I went in for contacts and my daughter wanted glasses. With my VSP insurance Stefany told me for the 6 month supply it's $26 and for the year I would pay $150 out of pocket. Then she told me that I was paying about $160 for my daughter's glasses. She charged my card $350. So the lies started here. It took 3 weeks to be able to pick up the contacts and the glasses. They handed me 2 boxes ( 1 box for each eye) when I was supposed to get 4 boxes. Then I looked at the enclosed receipt and I was charged $190 for 2 boxes of contacts. Mind you they use 1800 contacts to order your contacts. So they are adding extra money on top of the discounted price of the contacts. I was told on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 that I couldn't get a refund until I've spoken to Stefany and Maya (the manager). Stefany refused to provide the phone number at the office in Passaic where Maya was working. Maya is the only person who can process a refund. She is prompt when returning phone calls but she's very dismissive. I explained several times what happen and she replied I didn't provide stefany with my insurance. Now how does that make sense when they processed my insurance for my daughter? Then she tried to say I was ordering color contacts and told me it cost $95 per box. That was incorrect because I needed the Alcon air optic for astigmatism and stefany ordered Alcon air optic plus hydraglyde for astigmatism. So my total order is incorrect on top of the charge. Maya calls me back then tried to offer me the contacts for a low price of $80 per box. After that wasn't good enough she said they don't match prices and doesn't use 1800 contacts. That's funny when stefany was able to offer me the contacts at $59.99 per box then times 4= $239.96. So now Stefany want to take that $239.96-$164 (the difference for 6 month supply)=$75.96, but she stated if I would give her $75.96 more dollars it will all be squared away. Now why would I do this or pay anymore money when I've already been overcharged? My insurance covers $130 so how or why would I need to pay $190 or anything extra on top of that. Now Maya calls me back for a 3rd time and finally ask for my husband's info so she can indeed look at my insurance. So the 4th and final time on this day she called me back with an offer she never does. I can get the 2 extra boxes for $170 and she will refund me $20. By doing this she's still not using my insurance but just trying to make me go away and still be out of money. I told her I have 2 boxes and for 2 boxes I will pay $26 and that I want $164 refunded to me when she comes into the office. My daughter's billing was done correctly and I did get refunded but it wasn't a smooth process. It took 3 days to get resolved. The only issue I had with my daughter's glasses was that they billed my insurance company for the polycarbonate lens when that wasn't never discussed. Also, now stefany isn't allowed to now show customers the 1800 contacts pricing. Just shady shady business. I wouldn't recommend this place because of these two. Sorry to the kind lady who works beside stefany. She was extremely pleasant. I wish I knew her name to state it.

Coming in for that second opinion was the best decision I could have made, and now we're actively working together to resolve this recurring issue. Many doctors don't take the time to fully hear you or take your concerns seriously--that is not the case here. Dr. Milgrim validated my concerns after my dermatologist had minimized them for so long.
