I ordered a small iced matcha latte with almond milk, sugar free, and light on the matcha. It was perfectly balanced and refreshing. I also had a small hot Pumpkin Miel with oat milk that was cozy, smooth, and full of flavor. Both drinks were a great size and tasted wonderful. I really like that they seem open to custom orders, and you might even be able to create something off menu with the syrups displayed near the register. There is also a small table with straws and other extras, including boba straws. The pastry selection is impressive, and I even saw a chocolate vegan pastry. The shop has a calm and inviting atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. This town is known as the pumpkin capital of the world, so of course I had to try a pumpkin latte. Before heading down to Edwardsville for a weekend of fun with some friends, we stopped off at Eli's to grab some caffeine for the 2 hour drive. One of my friends (the one who took the Featured photo) was surprised none of us had been there and recommended we go. So we stopped and made a short walk to Eli's. Upon getting there, come to our surprise that it is in a converted house. How homely and cozy is that?! It must've been some High School gathering because there were young kids everywhere. But not too much that made it seem packed. The staff was friendly in taking our orders and dealing with the amount of people. Since we were on the road, we took our drinks to go. On the way out, we snapped a group photo with their business sign. The drinks were good. Not a single complaint amongst us. You really can't go wrong with a delicious drink, usually. It's been a few years and I still haven't gone back. I need to rectify this soon! I would like to try out their baked goods and have some more delicious coffee. They are also expanding. Loved the setting of this place. Literally a Victorian turned into a coffee shop! When you enter you feel relaxed and chilled. Perfect for a read or study. As someone mentioned before, this is an old house converted to coffee shop. Definitely cute, cozy, and homey, but really lacking accessibility. This could be solved by knocking down a wall or two. Not only would that make the entire design better, but it would be more accessible for people with disabilities to get around from room to room. We ordered the Lavender latte, French vanilla latte, and maple pecan scone. The scone was delicious. The Lavender latter was good, but needed a little less syrup in it. We stopped by here for iced chai and lunch on a road trip pit stop. It's a really fun, unique space with a study room upstairs, and they have plenty of choices for healthy and satisfying lunch options. I have been getting the same drink at Eli's for about 6 years. Call me crazy but I found a drink that is delicious and I cannot stray from it! This drink is called The Diva and I enjoy it both hot and iced. Most recently air came to Eli's while visiting after not being in town for about 2 years. The Diva tasted exactly how I remembered it! Definitely recommend as Eli's is a Morton staple. Only reason for giving 4 stars is that the ordering area can become very cramped mostly due to being a remodeled home. read more

An actual coffee shop in Morton, IL! After growing up here and moving away 25+ years ago, this is a very welcome site. I really enjoy the ability to order online and have them bring it out to my car. I'll gladly pay extra that type of service instead of standing in a line! Stopped here for a 6am coffee on a drive from Peoria to Chicago. This place is simply adorable. You walk in and wonder if it's the coffee shop or if you accidentally walked into someone's house. It's cozy, cute, and the barista was really friendly. I ordered a butter rum latte and a banana Nutella muffin to snack on during my flight. It was so good, I didn't notice I had Nutella all over my face until a friendly flight attendant made me aware. The menu included a large selection of coffees, house made pastries, and even hot breakfast sandwiches. Stumbled upon this little gem via recommendation of a local shop owner and couldn't be happier! Such a cute little café serving up fresh sandwiches, salads, wraps and of course desert! My friend and I split a house salad that even though it was pre made, was fresh and delicious. We followed the sandwich with a half melt, turkey, brie and apples! So delicious and filling and was complimented with homemade veggies chips (we need the recipe). After our amazing lunch, we followed it up with a seven layer bar that called our name at the checkout - this was pure bliss and the perfect way to end our meal. One negative, while dinning, we could not get free refills on our ice tea; while we enjoyed the ice tea to no end, $3 for an ice tea with no refills was a little steep. My husband and I had a gift card to use so we made a visit! We are not typically in Morton, but after visiting today... I may come to Morton more often! I had a sausage/egg bagel and my husband had a turkey melt with chips. My bagel sandwich was very tasty for being so simple! I didn't try my hubby's sandwich, but he said it was good! I was very excited to try this new coffee place with my daughter--I was getting a coffee and a sammie, and she would get a glass of white milk. To my surprise, the baristas refused to give me white milk for my daughter, as she was screaming about white milk. I tried to say that I could get a milk steamer, just don't steam it. (That would be me paying FOUR DOLLARS for a glass of milk) and they still refused. Obviously these baristas aren't mothers, but the fact that a COFFEE SHOP can't give my daughter a glass of milk is aggravating. I spoke to a manager, who was also very rude. My sister just introduced me to this place. We came during their busiest day of the year, the pumpkin festival, and still managed to enjoy ourselves while waiting in line for over 30 minutes. The desserts looking amazing, I even tried the pumpkin spice macarons (which were to die for). They were running a bunch of pumpkin flavored specials for the festival. This is an adorable coffee shop in downtown Morton, about 15 minutes outside of Peoria. It is an old house that was converted into a coffee shop, so there are lots of rooms to choose from when you're finding a seat. We were here on Saturday morning and there was live music outside on the porch. There is outdoor seating if the weather is good. The upstairs has "quiet" seating for intimate conversations or studying. My latte was good and my husband is a big fan of their coffee. Their food is just OK. I recently relocated to Peoria from the East Coast and I'm going through serious bagel withdrawal. (but that's not Eli's fault, obviously!) They have free wi-fi, so bring your laptop. We held a memorial service for my mother at Snyder Village in Metamora. We were not sure where to go to get bakery goods, coffee, etc. We let our fingers do the walking and found Eli's. We spoke with Rachel and told her what we were hoping for. Rachel offered her expertise and made many suggestions and came up with the perfect catering order. We had people from all over the world and the USA and everyone agreed everything was attractively packaged and no one had tasted any better anywhere. Thanks to the bakers and Rachel's attention to every detail and to the counter staff who got our order for us, we couldn't have been happier! I really like this little coffee shop. I never have had a bad experience here. I LOVE their syrup flavorings, and the fact that they offer amaretto! My lattes have never disappointed! I have never gotten food here but the wraps, sandwiches, yogurt cups, soups, and many other foods look fresh. The service has always been friendly, helpful, and welcoming. There are three main rooms, and an outside seating area. The upstairs is soley for "quiet study" which is nice for students wanting to get away from the "coffee house gathering" groups that's pop in. I've always found a seat and things always have been clean! One of my favorite coffee houses in this area.. Definitely worth a try! read more
