I work during their open hours so I had to make sure I'd get a slot since I'd be leaving work early. I called once but no answer- just a message instructing them to email them. From what I had heard about them is that they are a great, small shop. So I get it that there isnt always someone there to grab the phone. Anyways, I took my car in. One of the gentlemen was on the phone with what sounded like a real piece of work, a total shithead but the guy handled it super professional. Then I hung out in their little waiting cubby hole for a bit- and it was kinda delightful. No one was there so I had the TV to myself. It was like a mini vacation. I have a 2.5 yr old boy so anything that isnt either work or picking up after/dealing with that little psycho is a vacation. Anyways, got a quote. Weird muffler, have to order. I kinda knew this already. I suggested the idea of a different approach. Johnny the tech dug the idea. Actually im not sure, he just seems like he kinda digs everything, super positive guy. Anyways, im going back next week to get the exhaust done and I am looking forward to it. I was also pretty lucky- a couple really nice cars were there getting their exhaust hooked up. One was an older Bronco and it was absolutely epic to hear pulling out of the shop. That little shop has some really good acoustics. Anyways, I think the picture is of the bosses office. Or the employee lounge. Or they run a daycare. Or its where they make shitheads sit when they get out of line.

The amount of knowledge and experience they have with these cars is unbelievable. I had my upper & lower ball joints replaced, tie rods, balance and a bushing kit installed and did not expect the free full inspection they did on my car. That alone is worth the price I paid to get my parts installed. It was so thorough with pictures and videos showing me things in order of importance of what I should service/repair next which will save me thousands of dollars and many many stressed hours trying to figure out what is wrong in the future and what I am dealing with. My car is driving like it's brand new with 290k miles They looked at things and gave me valuable information on parts of the car that no mechanic has ever mentioned to me before or have bothered to look at in the inspections they do before working on the Hundo. Ranging from previous Toyota, Lexus, Audi and Porsche technicians. Nick at the front handled everything and earned my trust. He popped my hood before I left my keys and answered my questions without any hesitation and even answered a few questions that 5 other technicians with 15+ years of experience each could not. We had stripped the interior to clean carpet and I failed to disconnect the battery prior to disconnecting the SRS switches on the seats. So if course this caused the SRS light to trip and the air bag system to stop working. Not a big deal as far as resetting the light and the system BUT, the software and hardware is prohibitively expensive. Went to a dealer; no complaints, but they would charge a minimum shop rate to reset the light about $50 to $100. I get it. Its a business. But at ATS, Jeremy, manager? Owner? doesn't charge. Nor does he ever make me feel stupid for the eff ups I do!! Lol. So thank you Jeremy and thank you to the professional and competent mechanic who reset the light. You guys will continue to be one of only two shops I go to or refer others to!

It's old car though so not much power in acceleration anymore but it works. He didn't replace the whole transmission just cleaned out and repaired transmission that takes skill. Thank you! Don't go to Village Transmission they couldn't even fix my transmission they just repaired my radiator thinking that, that's all it was.

Got a complete transmission rebuild with a 1-year warranty. It took a little over 4 weeks to get the truck back. On the test drive with manager Christian, the truck slammed into gear while shifting. He called it a "Bump Shift" and I disagreed with him. He said it was the shift kit he put in it, and he would take it out and put in the factory version. I never asked for a shift kit, so I don't know why they even put one in it. I also had leaking filter, reverse gear slippage and missing Bell Housing dust cover plate. After 3 additional attempts to get it right, my truck is still messed up. Even with a warranty they told me to take it somewhere else, and they would pay for it! What kind of business does that? Terrible attitudes, terrible customer service and a complete lack of respect for their customers. They are more than happy to take your money, but you better watch out if you have a problem. They are also not BBB accredited if that's important to you. I've found 3 other people that have had problems here. How this place has a 4.7 star rating cannot be possible. I did notice a review from a year ago that stated: "It's my dad's shop, he works so hard even on the weekends, he day and night" I guess you can make up your own mind if you think all the reviews are legit. The Manager Christian and Owner Emil should be ashamed of themselves and their complete failure to fix my truck. I feel sorry for anyone that dares to take their vehicle to them. I do want to thank Jamie at the front desk though. She was always nice to me and tried her best to help me. Thanks Jamie, good luck! They did give me 10% back for my troubles BTW, but that's not anywhere near good enough to resolve this.

We brought two of our cars here…read more People are friendly but the service was not up to par. They inspected our truck and failed to tell us our car was not drivable. We had our wheel bearings looked at and they said the should be replaced soon but not that our car was not drivable. So we took our car home to plan on when we could be without the car and bring it back. Well THREE days later, our wheel FLEW off while we were on the freeway almost causing a catastrophic car accident. We had to pay over 3,000 to fix it and towing fees. We called to complain about not be advisied that this was not drive able and that we shouldn't have drove off the lot but they said "well do what you gotta do". We also during this same time had our other vehicle under their "inspection" and "care" to replace a clutch on a manual. The replaced the clutch but it caused other issues with our motor mount. We took it to another shop after two attempts of having them "check their work" and this other shop advised us to never go back here. We have ANOTHER loose wheel bearing (which wasn't an issue before and were brand new) and issued with motor mount from the clutch install from this place They refuse to acknowledge they had any part in this and are adamant that BOTH cars were "fine" Take a look at our truck after NOT being told our truck wasn't drivable. My whole family was in the car and they are LUCKY no one was significantly harmed

I went to Les Schwab because they'd replaced my tires recently. The sweet young guy (LS does not require much experience) sent me over to FS Autoworks who he felt could better diagnose. These older trucks are quirky! The owner, Jeremy, took the time to figure out what was actually going on--with some crazy old school electrical trick-- stayed with it right up until closing, and got me safely back on the road that day. What I appreciated most was the communication. He explained the issues clearly, helped me prioritize what needed to be addressed, and was mindful of cost constraints without ever compromising safety. As someone going through a divorce and trying to keep an old truck, a cabin renovation, and life in general moving forward, that meant a lot. I really felt so taken care of and trusted every recommendation. If you have a Diesel Truck, or any truck, FS Autoworks is the place to go. It's hard to find people who are both knowledgeable and honest. Jeremy was both. Will never take my truck anywhere else again and I have a feeling these guys will keep it running in the 300-500k mileage range these trucks are capable of! Highly recommend!
