The bathrooms were not only immaculate but they literally had everything you would ever need in a bathroom situation, including baby wipes!!! So accommodating! Barista (good looking quiet guy with longer hair) was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable of their selection of drinks and pastries. Enjoyed the cookie I had as well as my drink. Ambiance was good, but looking at their website showed a significant use of Artificial Intelligence. Personally, I don't like supporting companies that take away jobs from creative digital designers and give them to soul-less robots. Level up your caffeine experience. Emily and I dropped in on our way to Analytical Brewing as I needed something to wake me up and Emily needed something to keep her going. I learned about this place recently while updating my list of coffeehouses in the Bloomington/Normal area and was surprised I never heard about it until then. Normally the algorithm knows to show me ALL the coffeehouses in whatever area I am in but I suppose some do slip through the cracks. We pulled up and noticed there was a drive thru and it was popular. One car at the window with 2-3 cars pulling in behind it. We walked in and it was also decently busy inside. Not a bad crowd for 3:30pm. We walked up and ordered our drinks from a friendly barista. She asked if we had ever been there before and where we were from. After making small talk, we took a look around and then plopped down near the front of the store. It didn't take long to get my americano and Emily's Slo-mo. Being quite the connoisseur of americanos (joking, I don't know anything about coffee except how to drink it), I noticed my drink was looking a bit light brown. I've come to judge just how bitter they can be based on how dark they are and usually the darker, the more bitter. Not always the case and this was one of those exceptions. My baseline is the Dunkin' americano, which is just right, in my opinion. This was maybe a notch or two below that. It packed more of a punch than I expected but left me wanting something a smidge bit more. Either way, it was really good. Emily go the Slo-mo and she let me try a sip. It was good on it's own but tasting it between sips of my drink made it taste a bit better, as it countered out the bitterness. They had a wide assortment of baked goods at the counter but since we were planning to get food on the way to the brewery, we decided against getting anything. They did look good, though! I wish I would've snagged a photo of what they had to offer so you could see. Honestly, this place was pretty nice. The walls are white and a bit barren and I thought the place might be video game-based due to the name but aside from a light up Starman from Mario Bros. and a single multi-game arcade cabinet in the corner, it was your standard coffeehouse. There is an outdoor patio area but with the random heatwave that hit recently, it wasn't really a great day to sit outside and do much of anything. Anyways, check it out if you are in the area. I could definitely see myself going back if the opportunity arises. read more

It's impressive that the vibe of this cafe can fit perfectly in any groups! Whatever individual, couples, families, or a group of friends, you're gonna find it so comfortable sitting inside with a cup of coffee. They provide quite various options for special drinks, smoothies, and coffee. I only tried the iced Americano this time, but the taste wasn't strong enough and there was too much portion of water in it compared to the normal one. Though the Americano is not so much satisfying, their environment is definitely attractive and worth a 5 out of 5, with reasonable prices and friendly baristas! read more

Top end city coffee spot, they make their own vanilla syrup which is a great start to eventually make everything for an idea caffeine dream! I found an easy mall neighborhood corner dig with a drive up window and easy parking, bright and inviting atmosphere, generous menu featuring winter specials, enticing combo! Could easily spend quality time here if it wasn't for a reception I had to run off to, ordered a Hazelnut and Irish cream brew for the impending post matrimony party, did me so good! The staff was extra friendly too, glad to be greeted and sent on my way. Noticed there was no rewards program, maybe that is being setup? Can happily recommend Lvl Up right up with the best of Bloomington bean and espresso fixes. It's not quite the over priced fancy craft of Coffee Hound but that's a good thing to avoid a ten dollar drink! read more

Fun idea for a coffee shop, they just opened but there definitely will be more to come. The menu has unique items that I've never seen before. Paid for 20 oz coffee, it came in a 12 oz cup. Was I supposed to hang out and get a 'free' refill? Pastries still out in the open on the counter by the cash register, despite being cited by the county health department for that a month ago. cold brew is very gross. acidic and burnt tasting and not silky smooth, like it was brewed hot. i get a cold brew with vanilla cold foam everywhere and this is by far the worst. i went home and added some creamer to it and still threw it out before drinking even half the cup. the cold foam was bad too, taste like chemicals. and the energy drinks just taste like sour syrup. the atmosphere and ambiance inside is the only redeeming quality of this coffee shop and it's still not that great, pretty small. also they ask for a tip before even making your drink like what ?? read more

This place has a very modern and contemporary style. Great place to do any type of work or Bible study! The coffee is very good but the line takes really long which is a little bit disappointing. I ordered a medium iced lavender vanilla decaf latte. I love that there's a drive thru for people who don't want to go inside! There is also a very cute room in the back which is super secluded and perfect for privacy. I hate the straws. They are super flimsy and and bendable. I love the atmosphere! It was a great place to study and the barista was nice. I ended up trying two drinks after the first, Moon and Stars, was wayyy too sweet for me. Staff is always nice and the atmosphere is great. Possibly the best place in town for coffee - the espresso is unmatched and it's no wonder everyone loves it...all besides that Fred guy who thinks Lvl Up actually sells 20oz coffee. Maybe if he spent more time using critical reading skills he would've saw that they don't offer a 12oz size for coffee and could've gotten what he ordered the first time. Despite a review that included a customer who thinks he's the health department, this second location is a great addition to the College Shoppes area and I can't wait to go back for another white caramel latte. read more
