a display of donuts in a bakery

I'm so sick and tired of poor customer service. I go here because it's near my home. Well, I am done! Every time I go here, it's the same consistent bad service. I walked up to the counter to see three people just standing there. No greeting, no acknowledgement...you can literally wait five minutes before you see them looking at each other figuring out whose going to take the order. Well, let me help you out, I'm not coming back here again. I'm not spending money on these places that fail at providing stellar service. I always get a cup of coffee with it spilling on the side and stickiness. You can have it! I'll go somewhere else to be treated like I'm human!

Clearly 2 SESAME bagels were ordered.

I've always gone here. They make the best cappuccino blasts but the bagels are seriously a joke. Come on now.

    Does that say Americano?

This is the worst Dunkin Donuts in Brick, the one on lanes mill road is a very close second. I've been here several times (it's close) but nothing here is worth it. Nothing. They DO NOT know what an Americano is... yet it's on their menu and it is a coffee place. I've had to explain to 3 employees at different times it's hot water and espresso. No joke. Things get even more complicated when you ask them to add milk or sugar. "Oh so you really want a latte?" .... NO. I just want you to add milk and sugar like you would to a regular coffee! Seriously! My dad's a big fan of the coconut coffee so I'll swing in and bring him one on the weekends. This is the second time I've asked for a small, charged me for a medium, and act all confused when I tell them it's not what I ordered. If you like Dunkin donuts coffee and you are in Brick, go to the one on route 88. Absolutely zero confusion on what an Americano is. Friendly service. Those guys rock. The worker even loaned me a pen so I could cross out home of the new York Yankees on my cup..... (Philly fan here ! ) So, back to this DD, ditch this place. Seriously. Wawa down the street knows more about coffee then they do.

Not good anymore. Wait is long and they always mess up my order. The one on airport road is better and faster.

Leashed and friendly dogs are welcome inside as well as at the outdoor tables, making it an easy stop for you and your pup. We loved spotting a couple of other dogs soaking up the outing with their families, always a good sign you have found a gem. They also have a location in Manalapan, so you have got options when the craving hits.

They had a special matcha for a limited time called the Applejacks matcha, so I ordered that. I had them take off the white chocolate and do oat milk because I'm vegan. I absolutely loved it. It was so delicious and flavorful, and it was the best flavored matcha I had had in a long time. I do love regular, traditional matcha with no flavoring, so I'm not talking about that. I'm just talking about a flavored matcha that was so good. After a couple of weeks, I went to the Manalapan location and had the same matcha. While it was not as good as the Brick one, I didn't really hold that against them. Then a couple of weeks later, I went back to the Brick location and they told me they didn't have matcha because they ran out. They said their customers who really love matcha were not happy about it either, and that they didn't know when they were going to get it back in. That's why I took away one star. They are a business and should make an effort to always have matcha available. Matcha not being available one day is one thing, but not having it and not knowing when it's coming back is another thing. I just don't think that's acceptable. Besides that, this place is really good. Their drinks seem really creative. I've mostly only had the matcha because I love matcha. It also seems like a really nice place to sit and study, and it always seems clean. The day they didn't have the matcha, I got a chai tea instead and it wasn't that great, so I know not to get the chai again. Overall, I do like California Cold Co. a lot and I hope the whole matcha thing doesn't happen again. It seems like a really good, solid place.

Along Route 9 in Lakewood Township, you will find a cozy cafe. I have been wanting to come there…read moreever since discovering it on Yelp. Brand: 5/5 From the sign to the wooden logo to the solid font, Kava Coffee House maintains a cozy aesthetic as a cafe in Lakewood. It is formally certified as a kosher eatery by the Kashrus Council of Lakewood, NJ. You will also find the wood theme plays out in the interior as well, with wooden panels and the wooden signs. Website: 5/5 The opening page offers you a glimpse into the classy design, from the images to the cool color scheme to the overall theme. I did like the interactive pages of the online menu. Kava powers the website through Order2, which has an advanced online ordering system. It also takes you to the basic description of the business, which discusses the cozy atmosphere and the extensive food selection. Wait Time: 5/5 I experienced no issues or delays with my order. Indeed, the establishment uses the name basis when announcing the order. Ambiance: 4/5 I did like the smooth jazz playing over the radio and the authentic fireplace at the center of the establishment, warming it during the winter. The wood panels on the floors and the walls evoke the cozy vibe of a cafe. Around noon, the establishment can get noisy and cluttered, though it did not prove cumbersome compared to the rickety table. I did not have any issue with the seats nor the space within the medium-sized dining area. Drink: 5/5 I ordered the Kava Supreme Frappuccino, which is their signature frappuccino, consisting of cookies & cream, caramel, peanut butter, blended with coffee, and ice cream, topped with whip cream, drizzle, and cookie crumble. It definitely has a sweet taste, but it did not overwhelm me, despite having so many ingredients. The caramel and the coffee did give it the spicy aftertaste. The ice cream did give it a smooth texture without making the frappuccino tedious to drink. Service: 5/5 I did not experience any issue with the staff. They did have patience with me when I blanked out on my order and had to return to the menu to remember what I wanted. Worth The Money?: 3/5 The Kava Supreme Frappuccino encapsulated the brand succinctly within a signature drink. The way the website uses interactive pages manages to introduce anyone to the menu items, including a section dedicated to their specialty dishes, in such a way unique to the establishment. The wait time it took to make the Kava Supreme Frappuccino matched the quality, and it did not feel tedious with nothing about the ambiance interfering my experience. The staff put a lot of effort into their dishes, and the specialty drinks are no exception. Based on my first impressions, I will say that Kava Coffee House managed to get me in a good mood with its fireplace and the smooth music. That good mood stayed with me throughout the time I enjoyed the Kava Supreme Frappuccino. The website reflects the ambiance of the business with its overall design. While the staff cooking in the background can be tedious if you sit too close to the kitchen, the noise did not burden me. Would I say that the price was worth it? I will say that I would have gotten a drink like the Kava Supreme Frappuccino to cost the same regardless of the cafe, however the other menu items did prove beyond my personal budget. Considering the maintenance of the website design and the fireplace, I will say that the ambiance and website do justify the high prices, but only a little. Rating: 5/5 Stars Between four or five stars, I ultimately chose five stars, because the experience going to Kava Coffee House made their signature drink worth it. Its taste stayed with me throughout the day. A lot of care has been put on Kava Coffee House and I have hope that it will continue to serve Lakewood Township. Recommend To... And when we walked in we weren't sure if the door we walked in through was for customers to use to walk in. I noticed there were wall outlets so you can charge your laptop or cellphone. I love this fact that they had outlets readily accessible to the coffee shop patrons.10/10 coffee shop recommendation.

I ordered the Mom Burger, which is a Swiss burger topped with mushrooms on a brioche bun. It also came with a good portion of fries and a side of pickles. The burger itself was pretty solid -- good flavor and a satisfying size. At $16, the portion felt fair considering the amount of fries you get with it. One thing I noticed was an additional charge for sauces. I asked about it, and they explained that all their sauces are made in-house, which is why they charge $1 per sauce. Honestly, that makes sense when they're homemade. Now the star of the show for me was actually the drink. After looking over the menu a bit more, I decided to try the LA Metro coffee drink with almond milk. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but for $5.99, I have to say it was really good. Definitely something I'd order again. I also want to mention the customer service. The girl working at the counter was extremely nice -- probably some of the best customer service I've had in a while. She didn't rush anything, answered my questions, and was very professional and friendly. I asked about the specials, the cakes they offer, and even whether they were doing a St. Patrick's Day platter, which they are. Overall, it was a really good experience. Good food, great drink, and excellent customer service. I'd definitely recommend stopping by Taylor Sam's if you're in the area.
