Drive-thru coffee shops are blooming on here recently. I suppose that having visited a few drive-thru coffeehouses, this opens the prior closed door on visiting them for my blog. I figured that the lack of being able to experience the vibe and feel for them shouldn't exclude them from my sampling as they can have their own style and their own uniqueness. On a trip to Bloomington with my dad to get lunch, I needed coffee. I slept all morning so trying to get one before we left was a no-go. I figured that since we are visiting Bloomington, I would just visit one that I still have on my list and Blooms Coffee Bar was my choice for today. I drove around the building to see if there was a walk-up window but no such luck. I pullled up to one window (there was one on each side) and the kind barista asked me to pull around to the other side as that's the proper side to order from. I zoomed on over and asked for a moment to look over the menu before deciding what sounded good. Shockingly, I didn't get my usual americano. I was in town for pigging out and decided to treat myself to the Salty Sweet. My dad said he had 3 cups of coffee already and wasn't in the mood for more. It wasn't busy so the lady said I didn't need to pull around to the other window I was just at to pick up my order. So THAT'S how they operate. The drink was made fairly quick and I dipped to the parking lot behind Bloom's to enjoy my drink as we waited for Flinger's to open at 11am. This drink was just the thing to start my day. It was a perfect balance of sweet and salty (which is how I mis-ordered the drink by saying the name backwards). I even went against my usual order style and got a medium instead of a large. I should've gotten the large cause it went down smooth and fast. I pulled around to the front of the building to try and snap a few photos but ended up pulling out too far so my phone's camera put in some work on getting some decent quick snaps for this blog. I am glad that I've started to add these drive-thru only places to my list as each one has been delicious so far. Take this as a lesson to not limit yourself based on silly notions and assumptions. read more

Our drinks were really bad. I threw out my drink after a few sips. It tasted like badly flavored ice water. I got a Twilight. My husband said his was bad-the voltage. We will not be coming back here. I do not understand how they have such a high rating, we were extremely disappointed. read more

Reasonable prices, super convenient. Seems like a good place to swing by to get your morning coffee. They also have a frequent visitor card. The coffee itself is fine, though I just had an iced latte (Twilight, I believe). Appears that it is in the lot of an abandoned store, so it's pretty easy to access. I wouldn't make a special trip, but judging by my visit, if it's on your morning route, you can probably get through the line more quickly than at a Starbucks. read more

Ordered through the Joe's App which I love for the rewards, smoothness, and easier customizing than trying to speak through a mask - but oddly when I pulled in 10 minutes later they had not started my drink. A bit unusual to be so behind for not a busy day, but small matter, there's plenty to try here but again it's not much for quality or value. I like the quick speedy drive through and smart location. Service seemed to be awake, others have had great experiences too I read on both Yelp and Google but for Bloomington coffee options there's quite a few offering more enticing menu perks with high quality coffee and syrups. My Candy Cane (white chocolate and peppermint) was a generous size and well packaged with the double cup for lesser heat. But the flavors were too hidden, hardly a smattering of white cocoa sugars and not at all a sparkle of that winter minty goodness. I completely forgot what flavors I had ordered by my second sip. Guess some people will enjoy that low-cal-mouth-sensation but I'm needing a bit more to my bean brews! read more

It's upsetting that none of their employees wear masks while serving you. They are not socially distanced from your car, only about 3 feet from you. And their straws do not come in a wrapper so potentially they could touch their face and then touch your straw. Disappointing to see a business have little regard for covid, as a health care worker myself it is upsetting. read more

Not too sure why this place has no reviews yet! Stopped by for an iced coffee and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Black & White iced coffee and my husband got the iced pumpkin spice with oat milk - both were delicious!! Not overdone with cream or sugar which is hard to find sometimes. Went a couple times hoping it would get better. Italian sodas are bland, watery, and overpriced. A common theme is way overdoing the amount of cream they put in their drinks. The "White Caramel Mocha" was like drinking caramel syrup, despite their huge efforts in getting good tasteful beans from Oregon (want to be Dutch Bro's) their employees mask the flavor of the coffee with syrup and cream. Speaking of masks, during COVID, none of their employees even the boss, were thoughtful enough to wear gloves or a mask. All in all, don't waste your money on their subpar coffee and drinks, stick to Starbucks or Dunkin'. read more

The quality of the coffee served here is exceptional and exactly how it should be. My recommendation if you want sweet drinks that have a hint of coffee flavor is to visit Starbucks where they can fulfill all of your sugary desires. Blooms Coffee Bar is by far one of the best in town because they do a good job of incorporating flavor and sweetness without affecting the taste or quality of the coffee. My kids and I love going here because the staff is so sweet and they make sure my boys get exactly what they want. Haley and Summer are both incredible baristas and you can tell that they care a lot about the quality of drinks and the satisfaction of the customer. Blooms is a spot to hit when you're in the area!! Took my daughter when she wanted coffee. She was delighted at the flavor of the black and white. I had the Chai Tea Latte and was blown away! The prices are great!
