We were cautioned that the attic, basement, and interior storage areas were infested with FIVE (5) different types of rodents, that were each listed - how disgusting, right?!
A crew installed wire mesh over the exterior eaves of home, and this actually appears to have been well done. (That earns a star in the rating, the rest of the work and questionable inspection / sales job isn't worth a single star in my opinion). No need to smear the employees by name, since the whole process was tainted start to finish. They know who they are, and we now know this is how they operate.
The first point that put us off was that each time they were scheduled to work either inside or outside our newly purchased home, they would pop in a day early, or at a different time on the scheduled day, curiously avoiding any contact. Twice when only painters were on site, the pest crews entered our home without permission or notifying anyone, and were only spotted by chance by one of our painters. When I immediately complained and protested to the crew boss, he laughed and joked that they were "Ninjas". I didn't pay for trespassing pranksters, I expected professionals, able to make and keep appointments.
Finally, the traps they set for these 5 types of rodents allegedly infesting our home, took a second and third trip as they missed one entire separate attic space on their previous unscheduled visit. (Had they shown up on the scheduled day of appointment we could have saved 'the Ninjas' an unnecessary return trip. Once all traps & bait were placed - it was time to rid the infestation, Except For One Problem - no trap has ever tripped in the following 3.5 months. No bait is touched. All this making it painfully clear there is no evidence of any grey squirrels, flying squirrels, rats, mice, or chipmunks they stated were running amuck in the attic, basement, and interior storage areas (no signs of damage, droppings, etc. have been observed).
In hindsight, it looks and feels like a scare tactic to sell services. Sadly, the entire process appears to be centered around sales, and the inspection aspect is highly suspect. We gave them our trust, full payment in advance (now we know why), and can chalk it up to a lesson learned. Don't be fooled. Don't make the same mistake we did.
