I always complained that there's really nowhere hyper local to get ski attire whether for actual skiing or after ski. I found just the place during Lakewood Chocolate Walk - Geiger's! AMBIANCE: Standalone store in downtown Lakewood that's apparently been part of the community since 1932 (wow!) For being such a longstanding retail space it's surprisingly modern. It really reminds me of Eddie Bauer's. The store has multiple rooms of outdoor attire. MERCHANDISE: Most of the attire (predominantly women's and children's) looks like chic athletic-ish attire to wear around Lakewood. Faux fur vests are especially soft and high quality. There is an entire room of skiing gear - skis, ski goggles, and sweaters with ski landscapes. There's also a pretty expansive selection of children's attire. You'll find popular brands like Patagonia and Yeti, and also less known brands. Prices are mostly what you'd expect at a high-end department store. SERVICE: The service at the store wasn't too attentive. Employees were a bit awkward with client interactions. Perhaps because it was busy. Check out this store if you are looking for winter attire like coats, chunky sweaters, gloves, and hats. There are plenty of choices here. I'll come back when I have more time to browse the coat inventory.

Employees are too lazy to train, but somehow want shift lead/assistant manager position pay. They talk about you and customers for no reason, to other employees. I was sent to the dressing rooms to work for the rest of the day and gotten told to "do my job" in front of customers, by the manager, as he walks by. He could have pulled me aside and told me that. I'm not going to discourage people to not work here, just giving my perspective at this place. It's a great job to work if they have people who are fun to work with and not a'holes.

I have asked employees if they would honor the online code and they said that they could not - seems a bit silly to me. All in all, the clothing is well styled but not made all that well. I sure did stepping in for the first time today. AMBIANCE: The shop smelled like intense fall creating the perfect shopping mood. Against white exposed brick there are various pockets of treasure. Service is warm like autumn sunlight. INVENTORY: The selection is pretty expansive from purses to candles to purses. I'm a huge fabric snob and found them to be well curated here - silks, cozy sweaters, and textured pieces. I'd call this collection very elegant. All very touchable! The prices greatly vary. One purse that caught my eye was $98 which is pretty much the equivalent of sale Coach purse. The inventory is not listed online so stop in at the West Side or East Side locations. I wasn't impressed with the size assortment at the store. The sizes only go up to L. I wear XXL or XXXL so nothing in the store would remotely fit me. But petite girls could easily build an entire unique outfit for any occasion - work, formal, and leisurely weekend. I liked this boutique in terms of being on trend, on season, and perfect curation. I didn't love that I couldn't find something that would fit me. I won't be shopping here due to sizes, but recommend that anyone seeking sophisticated outfits plans a visit.
