Milis Dunkin Donuts -- 871 Main Street / Route 109, Millis Storefront
    Brandon K.

I drive down Route 109 so, so much, it's becoming somewhat annoying. Essentially for the traffic it does, there should be much more on it, and there should be at least one other Dunkin Donuts in Millis. Living in Westwood, whenever traveling on Rt 109 towards Milford, this is the first drive thru location I drive by. Outside of this Dunkin' location (unlike most of the others) there is a bold sign reading "Do Not Stack Cars Beyond This Point". Sometimes, the drive thru line is literally at the exit, and therefore, I must either pull into the lot to inside of the restaurant, or wait until Medway. 99.9999999% of the time that this happens, I just wait until the Medway location. Now, I understand this really isn't the restaurant's fault, but they could try to move the line along quicker, as sometimes when I do visit this location it is slower than the one up the street in Medway or other drive thru locations I've visited before. Also, depending on what day you go to the drive thru, there is one employee who literally questions each thing you order, if you say "I would like a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich", she will reply "So you want a egg, bacon & cheese". It is so rude and completely annoys me. Normally food is made to order and is good enough for breakfast or lunch. If the line is anything over 3 cars, just drive 5 minutes up the street to the other DD location. This one is really just ok. 3 stars.

Rude at the drive thru and then didn't put my cream cheese on the bagel - really? You think I want to pull over and spread this myself?

In terms of dunkin doughnuts this one is okay, they often need restocking and their employment is pretty mediocre in terms of drive throughs

Let me tell you about Chloe, the wonderful woman standing behind the counter. Chloe greeted me warmly and genuinely asked how I was doing. I came in on a Sunday morning for a coffee and to get some work done. I ordered a hot decaf hazelnut coffee. Which Chloe politely informed wouldn't be possible because the brewed decaf hazelnut was ICED, not hot. And the hot decaf coffee had no flavor - no hazelnut. and As soon as Chloe saw me trying which option to choose, she came up with a solution. She gave me half iced hazelnut, and half hot regular decaf. THE PERFECT SOLUTION! She went above and beyond, and did it without thinking twice. Chloe and Leah smiled at everyone who came in that morning, and deserve recognition for how amazing they both are. Keep up the good work, CKD!

This place happened to be exactly in the middle between where my friend and I live, so we decided to meet here for lunch. The street corn flatbread was tasty and cheesy, and my friend's fried chicken sandwich was also good. Service was friendly if a bit slow. After lunch, we went apple picking which was I think $34 for a peck which is pretty standard nowadays. They had macoun, macintosh, cortland, and some other varieties, but I prefer my macs. The apple orchard is very small compared to other places I've been, but served its purpose. Would have been nice to have a couple ladders in the orchard for easier access to apples on top. Would have also been nice if the bathrooms were not portapotties--my friend and I chose to hold it lol. They also have a pen with chickens, ducks, and goats that look fairly happy and well cared for. We came on a weekday so it was not crowded at all, but I would imagine it gets packed on weekends.

LOL If they do mess up, I promise you, you will get no apology at all, just snippy people returning your money and acting like it was all your fault. It was bizarre....and it happened both times I visited. I get that the owner thinks his choices of products and ingredients is so superior ( if you read through the comments on this place, he has chimed in several times on bad reviews with a hilarious sales pitch, which does little to change anyone's mind when they don't like the food or service, but I'm sure it makes him feel better---turn lemons into lemon aid, am I right ? Ha ha ha ) Anyhow, I did manage to get the overpriced chicken salad tub that they sell the first time I went (I picked it up myself from the cooler, so they couldn't forget to get it for me, LOL) and I have to tell you...the amount of tarragon in it would curl your hair. They aren't into subtlety, are these people? Totally inedible. Don't bother. There is a Brother's Market up the street that has great lunch and breakfast options.

They have multiple little green houses / tents, some of which you can rent out for events. Their apple cider was really good; it wasn't too thick, it was perfectly sweet, refreshing, and tasted like fresh apples. The apple cider donuts were the best I have ever had (they were freshly made, so that might've played a part). Some of the characteristics I loved about the donuts is that they were moist, the sugar on it wasn't overwhelming, and a great size. They also have some animals, mostly chickens. Some of them were roaming around outside their coop but most of them were living their best lives in their coop. As a lover of chickens, these seemed well fed and well taken care of which made me happy. You can walk around to get to the different types of apples, but they also did have a hay ride to bring you to a more central location. They have a good variety of apples, and for an additional cost, you can also pick peaches, pears, nectarines, and maybe some other fruits. I filled my 1/4 peck bag with about 8 apples, the bag was about 6 in x 8 in x 4 in. The apples were delicious, very few had pests which were noticeable at the time of picking, but most of them were good. I didn't get a chance to go in but I did peek my head into their store, which they do sell apples, apple products, and other goods. One thing I noticed that has improved is their parking. They had more space, but also someone directing traffic to parking spots. I would recommend this spot for anyone looking for a good fall activity.

Located in the large Patriots Place complex, full of shopping and many restaurants, it can be a bit of a walk from the parking area. The exterior and interior are just as we remember. A hostess greeted us at the door and sat us immediately with menus. Menu is the same as last visit. Lots of Asian and Mexican influened dishes along with pizza. Menus are a hard cover, book style and the pages are showing their age. We got two half sheet pizzas. Each can easily feed four people. The mozzerella on the Margarita was rubbery this time around. That may happen because of hot 'pizza oven' temps or it could just be low quality. I reheated some left overs on low heat and the cheese did melt OK and had less of a rubbery texture. The crust is thick and crisp on the bottom. The tomato sauce is sweet. The second pizza was a buffalo chicken. It was plenty spicy, lots of cheese, nice drizzle. Not much chicken. All in all it was a tasty pizza. Restrooms are clean. Service good. Plenty of shared parking.
