Love the refresher drinks. Especially the pineapple mango. A must try. Comes with green tea (and lemonade in the summer)

Well before it's charming renovation, back to when it had leather bar stools at the bakery counter and Jim in the back making the best apple fritters you've ever had. I come whenever I'm in town and it's always good. I think more than anything I come for the nostalgia. The Rice Krispie treats are always a solid pick and I enjoy them a lot. Same with the smiley face cookies, the bakery frosting is the best. I got a parfait for the first time since high school though and was sorely disappointed. They used to use wake robin yogurt (which I do remember them discontinuing some years ago), but now the yogurt is SO sweet. Overall it makes the parfait too sweet with the homemade granola and blueberry coulis. I couldn't help but notice how much smaller the parfait portions are too. They used to be full sized cups and now they're nearly half their former size which was definitely disappointing considering the price has certainly not gone down. In summary, the bakery will always hold a special place in my heart. Been going since I was a baby. The treats are good, sandwiches are solid, and they have a wide variety of beverages. Steer clear of the updated parfait though

A fan of "Alice in Wonderland," she said the story helped her through those hard times. White Rabbit opened in September 2024 in the former Nickel Back Jacks redemption center at 8905 S. Seneca St. in the village. Along with coffee roasted by Bucci-Taylor, the café serves teas by Earthly Emporium in Port Byron and baked items by several local producers, including doughnuts, Danishes and muffins by Camerons Bakery in Auburn and, soon, cinnamon buns by Doughlicious in Auburn. White Rabbit also features candles by Eclectic Hedge in Port Byron, a little free library in coordination with the Weedsport Free Library, and tumblers custom-made by Lake Life Laser Studio in Auburn. A village native, Bucci-Taylor previously worked as a licensed practical nurse at Victory Sports Medicine in Skaneateles. She began roasting her own coffee as a hobby while staying home with her son, and shortly thereafter became stuck there due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Encouraged by her husband, Taih, she researched, bought machines and roasted for herself, and then friends and family. Bucci-Taylor said she tries to use the highest quality coffee beans she can find, such as specialty, fair trade and organic. At White Rabbit, it's available by the cup and by the bag. My wife and I live about 10 minutes from Weedsport, but if you know the area, you know there isn't much out here as far as food/drink go. We stopped into White Rabbit for the first time recently and were impressed with everything. The coffee was good, plenty of flavors and specials to choose from. We got a crossiant donut from Camerons that was delicious. Nicely redecorated inside. Employees were friendly, including Bucci-Taylor herself who was behind the counter slinging drinks. Prices were comparable to other coffee places. Definitely prefer giving my money to fresh roasted, local over the big chains, so we'll definitely be back.

I hate to write a negative review, as this review is solely based on one employees poor attitude who it seems has received negative reviews on other platforms. There are numerous other issues, but it is solely you who caused this review. In the Cafe industry some standards should be set, you have to have good coffee and employees who are kind and respectful to customers. To complain the majority of the time you are working and say no sorry we don't do that to nearly everything that is at a typical cafe is not sufficient to be a barista. If you are asked to use a smaller size cup or for a drink to be not filled to the top, that should not be an issue. Respect goes both ways, and disrespect will not get you anywhere. Here are some things that NEED to change. Espresso is brewed into glass, not the steel canister used for milk. Steaming milk is not a set it and forget it while the steamer vents off into an unattended mixer. Americano's are made with steam, not hot water from the faucet. Fresh breakfast Sandwiches are not ones that sit in a plastic container rotating under a heat light for the entire day. When a customer walks in an empty store, they should not have to wait while you unload a box and restock shelves. To be a barista you need training as there are standards and methods to brew individual drinks. Whoever owns this place needs to learn themselves how to actually be a barista and train the baristas on how to actually make proper espresso, americano, cafe latte, etc. Do NOT advertise fresh made breakfast sandwiches for the garbage you have rotating in plastic containers for eight hours. Step your game up, this place is absolutely pathetic as it is. Soon someone will open a decent coffee spot to sit and drink if standards here are not changed. To the younger women who work here your customer service is excellent. Thank you for being kind and friendly. I've come here a few times in the past few weeks, and after dealing with the rudeness this morning I will not come back.

Great little seating area, but it doesn't stop here! There are plenty of tables/seating, and the whole store is very cozy.

Visiting Shamballa Cafe today really makes me wonder: why do I even bother with chain coffee shops?…read more First and foremost: the coffee is awesome! I went with what was in the vat today: a medium roast that I believe was called blue moon. I forget the provenance of said roast (I remember it was South American), but my oh my was it good! Exactly what you want a medium roast to be: balanced, with notes of whatever chocolate or berries or leather is in there. I couldn't put the cup down! Whereas getting the sludge from the big chains down the gullet sometimes feels like a morning chore. Why is the coffee so good here? It turns out that the owner (a very friendly guy named Emmett) roasts it himself. He had several varieties on offer that were roasted within the last 24 hours, maybe even this morning. That particular minutiae is a blur as I wasn't caffeinated yet when we discussed this. But it's yet another huge benefit a local cafe provides: freshness! Another thing: Shamballa is a great restorer of faith in community and our fellow humans. Emmett and I discussed many things in my fairly brief time in his shop, but I'll never forget the empathy he displayed when discussing some current trials & tribulations. It turns out he's been down the same road, and his well-wishes and kindness made for an even finer accompaniment to the coffee than the coffee cake muffin pairing that was purchased on impulse. A double espresso was consumed on-site while 2 large coffees were taken to go. The espresso was awesome, 100x better than Sbux or Dunkin'. Total for 3 beverages? Less than $8! For later, I grabbed a 1/2 lb. of whole bean Guatemalan medium roast on Emmett's recommendation, and the coffee cake muffin was moist and delicious without being too crumbly or cloyingly saccharine. Drake's it was not! A ten spot covered the latter purchase. If I lived in Baldwinsville, I'd probably stop by here every morning! Except Sunday and Monday when they're closed. Be sure to arrive early, closing time is now noon. Please swing by Shamballa and see for yourself! Perhaps you too will ponder why we make grabbing coffee a chore, when it can be a true morning delight?
