I LOVE DUNCANS DOG CARE!!! Working at a dog training facility there are SO many things I have learned. One of the most shocking is about dog daycares. Friends and family, if you have a dog in daycare please listen. Or if you're considering dog daycare. Upon working here I have learned A TON of dogs get behaviors from being at daycare. A lot of their aggression comes from things at daycare. I have talked to SEVERAL people and it is NORMAL for dog daycares to lie and hide things. Dog daycares will isolate your dog all day and not tell you. They will absolutely allow aggressive dogs. And they will NEVER tell you anything unless it results in actual injury. Your dog could be getting in fights daily and they are NOT ALLOWED to tell you. Because the daycare just wants money. Isn't that shocking and disgusting????? You send your literal fur baby off to play all day and they could be sent home with gaping WOUNDS and sometimes these places don't even have answers or will kennel your dog all day and not even tell you!!!! WOW. I'm not just talking about one place. This is NORMAL for most daycares. If you're in the Madison area, I highly recommend Duncan's dog daycare. The woman who owns it is AMAZING and actually built the daycare to change all that. She will NOT allow aggressive dogs or hide anything!!!! She gives the dogs quiet or "nap time" so everyone can have a break. I have a Saint Bernard. He gets tired very quickly. She will let him go nap and not let other dogs keep pestering him BECAUSE THATS WHAT CAUSES BAD BEHAVIORS!! The structure at Duncan's Dog Daycare for your dog is amazing. Everything they do is for a reason and if you don't understand why they do something just ask and I promise they can explain it to you and you will love it. The list goes on!!! Some people might think, why does my dog need a kenneled nap time? I promise it's best for everyone!!! Structure!!!! My dog, Tallulah, has been attending Duncan's Dog Daycare for nearly three years, utilizing a variety of their services including regular daycare, play sessions (both indoor at Duncan's Dog Daycare and outdoor at Fly Dog Park), group training classes, and personalized in-home training. Samantha has been instrumental in helping us address various challenges with Tallulah. She has guided us through overcoming Tallulah's anxiety, safely socializing with other dogs, understanding canine body language, reducing barking at home and in public, improving leash manners, and much more. I especially appreciate Samantha's willingness to discuss any questions we have and collaborate with us to find training solutions that work for everyone. Another aspect of Duncan's Dog Daycare that we truly value is their transparency. We love being able to check in on Tallulah throughout the day using their webcam access. We love Duncan's! Watson goes to Duncan's regularly to get his young, poodle energy out. I can tell that Watson and his pals are well cared for. I chose Duncan's for a variety of reasons. From a facilities standpoint, owner Samantha has thought of it all - joint-safe flooring indoors to gravel outdoors to separate areas based on dog size. She and her staff are observant and make necessary changes for best dog development. As a puppy, they helped curb annoying behaviors in Watson and helped him grow into a more well-mannered pup. As he's grown, they've noticed his energy and gotten to know his personality, and as a 30 pound dog decided to test him safely in the big dog group. This is one example of the care Watson and his pals receive when they're at Duncan's! Samantha and her team also offer enrichment activities for the dogs at times, which is above and beyond - from snuffle mats to games and more. They also use aromatherapy and classical music during nap time - the care and thought put into the Duncan's experience is clear! read more

Duncan's Dog Daycare is like no other. Do my dogs attend, sadly no. I do not live in Madison but we do hold training classes there on Sunday. What makes Duncan's different from other Dog Daycares? The atmosphere is calming. The staff is trained on dog behaviors to watch for. They have smaller groups so the amount of dogs per person is less so they get one on one care. They takes a holistic approach to everything they do. They plan fun and enriching activities and games so the dogs have fun while learning. They work on basic commands with the dogs. The staff is nice and friendly. The Staff all truly care about each and every dog that attends. Samantha (the owner of Duncan's) pours her heart and soul into this and it is clearly evident. I do not trust many with my dogs but I really wish I lived or worked in Madison as all 5 of my dogs would be attending. Well maybe 4 out of 5. Not all dogs are cut out for or enjoy daycare. read more

Our pup has been attending Duncan's 2 days per week for almost a year now and I am still as impressed today as the first day she started. The facility is beautiful and clean with large indoor spaces to play and learn, as well as a large fenced outdoor area for romping. Unlike other daycares that we have used in the past, the supervision of play at Duncan's is top notch. The dogs are challenged mentally every day with games as well as basic training and learning appropriate pack manners. Lunch time is down time giving the pups time to relax enjoying a blend of aroma therapy while they snooze to classical music all cozy on soft, comfy beds. I have a very hyper energetic 7 month old boxer Louie who needs lots of exercise and time outside of the house. Samantha and her team have been EXTREMELY helpful and patient with Louie as he adapts to a new environment as well as being around other dogs. Duncan's Dog Daycare is one of a kind and Samantha and her team are really passionate about their work and get to know your dog on a personal level individually and gives feedback around your dog's day after every visit. Louie loves his time there and comes home extra tired! I HIGHLY recommend Duncan's Dog Daycare for your pup as you will feel satisfied knowing your pups are getting the best love and care while they are away. read more

This is a new, woman-owned, small business on Madison's East Side. We found DDD through a friend's recommendation and we couldn't be happier. We send our pup here 3x a week for exercise and socializing - she gets constant supervision, basic training and play, stimulating games and activities, and nap time with calming music and scents. And we can see all of it through a 24/7 live webcam set up in the space, and daily facebook photos (check out the Halloween photo shoot!) Our pup gets affection and attention, and we get to work at home during COVID without distraction. DDD has strict COVID drop off / pick up guidelines, so it's win - win - win. read more

My seven month old mini-Bernedoodle, Ellie, has been going to Duncan Dog Daycare (DDD) since she was four months old. She loves it and so do I! I have found this to be a partnership dedicated to helping Ellie be her best dog. Ellie goes to DDD at least once a week and with that regular schedule comes the opportunity to view Ellie on video throughout the day. I appreciate that level of tranparency. We tried dog daycare for the first time during COVID, when our boy, Fermi, started exhibiting worsening separation anxiety. After reading about local daycares, we decided on DDD because of the transparency, cleanliness, and enrichment activities offered. Our experience has only been positive!
