a muffin and a cup of coffee

Awful... The interior was dirty, and there wasn't a single booth that had been cleaned or wiped down. Good thing I had brought some alcohol wipes. I wish I had taken more pictures. Cleanliness seems to have a zero-priority at this location. I ordered a coffee and 'coffee cake' muffin. Blueberry was my only other choice. The coffee was weird. Dunkin' Donuts coffee has always had a distinctive, pleasant taste. Here, I had no idea what I was drinking. It didn't taste like what I'm used to. And the muffin had a staleness to it. Service was mediocre. The drive-in window had priority. I had to stand at the counter for nearly 5 minutes. Once I was finally served, the girl at the counter was only as nice as she had to be. People were stacking up behind me. For at least 10 minutes of the time I was there - maybe 25 minutes total - someone who appeared to be the manager stood near the door offering apologies to a woman who had come in to complain. I didn't listen to the details, but given my experience and reading the other reviews for this place, I'm guessing her complaints were quite legitimate. This place is a greasy dump. I'll never go back. Management needs a good kick in the rear.

It is ok, best for drive through. The inside is not very warm or inviting. Coffee is good and much cheaper versus the S.

So I've been told get here early or don't even bother and that's exactly what we did and I must say these are definitely some of the best donuts in the state as they are hot fresh and just classic but definitely with their own unique style. So the blueberry cake donut was definitely my favorite as it was super flavorful with blueberry donut goodness as well as a yummy icing on top to set the vibe to the donut goodness one could totally get again and again! The jelly donut was awesome like it's up there with one of the best ones I've ever had as the flavors were totally there and just a perfect doughnut from start to finish. So we are suckers for apple fritters and we totally had to get one to try and I must say while it was good it wasn't my favorite as these I'm very picky with as I love them flat and really crispy and not everyone does them this way so I can't knock them for their own style and besides it was definitely good for what it was just not the go to one for me! There straight up is only a window in the door a true hole in the wall where you pick what you want from the window with a nice lady helping us she was very quick to get the line down! If you plan on using a card to pay they to charge you a fee so just plan accordingly or bring cash to avoid it! Overall if you live in the area you should totally come here if your traveling takes you through Ocala you should come here and if your just looking for good donuts yes you should come here so get the grease sponge recipe ready for whoever comes next!

I was told that Tas-T-O's donuts was a must and they weren't wrong. This is an old-school donut joint doing it retro-style which is the best way! I made sure to be there right after opening at Saturday 6:15am and there were already cars pulling up. I was told get there super early or be shut out. I can see why, as these donuts are the real deal! Made fresh overnight and put on display shelves in the front window. You order from the front door window and also point to the ones you want and how many. I got a box of a dozen and it was less than $20, a variety of donuts, apple fritters, and glazed bow ties. Along with a tasty large cup of coffee for around $3. All I'll say is "WOW"!!!! The donuts are delicious, soft, moist, fluffy, and so fresh tasting. No wonder they sell out fast, as most days they are open 5 or 6am until noon, and many times they close early once they sell out. Closed on Monday and Tuesday. You can see the kitchen in full view with all it's equipment and racks through the windows. Oh, and the service is terrific. The girl working this overnight to morning shift making the donuts was very kind and nice to chat with. Even though she had to be tired she was cheerful with a smile as we discussed the business and answered my questions about the business and area. Fantastic donuts, variety, price, and customer service. So glad I made it over to this donut heaven.

A friend of mine told me about this place a while back, but I never thought it would really be…read moreworth a hour and a half drive just for donuts. I thought, "it's a food truck... I'll just wait for them to come to me." Well... I finally caved and got tired of waiting. First off, I'm not a morning person... so the whole "donuts and coffee" at 8am isn't my thing. I was not too thrilled about having to wake up at 6am just to be able to get to try the flavors I wanted before they were all sold out. (FYI: You can order ahead online, but that option can sell out fast too) Also, I'll take a bad yeast donut over a good cake donut any day. Those extravagant Voodoo doughnuts over at Universal are no match for a plain old Krispy Kreme donut straight off the conveyer belt in my humble opinion. This food truck is all cake donuts, so I was a bit skeptical. I'm happy to say, these donuts are insanely good. There were 22 flavors available, and we ordered them all. The most popular, "frosted crack" and "maple bacon", were definitely 2 of my favorites. Simple flavors, yet so delicious. The "French Toast" and the "Cookie Butter" were also high up on my list of must-tries. Even something as conventional as the "chocolate with sprinkles" was friggin amazing. I'm pretty sure it all had to do with the fact that none of these felt like the typical cake donut you would find at Dunkin Donuts. They were way more light and airy than usual. It was almost a mix between a yeast donut and a cake donut, and they were tremendous. It also might have to do with the fact that they were all just freshly made. That also makes a huge difference. What I like about this place is that they don't go overboard with toppings. They just let the flavors do the talking. They don't just throw crushed-up snickers bars, skittles, and whole Oreos on top for the hell of it. They keep it more traditional, and I like that. Makes them way easier to eat as well. The people in the truck themselves are very friendly. The guy that helped us seemed really proud of his product, as he should be. They even have complimentary Starbucks coffee for people as they waited. With a long line at 8 in the morning, it was very much appreciated. Overall, this small and unassuming food truck in the middle of a dirt lot in Mt. Dora ended up having some of the best donuts I've ever tried. Tons of flavors, yet a simplistic theme runs through all of them... flavor. Every bite feels like it's worth the carbs, and I love that. They look great, and taste even better. My only negative about this place is that it's not closer... but that's just me being selfish.

I loved the one with cinnamon sugar and the kids loved the sprinkle and fruity pebbles ones. My husband said service was great also. We will be back. I really want to try the red velvet cake one in the future.

They strive…read moreto satisfy every human's desire for 'sweet and bready' minus the high glycemic flours and sugar. Not feeling deprived keeps you committed to a life of good health. We can get on board with that, especially during times of quarantine creating such anxiety in most of us! The Crave Bakehouse family is passionate about creating authenticity in flavor and texture to truly satisfied you with each bite instead of searching for the next treat. All of their products are prepared with the best intentions and ingredients that let you indulge without slowing you down. The donuts are made with organic coconut flour, organic coconut oil, eggs, and a high grade stevia/erythritol blend for sweetening. The first item I tried was their Cinnamon Sugar and it reminds me of a healthy version of a cinnamon Auntie Anne's pretzel when I was younger. My mom always ordered the cinnamon sugar pretzels. With that being said, it was definitely my mom's favorite donut when she tried these. I'm surprised she only ate half the first sitting, but that's because she's saving the other half for the next morning to eat with her coffee. Their Lemon Poppy Crumble is quite refreshing with each bite. It has 3 net carbs, yet no added sugars. This is so refreshing and quenched my cravings for a zesty lemonade. This Double Chocolate Chip is thus far my favorite! I popped this bad boy into the microwave and heated it up for 10 seconds for a warm, chocolatey hug. I wish I had an unlimited supply of this donut popping out of the oven like cookies popped out of Santa's sled in the Santa Clause 2 movie. And with a mug of hot chocolate or milk in general. For the Maca Pecan donut, they use Maca powder to add delectable flavors to the donut and has many health benefits, which you can google for more information. It creates a sweet and nutty taste with notes of butterscotch. I wish I could've tried it, but my dad inhaled this faster than I could say Maca Pecan. The Piña Colada is unique in every way from scent to taste. I'd recommend having one with a piña colada drink. With the quarantine, what's stopping you from having it and the drink any time of the day or any day of the week? This is the Limade with a green stripe made by spinach powder. This is another zesty donut on their menu. This instance, it's like having a margarita in donut form... Without the salt and tequila. I guess that's still ok because the donut is still delicious without any tequila. These items aren't the only items on the menu. Crave Bakehouse also offers savory items on their menu. I can't wait to try their savory items.
