I walked in, spotter the apple fritters, and my face showed such excitement that (who I assume was the owner) asked what I saw to make me so excited. She was happy to see my unbridled happy reaction, and I was happy to see such yummy fritters!

However, the quality of the doughnuts overall has gone downhill at all locations. They used to use real strawberry jam in their Bismarck, but now it's just red gel. Likewise, their Boston Cream used to be real custard with flecks of vanilla - now it's just yellow, vanilla-flavored goo (same as DD) . . . I could go on and on. I wish they would revert back to the original recipes from when they first opened years ago.
