store officially closes at 7 than it closes at 7. This just makes both the customers and the customers resentful when the staff thinks that they can close down the store early. This is bad leadership. The expectation should be the store closes when the store closes.

That's the disgusting, giant pile of crm cheese plopped in between the sliced bagel! Why not a little tub I can do myself? Yuck!

Pfaffs Bakery is a Pontiac, IL institution. If you want to experience the local cuisine, Pfaff's…read moreBakery is a place you simply have to visit. This is an old-school full-service bakery where everything is made on-site and fresh daily. Whenever friends and family come back to Pontiac to visit, they all want a few treats from Pfaff's Bakery. It just tastes like home. If you've never experienced Pfaff's Bakery, you owe it to yourself to give it a try. I promise you, you won't be disappointed, but get there early. Things sell out fast every day. It's that good.

Pfaff's Bakery - A Route 66 Sugar Rush Worth Every Mile…read more Walking into Pfaff's feels like opening the door to a time capsule... one that smells like maple, chocolate, and everything good about being alive. There's something comforting about a place that's been doing its thing since 1954, and clearly doing it right. The display case? Dangerous. In the best way. Everything looked so inviting it turned into a full internal debate between my eyes, my taste buds, and my very real pastry weakness. Spoiler: the pastries won. The donuts were some of the best I've had in a long time. Soft, light, just the right amount of sweet without tipping into sugar overload. My favorite was the one that reminded me of a palmier... flaky, delicate, and honestly a little heavenly. Service could use a bit of an upgrade on the friendly department. We're in the middle of a six-week road trip, and this stop, a small detour between Chicago and St. Louis, ended up being one of those unexpectedly perfect moments. Good coffee, great donuts, and a bonus hit of Route 66 nostalgia (yes, I'm fully that person). If you're anywhere nearby, don't overthink it. Just go. And maybe order one extra... you'll understand why.

SUMMARY: Don't waste your time or money on these overpriced…read morenovelty donuts served by shockingly rude employees (or if they're the owners, shame on them! Disgusting attitude!). Go to Schnucks for donuts at half the price and tastier. Please read the entire review for details. ==== HOURS: I wanted to try their donuts, and I've dropped by twice before my actual visit at about 11 - 12 PM, only to find the place closed. I wondered if the company had closed permanently. ==== SERVICE: The absolute worst part of my experience here. I walked in yesterday, Friday 08/22/2026, and two older ladies were behind the counter. They failed to greet me, not even a "Good morning" as the rest of the entire country does reflexively when they see another person. The two continued talking to each other as if I didn't exist. Once I was at the counter, this was the conversation as close as I can recall it: Me: "Morning!" Clerk 1, as if annoyed by my presence: "What do you need?" Me: "I want a dozen donuts. I don't care which ones, as long as they have no nuts or coconut." Clerk 1 nods, then continues their conversation with the other employee as if I wasn't there. Me, interrupting them: "You know, I tried coming here two other times, and y'all were closed. Do you people close shop after you are sold out?" Clerk 2, dryly: "No. We never close early. We close at 2 PM." Me, frowning because of the blatant lie: "Right." Clerk 1: "Do you want a Maple Donut?" Me: "Sure, I don't care. Say, your (ordering) website says that first-time customers get $5 off a $20 purchase." Clerk 2: "You have to order online." Me: "Oh. I can place it and pay online." Clerk 2, annoyed: "No. You can't place the order today. You can only place it tomorrow." (NOTE: Their website restriction only says: "This offer is only available to first-time guests." This says nothing about having to place the order for another day. So they lied.) Me, skeptical and slightly annoyed: "Okay... Hmm... do I want a bacon maple donut... How much is it?" Clerk 1: "$3.50." Me, pondering for a moment: "No, I'll pass. I got plenty of donuts." Then we proceeded to complete the transaction to avoid any further conversation with them, and I left with a sour taste in my mouth from that interaction. This is not the way to treat any customer, especially a first-time customer! My average donut shop experience is that I'm met by a clerk with a sunny attitude and a desire to help customers (whether genuine or to get tips). These two old bats really need a stern talking-to by management or, if they're the owners, this bakery does not deserve anyone's business. ==== FOOD: Overrated, mid-quality donuts. If you go to buy a novelty product claiming to be made of potatoes, you would at least expect it to have a trace of potato flavor. If I were to give it a generous review, I would say it tastes like an average donut. Granted, the donuts are huge, but so is their price. Since I'm not here to sugarcoat this bakery, these donuts are extremely sweet, to the point that they overpower everything else. If I wanted to taste sugar, I'd eat a heaping mouthful of sugar! You can't taste anything else of the donut, not even the oil it's cooked in, and that's saying something! These donuts also grow stale very fast. I had a leftover donut this morning, properly stored, and it tasted like it had been left out in the open for a couple of days. ==== ATMOSPHERE: Uninteresting. A few tables and chairs are scattered about, but it has no sense of decor. It has a bus station diner vibe. ==== CONCLUSION: This bakery lacks decor and a homey feel, offers overhyped donuts that taste only of sugar, and is staffed by two unpleasant, bitter hags. Consider going elsewhere!
