I wanted to go watson bay hotel for breakfast at 10 but sadly they were close (what?) so I walked arund the area. Found a place like this, directly ask can I hv a look with the menu! Bingo! Egg Benedict! Bake eggs!! The whole menu is kinda my breakfast idea! I order latte n a flat white for my bf, it's alright. Food is good! Specially the bacon! It's really crispy! I order English breakfast tea after my meal, it's doesn't taste anything at all... Lil bit disappointed :( but over all i love this place what a view! Good service! Good selection of the menu (for me) I'll def go back!

So was wrapping up a day trip to Bondi and after the rigorous hike around to catch all the views of…read morethe coastline, I decided that lunch was in order before heading back to the heart of Sydney. There is no shortage of places to check out across the main street but I wanted to grab some grub at a joint off the hustle and bustle of the main street as I tend to uncover good food with less crowding. I went down Gould and after a bit of twist and turns I stumbled upon Neighbourhood as they were beginning to open up for lunch. The joint itself has some seating outside and then a bar the moment you walk in with some high tops on the left side. They also have more tables in the back of the restaurant but I wanted to catch all the action and people watch so chose a table near the front with a view of the windows. The bartenders and waitress were super friendly here and they struck up lively conversation as I perused the menu. This joint offers up a standard menu with a bunch of entrees and appetizers but also seems to offer a bbq type menu in the back which seems to be limited supply. I was not looking to get stuffed completely but instead wanted some bites so focused my attention on the entrees and appetizers. The menu here has a Louisiana or dirty south feel to it which was a welcome sight for me cos who can hate on a delicious piece of fried chicken. I started by perusing the drinks menu and my attention was caught by the "Hood's Zombie" because it said strictly one per customer next to it. I mean who can turn down a drink that is limited to one per person. The drink is packed with a lot of adult goodness including absinthe and I thought was delicious. It's a shame because I really wanted a second one.. but I digress. For the grub, we decided to have an order of the fried chicken and the tater tots with cheese and jalapeno. Clearly going for the healthy lunch. The tots were out and they were nice and crisp with the bacon being a delicious protein on top. I wish they had put more jalapenos but the ones I was able to snag were a delicious plus on the tots. The chicken was next and it was tender and juicy with the skin being fried to a nice light crisp. The aioli sauce they provide is a nice accompaniment to the chicken and provides flavor complexity. All in all, this is a great spot and I can see it be hopping at night with their drink menus, friendly service, and upscale bar food. Definitely a positive in my book and worth recommending to those in the Bondi area.

This ended up being Neighbourhood, a local hipster spot, which she's been to several times for drinks. It was pretty bumping for a Wednesday evening (around 7:15pm). We were able to snag a more secluded table between the kitchen and backyard area. This place is loud and there were lots of large groups but it made for a good atmosphere. Just be prepared for the noise and music. The menu is split into daily deals (Monday nights are burgers & beer for $15.00 AUD), drinks (cocktails, wines, beer and cider), small plates, mains, sides, burgers and desserts. Apparently, there a Sunday roast ($30.00 AUD) that sounds promising. FYI: there's a 10% service charge on Sundays and holidays. Staff were friendly and continuously brought out water jugs. - Mac 'n' cini ($12.00 AUD for 5) - came with a side of blue cheese sauce. Actually, not too heavy, lightly fried but I wouldn't want to eat this if it was just me. - Marinated eggplant san choy bau ($12.00 AUD for 3) - gem lettuce cups, mixed herbs, house pickles, Sriracha mayo and crispy shallots. This was a better small plate. A tasty vegetarian spin on lettuce wraps. - Black angus rump steak ($15.00 AUD for 250g) - I added a glass of red ($5.00 AUD) as this was their Wednesday special. Pretty good deal in my books! Came with a small piece of roasted corn and potato fries. A bit weird that they didn't ask how I wanted my steak cooked but it all worked out. A tender, just before well done steak with an addictive jus sauce. - Alabama slammer ($14.00 AUD) - southern fried chicken with burger cheese, bourbon BBQ sauce, blue cheese mayo and slaw. I had a bite and the sauce is on the sweet side. Decent but not the biggest burger. Doesn't come with any sides either. It's casual but a pretty reasonable spot to grab a drink and a few bites in the Bondi hood. 3.5 stars.

The bar that it's situated in is kind of an American diner but also feels a little dirty.. I ordered the 'Good ol Time' and it was probably the messiest burger I've had to date! My buns became a soggy puddle within minutes which lead to me being covered in sauce drenched napkins. The beef patty was meant to be medium with some pink but it wasn't pink or juicy at all... it also looked and tasted really artificial, like a Big Mac patty but on a much larger scale. The sauce and other ingredients were alright and the fried mac n cheese ball that came on top was a nice touch but I won't be returning here.. there are too many other hectic burgers out there for me to eat and I don't necessarily want to have a bath after every "GoodTime"....

I had the Don't Have A Cow (veggie) burger, and it was good- 10 bucks for a huge decent burger on a nice crusty roll. There was a subtle mint flavour coming from somewhere and the guacamole was really good. I don't often find a burger I want to write a song for and this was no exception but it definitely hit the mark. I like this place.

They were excellent! To drink, my wife had a margarita and I had a skinny Pina Colada. Fresh lime juice and Cointreau in the margarita. Both were really good. The jazz duo that played that night were really great and is what attracted us to this place. When the band took a break there was 80s R&B music playing in the background. Laid back and happy crowd. Good times!

Andy, you said you would sort out my refund and i have not received any. I waited a week and texted you and called you. YOU WERE AVOIDING ME. We came there yesterday night for a table for 3 for all you can eat dumplings. We got sat down and had to wait almost 25m for the first course of dumplings to be served, and the place only had 2 tables at that time, us and another table for 3. At one point the waitress brought a portion of steamed dumplings and we thought "finally" but no, she gave it to the other table while they still had unfinished dumplings on their table. For almost an hour it seemed like there was only 1 waitress and she was doing all the work so we didn't mind waiting for her. But the annoying thing was even when they started to have more waiters, nobody was looking after us. We had to wait roughly 10-15m to get a portion of dumplings every time, while the next table, had 5 plates of unfinished dumplings (and keep in mind, they only serve 2 at a time), so we were quite unhappy with the mistreatment. No diversity in dumplings, 2 small portions of steamed and 1 fried on repeat the entire night. I get it, it's all you can eat so options can be limited but at least if the dumplings were good, we wouldn't be complaining. They were absolutely mediocre, and the last plate of fried dumplings we got was cold, not even warm. It was only 90m sitting down but i'm not exaggerating, the amount of time we ate was only 20m, the 70m rest was waiting for the food. Total bill was $117/ 3 people. With a bad start and terrible ending, ordinary dumplings, long waiting time and poor customer service. The whole experience felt like a ripped off! The only 1 star there is for the band, they played good jazz music. Definitely would not recommend.

Enjoyed eating their delicious gourmet burger while enjoying the views of Bondi beach…read more We decided to try this place out because my boyfriend wanted to try Kangaroo meat while visiting Australia. Kangaroo was on their menu and that's what caught our eye on this place. PARKING: There's parking at Bondi beach, so if you park there, you can cross the street to this place. Otherwise there may be some street parking. I did not observe any designated lot for his restaurant. SERVICE: The lady at the counter was nice. Not sure if my American accent made it difficult for her to comprehend some of the questions I asked her, but she was still nice and courteous towards us. Basically everything I asked her, her reply was, "yes it is good." PRICE: So their burgers were a little pricey... about $15 - $20 for a burger, however, the quality was great and their buns are Gluten Free!! Totally worth the price. The burgers did not come with sides so you do pay extra for fries. FOOD: My boyfriend ate the Kangaroo burger which he enjoyed. He had no complaints at all. I had their Black and White Burger which was their beef burger. It was a bit messy to eat so towards the end I had to use a knife and fork to finish it. The egg and tomato relish just got deliciously messy. ATMOSPHERE: It's a nice casual spot to enjoy a burger. Walk in, order at the counter and they bring the food to you. There's a nice view of Bondi beach and you can choose to eat either inside or outside their restaurant. Perfect setting in that area. I'm definitely we ran into this place while cruising Bondi Beach.
