I debated reviewing because I hate giving bad reviews to small business, but customers must use caution here! Truly the worst haircut I've ever had. Do better. The barber, Glenn, was rude and aggressive from the second I walked through the door. Did not pay attention to the shape of my head, the hair on the sides were cut unevenly, leaving me to look like I had thin bald spots. The top wasn't cut with any reason, leaving random longer pieces in random spots. He wasn't open to any communication about how I usually style my hair. I am traveling for work around the country and I have never seen anyone be so rude while giving me such a bad haircut. read more

Got a head shave and a beard trim...very happy with the results. Tremaine did a hell of a job with my head shave. I've had a beard for years and (sadly) none of the other barbers I went to knew how to shape it the way I wanted to. Tremaine got it right and only had to ask how I wanted it once! Erica is awesome! In addition to being highly skilled, she takes the time to understand what you want from a haircut, clearly has a passion for her work, and is incredibly easy to talk to. I have included a longer review below, but that's the gist. If you are looking for a solid cut in Omaha, book with Erica and thank me later. I had been going to another barber getting a pretty straightforward side part. I prefer to have the part cut in, but I started to notice that each time they did so the part crept further and further up my crown. I pointed this out to the barber and did not have any success in getting it corrected. This turned out to be a wonderful blessing in disguise as it was the catalyst for me giving Victory Barber a try. After doing some research online I thought victory would be a good shop to try. I was able to book online quickly and easily and I recommend the online booking system to any first timers. I made an appointment with Erica, crossed my fingers, and hoped for the best. I walked into the shop and was pleasantly surprised by the cozy feel. There's a very limited number of chairs, making the experience feel more intimate and personalized. Erica asked how I wanted my hair cut and I explained the situation at the prior shop. She immediately recognized the issue of the part being too high, explained how she planned to go about correcting it over the next few cuts, and made sure to get my input/approval before we started. From there we were off to the races. The chair conversation was very fluid and I felt more like I was hanging out with a friend who happened to be awesome at cutting hair than being at a formal appointment. I knew after that first visit I had found the right place. About 2-3 months later we finally got to the finished product and I couldn't be happier. Erica was incredibly friendly and encouraging throughout the process often sharing my frustration with the prior barber. She blew my mind on what is possible with regard to fading and taught me more effective ways to style my hair. I am completely thrilled with the whole experience and will be back frequently! It is not the cheapest cut, but if you take pride in hairstyle it is well worth the price of admission! read more

A great experience on my first visit to Ross's Victory Barber Shop. The place looks great, has the old-school barber shop fell and look. Made a reservation online, but it's not necessary as walk-ins are welcome. I had Lex cut my hair, she took the time to know what I wanted and what see where the trouble spots might be - I have a few - to ensure I received a great cut. After some great conversation and my haircut was over and couldn't be happier. I had to get to Omaha on business, and my barber in LA was unable to get me in. I was staying in the Old Market area, and saw my two options were the Harnam barber, which had horrible reviews, and Ross's barber shop. I walked down the street in front of the shop, and actually walked past it. It's a little hidden, but Ross was inside reading the paper when i arrived. I was able to immediately get service, and i received one of the best haircuts i have gotten in a long while. Dare i say Ross may have done a better job then the guy in LA i go to usually. He was very thorough, including the straight edge finish. I could not be happier. I hope Ross gets some more signage in front of the shop, he definitely deserves the local business! He is not super talkative, but did a great job cutting my hair. I ended up finding a common bond with him, since he is from Sicily and my family is Italian. Owner needs to be more involved. I show up to closed shop. Employee returned 15 minutes late from posted return time. She looked and acted hi on something. She explained she had a half hour gap between customers but that wasn't enough time accommodate a 15 min trim. I will never come back. Stay away from this business. read more

OK, so I finally to find a new place to get my haircut. Previous place - well it seemed they were getting lazy or sloppy cause the last few haircuts I had a moving side part and it never looked like it was blended in. Read multiple reviews of a number of establishments and figured I would entrust this place with a chance to win my business. Erica was the barber and after I explained why I was there she took a look at my hair, asked questions as to what I wanted and what was my final expectation. We agreed on what I wanted and she proceeded to cut away. Had a great conversation over a number of topics and when I was done looking in the mirror and running my hands through my hair agreed it looked very good. Now it has been a few days since the haircut and I can say I will be back to see Erica. The part is where it should be and it looks blended in well. Hair brushes and lays like I expect it to. Had no problem with the price though it is more than what I was paying before but to get a haircut I am happy with - worth the few extra bucks. That is why I give it 5 Stars. read more

Best haircut I have ever had. Lex actually took the time to ask how I wanted my hair to look and did an incredible job. She wasn't in a hurry and made a haircut a nice relaxing break from work. Plus she is very talkative, so no awkward silence while sitting in the chair. Needed a quick haircut while in Omaha for swim trials. The first place was booked, reservations only, for a barber shop. Ross was available but only works 3 days a week right now. He has been there for 40 years. He's 79 now. Did an excellent job. Very good cut. $17. Another local barber actually stopped by just to say hi and he said Ross was the best. I can't argue with that. I was skeptical to stop in this establishment after reading the mixed reviews...and especially after being greeted by the small, older Sicilian gentleman...but had a wonderful experience here. Granted, there's not much to my haircuts...just buzz it short on side & fade a little longer on top. After explaining what I wanted to the barber, he was able to give me exactly what I wanted...actually was one of the best cuts I've ever had.
