We stopped at the 7-11 which was right next-door to Harborside Inn, the hotel we were staying at and we noticed everyone who walked by us had a Dunkin' Donuts coffee. They were just one block up and when we walked in, they were not busy at all. We wanted something more substantial than donuts and we both got a breakfast sandwich, it would've been cheaper to get the meal deal first $6 which included a coffee, hashbrowns and a sandwich but we already had a coffee so just did sandwiches. I got the English muffin with turkey sausage, egg, and cheese and my husband got the sourdough sandwich. The sandwiches were very very dry and not really good at all. I guess their coffee and coffee drinks are amazing because that's what everyone had when they walked out. We paid over $14 for the two sandwiches. The restaurant was small but very clean. read more

Genuinely the worst Dunkin I've ever been to. 30 minutes for a simple order and when I brought it up to the staff they were extremely rude. Some of the food was cold and the other stuff was burnt from sitting under the heater. Not to mention the staff put their hands all over the food. This is a fine location if you're getting your sugar and caffeine fix, not so much if you're looking to hang out with your laptop for a while. Service has been consistent and speedy. I like this Dunks location. I always order something with an exception, like no cheese, or substitute whole grain bagel for that white muffin. They always get it right at this location. Usually something comes wrong! Also, I love the counter height seating against the windows that overlook State Street. Boston's own, Dunkie (or Dunkin' Donuts) is a must-see in Boston! America runs on Dunkin! You gotta see a DD while you're in Boston, and this is a good one to see! This one is right in the middle of the Financial District. It's small, but clean and nice. There's a good variety of donuts to choose from- they had at least a dozen different flavors to choose from when I went. It didn't seem that the donuts were made on site, since this place is rather small, but I could be wrong on that. They have a good coffee- their coffee has been emulated across the country- this is the original thing! The donuts were sweet, and fat, and fresh. They accommodated the requests for multiple cream in the tea, and no room taken out for the creamer! read more

Yes,they had a Bostonion! Basically a chocolate covered doughnut filled with a custard filling. We had such a tasty doughnut we made 2 visits within the same day! Only thing hubby grabbed was a plain doughnut as they don't carry or didn't have any sugar doughnuts. We must had passed a dozen Dunkin Donuts within 2 mile radius. Two coffees,2 doughnuts $8. Not you won't get that deal at Starbucks. Funny thing is,at the North End ~lil Italy, they actually have No Starbucks signage in storefront windows. I love Dunkin Donuts! Maybe because it reminds me of my first time in London and the treat I've never forgot. In the USA you find Dunkin Donuts almost everywhere, especially in NY, Washington or other cities in the east like Boston. This store in Boston is a classic one but in the middle of the center and perfect for tourists who want to have a quick bite. I don't know a place where you can buy better donuts and with better assortment, so I can really recommend this place to you! If you are not interested in donuts you can also buy something salty as the delicious bagels of Dunkin Donuts. Alrighty, Bostonians, What is the deal with Dunkin' Donuts? I mean, really? Growing up in Los Angeles, I remember them being vaguely popular on the West Coast as a child, but by the time I was in junior high, there were only two or three left in the entire city. Same by the time I got down to San Diego. Yet, I see them EVERYWHERE in Boston. Damn. And Rachel Ray's preternaturally smiling face, like a beacon of mass consumerism and terror grinning and telling me to order some gingerbread concoction. Yikes. I know Starbucks is the model of oversaturation of markets, but when I can SEE a Dunkin Donuts from INSIDE another DD....damn. The weirdest thing for me, is that stepping into a DD feels like going back in time to about 1988 when they were available on the West Coast, only to realize that now I'm a grown-up (?) and it's freezing outside. Thanks for keeping me warm, DD, when I was cold and confused outside Faneuil Hall.
