    Coffee & Donuts
    Paul D.

November 2023: I wish a Dunkin' location was closer to my home because I really enjoyed their coffee. I was at Belterra Village and decided to mobile order a medium coffee and a few donuts. It was pretty quick service where I just ordered in my car, walked inside, and then picked it up. The staff was nice and friendly and the store was very clean. The coffee had great aroma, very smooth and not bitter in taste. The cup was thick and could not feel the heat of the coffee. The three donuts I had were Glazed Donut, Double Chocolate, and Bavarian Kreme. They were all soft with great flavor.

I've never been to a consistently worse Dunkin Donuts before. I keep giving them another chance since there aren't many fast options in the area but every time I think their sandwiches can't get worse, they do. I ordered a sweet pepper bacon croissant sandwich. The cheese was cold and unmelted. The croissant was dry as hell. Not flaky or buttery in any way. The bacon was the worst. Tasted like someone seasoned an ash tray with black pepper. No sweetness detected. Everything else was fine but their sandwiches are extremely sub par. I forced myself through half of my sandwich today out of hunger and necessity but I couldn't stomach the rest. It was revolting.

This is what they gave me. 4.50 drink and it's not even full.

This is by far the worst dunkin. Save your money and time and go to the summer moon down the road or Starbucks. They don't greet people whether drive thru or inside the store. I put in a mobile order, walked inside, stood at the front, and even asked for help in which I told to wait. The staff then proceeded to ask the person behind me what they needed without any consideration for me standing there. Not to mention they can't make coffee and everything is watered down. Below is the ridiculousness they have me today. I won't go back.

A bit late to the Endeavor Belterra Village reveal party. In fact, locals had heard that multiple businesses had backed out due to placement issues. Well, DD finally opened with a Baskin- Robins in tow. Anticipation of real worldly chain spots with in reason had us about 1/4 giddy. Truthfully, I didn't try much on my initial visit. I recalled memories of my dad and I heading towards our favorite fishing hole on the Colorado River. That made the old Ben White location our goto spot. Building is still there; thinks it's a Mexican place now. Ordered some chocolate donut holes that used to fill my 8 year old soul with joy. Today's order didn't seem that flavorful; could be that 30 year habit of Marlboro Reds. Wished they had whole milk as an option as well. I've got a Rooster I'm still growing on my ranch. I'm going back folks; to rediscover my youth complete with some ice cream too! Drippin' Donuts is the fave for those who travel west of Austin; try them if your headed to Fredericksburg or other Hill Country destinations.

Bacon egg and cheese on crescent, burnt to a crisp and the drinks were wrong. This place is getting worse every day

Ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant, and received on a horribly burnt English muffin, and both coffees were wrong this place has the worse service. And I was in line 43 minutes

Supposed to be an iced coffee w a splash of milk, not half milk w extra sugar.

I ordered an ice coffee w a splash of milk. It looks like milk and is so sugary it's making me sick. I asked the girl at the window why it looked like this and she said "I didn't make it I'm not sure. If you asked for it, that's what this is, I'm sorry" . She didn't ask if I wanted something else and didn't ask the person making drinks she turned away and started talking to the person on the headset. Where's the ownership on the product you're putting out? Terrible service.

Service is spotty but not worse than most fast food places. Store is clean and food is good.

Gordough's is one of those places that fully commits to indulgence. I was able to place my order online and schedule for pick up. The order was ready when I arrived. Parking was a bit challenging and the lot was full and they charge for parking. Service was quick, casual, just good energy and fast turnaround. I ordered my tried and true Miss Shortcake with their famous cake donut with cream cheese icing and fresh cut strawberries. The donut is so indulgent and was served warm with the most delectable flavor combinations. Tried the Son of a Peach with cream cheese icing, spiced peach filling, cake mix topping, cinnamon and sugar with honey butter. This one was a bit too overindulgent and sweet for my liking but was definitely worth a try. Portions are huge and can be shared as the donut is not as good warmed over. If you're in the mood for dessert and not think about calorie count, then this is the place.

Why am I going to one in Austin? Wrll, it's because I am a completeist and I try to go to as many Voodoo Doughnut locations as I can. Austin has two locations but Steve was only willing to tolerate going to one location so we went here. The doughnuts are going to be about the same as any other location however I did come across one that I haven't seen before. I am not sure if it was limited edition or what but I liked it. It was kind of take on a Black Forest Cake but it wasn't cherries that were on top of the doughnut and cream. It was more like blueberries. It was good and I am glad I tried it! I was really hoping to see the Ring of Fire Doughnut as it's my favorite but I didn't see it here. I got more of a powdered doughnut too as I do like their more basic doughnuts too. Steve got something that almost was like a Dubai-esque Chocolate Doughnut. It had pistachios on it and was a chocolate cake. That one was good too! Atmosphere is weird and quirky like all of their locations try to be which I can appreciate. So if you are addicted to Voodoo Doughnuts or have been wanting to try them but don't plan any PNW trips then definitely swing by the Texas locations. More and more locations are popping up all of the time!

The Glazed Yeast (The Prime Donut)......... if a donut maker can't do glazed, you might as well forget about the rest. Fantastic. Perfect. The glaze that flakes though moist and a donut that slightly squishes, pops slightly back and has that perfect texture....... And yes Flavor! Perfect Glazed. Well done. A good size and not a weak donut. I did a fancy chocolate cake donut of the Butterfinger kind. A fantastic blend of a good chocolate cake and the touch of peanut from the crisp. A good combo of about 50/50 share of flavor. Focusing on the cake donut resulted in a favorable chocolate cake donut. Freshness is key. Lastly was a buttermilk bar. Good, just good. I know where to get great. You'll have to read my other donut posts to find out where. Just good. Glaze could improve and the complete cool through would be helpful. The dough was alright, not bad. Good ingredients and a nice flavor. On a level of poor, fair, good to great........ Good.

I was craving Ube and might have gone a bit overboard on ordering dessert because they had so many Ube options. The building is colorful and decorated in bright pink with fun artwork and decor for an uplifting vibe. The line moved quickly and the service was friendly fast and efficient. I was able to place my order and pay with Apple Pay. I ordered the Taiyaki Sundae with black sesame and ube swirl soft serve served in a fish shaped mochi Belgian style waffle with Oreo dust on top. You can customize your sundae with filling like organic red sweet beans, Nutella or custard and toppings like Oreo dust, fruity pebbles or rainbow sprinkles. I ate this on site and the nutty black sesame balanced the sweet ube perfectly, and the Oreo topping added the best crunch. They had a variety of mochi donut flavors. Lucky for me, nothing was sold out today. I ordered the Oreo ube mochi donut and ube milk tea to-go. I ate the mochi donut later that day and it was probably my least favorite item from my order. It had the chewy mochi texture however I didn't get enough of the rich ube flavor. It had somewhat of a bitter aftertaste and the Oreo overpowered the ube. I drank the ube milk tea the next day and it was creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. I really enjoyed the flavor profile of the beverage and would order it again. Overall, enjoyed my selections and will be back to try more dessert options and flavors from one of the most unique Asian dessert spots in Austin!

We were on Rainey street for SXSW and I had seen several people with the pink bag with a dog stamped on the front and wanted to see what all the hype was about. We came across the pink trailer with the dog logo and decided to give it a try. Service was quick and friendly, I was able to place my order and they accepted Apple Pay. Everything was made fresh to order, so there's a bit of a wait, but it's worth it when you get them hot. I tried the Italian cream cake donuts. They have specialty flavors that were $1 more and all of them were appealing to me. Unfortunately, you can not order a sampler pack of different flavors and have to just pick one flavor which is why I am giving 4 stars. My recommendation would be to offer a sampler pack as to not have to commit to one flavor. The pink dog stamped package came with multiple tiny donuts inside. They were freshly made, soft, and served warm. My friend ordered the regular donuts and I have to say that I didn't notice the Italian cream cake flavor as much as I would have liked compared to the original. There was a good balance of sweetness and a creamy, slightly rich profile without feeling overly heavy. The mini size is perfect because you can try a few without feeling like you've gone overboard and it is great for sharing. Overall, Little Lucy's is a solid dessert stop when you want something warm, fresh and satisfying. I would not recommend paying extra for the specialty flavors like Italian cream cake donuts and will just go with the original donuts in the future.
