Glen cut my hair. For having as many years of experience as he said he did, I received an amateur haircut. For 35$ before tip you expect a great result. I'm severely disappointed. He was very abrasive with the hand piece and most definitely caused irritation of the skin. My ear and neck taper is uneven and not lined up equally on both sides. After the cut they did not even comb/style me up, and barely cleaned the cut hair off my neck and forehead. I recommend looking for another barbershop because you will leave here unsatisfied. read more

Lost for words. Haircut was extremely uneven and I end up having to go shower when I get home to clog my drain. It's like they don't find the time to comb through and blow dry your hair after spending $40+. They rush you out the door. Not to mention I had to try and fix my haircut when I got home. I showed the boy several photographs of myself with the exact haircut that I desired...SIMPLY...photos were of ME with my previous haircut, "a fade". Tina at Dundee Barber always knocks it out of the park!!! She is consistent, personable and quick! If you are looking for a good fade, this is a great place to start. They are always SUPER busy. Make sure you pre-book online, because this isn't one of those walk in type of places. They also carry Reuzel products, which I like. Been coming here for about 2 years and finally decided to give a review. Normaly i go to Frank or Tina ( they are the absolute best) but one day neither of them was available so i had pete do my hair, when i sat down in the chair he tells me " looked liked you lost weight", i have never seen him before in my life, well he tells me he looked me up on FB cause my name looked familiar.. im sorry but thats a lil weird and definitely not professional!. A great first experience. Came to the shop in the morning and my barber Paul was all ready to go! Cut was done very nicely and pristine. You can tell he's skilled at what he does. We booked an appointment for my grandson here. He is 13, and has not had a haircut since the pandemic began, as his parents were meticulous about mitigating his exposure until he was able to be vaccinated. He was really looking forward to getting his hair cut. Even though the cut was fine (thus the 2 stars), Tina was sadly lacking in the aspect of customer service. The first thing she did was berate him for not combing out his hair (it was hard to comb due to the length and curliness). She maintained a sullen demeanor throughout the appointment, and didn't even bother to brush any of the cut hair from his face and shoulders. We will not be returning, nor would we recommend this shop to any of our friends. read more

Came in today without an appointment and needed a quick buzzcut. This location is the closest barber to downtown Omaha, so that was a plus. The owner was able to squeeze me in between two other customers who had made appointments. Now hear this: FINALLY THE PERFECT HAIRCUT My husband has fabulous hair. It's intact. It's luxuriant. It has a slight, graceful wave. It's dark brown with a thread of silver here and there, if one looks closely. So great, right? No. He has never, ever had a good haircut. It doesn't matter if it is a cut given by a $200 top end stylist, in London, New York, San Francisco, Hong Kong - no matter how much he spent or where in the world he got his hair cut, it's always bad. No matter what he requests, they always butcher him. So who would have thought that in the Dundee neighborhood of Omaha, he would FINALLY GET THE PERFECT HAIRCUT. It's not just my opinion, everyone who has seen him over the past few weeks has remarked on how great his hair looks. Paul did a superb job. So, it looks like my husband will be heading to Omaha every time he needs a haircut. I am not joking. I'm not. I'm really hurt by my experience here. I was not treated as the same amount of respect as the last person was (who was white). I am full blooded Native American. As a new costumer, I was looking for a barber with high reviews and I thought this was the place. I was talked down to like an idiot and I felt discriminated. You think I might be jumping the gun but believe me I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. I will not be returning to this establishment. Paul is a true professional and very knowledgeable about haircutting. I'm in the Air Force and always get my haircut here when I'm in town. He does the perfect low fade. Seems like this shop focuses on quantity and not quality. It felt like the cut was rushed and several spot had been missed (neck/ears/sides). To be honest I was not very impressed for the price. I did get a cut on a sunday approaching closing time so that might have been a factor. read more

Went to Frank a couple of times and he's kinda done his own thing with no regard to what I actually ask; but the final time gave me a medium fade was the last chance I was gonna give him to cut my hair. I went in today with Tina; I showed a picture of what I like my hair to look like but the fade she did isn't even blended. She turns me around for what I expect to be a trim and finally when I turn back to the mirror, at least two inches are gone. I have thick hair and proceeded to explain that when my hairs shorter, and dry, it will stick up. Her immediate response is "where is it sticking up??" With the most attitude as if my hair wasn't drenched in water. She continued to thin my hair out and as she lazily took the apron off, all of my hair fell on top of my pants and shoes. We walk to the check out area and she slammed the card reader on the table as she just ignored me. My experiences here have gotten worse the more I go. Will not return and DEFINITELY wouldn't recommend anyone to this establishment. read more

The first time I came in I didn't have an appointment. Jim was still able to squeeze me in and got me under way pretty quick. Jim is a total professional and all around nice guy. He always cuts my hair exactly how I like it. He has a little log book of all his customers so I don't even need to remind him how I want it cut. He's willing to keep it light and just chat or get into something a little deeper if that's the conversation you're after. He does work by appointment and the weekend fill up pretty quick. Owner/barber Jim is a super friendly and super experienced local barber. He'll tell you about the history of his shop, which has been passed down barber to barber since 1928. He took it over a decade or two ago. It's a small shop, located just north of 50th and Dodge streets. You might notice the decor is a bit outdated, with sun-washed men's hair style posters (which are hilarious) and the previous barber's clown collection -- you heard me right, clown collection. There's even an old "Archie" comic book from the '70s on top of a gum ball machine for the young folks to read while waiting for a trim. Anyway, Jim is professional and fast with his cuts. Expect to get in and out in under 30 minutes with a great haircut to boot. Cost is only $15, cash or check. read more

One of the best haircuts I've ever received. I was working in Omaha for a few months and needed a reliable barber. Based on the solid reviews and modest price, I decided to give this place a shot. A small shop with some surprisingly not-that-creepy clown decorations and an old school chart on popular hairstyles in the 90's, this barber shop is a humble one chair operation. Jim is a really friendly guy and he sure knows how to cut hair! He takes great care while doing the job and also asks if he's cutting it the way you like along the way. For a $15 haircut, I can't imagine getting anything better. Call in for an appointment if you want a cut (it's a common courtesy).
