I walked in and Ryan, middle seat, said hey and we got to work on the hair. He talked everything out, he didn't ignore me or do his own thing. He communicated all the way through about what I was looking for and how he planned to get there. Great conversation and when we got to the end, he asked for my opinion and if there was anything I wanted to change. I asked him questions about what I saw and he always said he could do anything I wanted, but why if he did this my hair would look like that. He explained how my hair laid and if he did certain things it could make my hair look goofy on the back or making a change on the side could change how the topped look. He didn't make me feel bad about my questions, he was just honest about what could happen. He gave me a clean cut and my hair looks great compared to how I stepped through the door. I had an issue that I didn't notice until I got home and was hoping they could fix it. I called a few days later and they got me in for the quick fix, and I couldn't be happier. I researched, made a choice, and booked Alejandro on my only day off before a 10 day stretch. Booked well in advance and planned my day around my cut and beard trim. I GUARANTEED a 20 percent tip on a credit card which was odd but I obliged. Two hours before my appointment I get an auto cancellation message. No explanation , just a "you're out of luck" email. Many calls and texts to the phone number here and from booking went unanswered. They don't care about clients evidently. Most unprofessional thing I have ever seen. Steer clear, since I'm still not sure if they are going to charge my card. May need to be reported for fraud, not sure yet.

Now they are a barber shop vs. a salon, so they cater more toward a male clientele, but my husband has always had great cuts there. I love it because he is not a huge drinker, so I can go into the bar area and wait for him while he is in the chair (and have his free drink while I wait!) The ambiance is definitely upscale and leaning into the "masculine" aesthetic, both in the salon side and in the bar. It's all woods and leathers, with dark concrete floors. They offer a subscription service, but you don't have to have that if you want to just come in for a singular cut, and a free drink (cocktail, beer, coffee) is included even if you come in for a single barber visit vs. having a subscription. I definitely recommend Scissors and Scotch as a wife who can sit on the bar wide and enjoy a beer/read a book, while my husband is getting a great cut!

The barber, Glenn, was rude and aggressive from the second I walked through the door. Did not pay attention to the shape of my head, the hair on the sides were cut unevenly, leaving me to look like I had thin bald spots.
