There is also a nice stream area with a little waterfall near a nice trail system, good for a hike or going mountain biking. There's currently a big project underway, with signage indicating that it is a stream restoration. It looks like it will be pretty nice when it's done, and I'm curious to see how that turns out! There are a couple of different lots available for parking, though I imagine it fills up when there are a lot of games scheduled.

A nice large green space near the town hall and in close proximity to shopping and restaurants…read more Despite that, it has a nice big green hill to run on, a walking trail that winds across a stream, and several nice amenities: a big playground area, a baseball field, a basketball court, a shelterhouse with picnic tables, and a restroom facility. The playground is an interesting setup that I haven't seen before - rather than doing one large playground or even two split by age ranges, this one has multiple different elements spread out across the area, ranging from more typical swing options (traditional, baby, accessible, tire), seesaws, and slides to sand play options (the digging machines were cool) and more unique jungle gym set-ups - the one had a slide that didn't appear to have any sides to it and the other offered climbing opportunities but seemingly rather challenging with large holes and spaces in it. The whole area seemed quite popular as there was quite a crowd. There is a nice paved parking lot available, including EV charging spots.

We took advantage of the paved 1mi trail, which was nice because from all the snow melting the grass was muddy. All along the trail were benches if you wish to take a rest, and doggy bag stations with trash cans. The park has plenty of parking, a really nice play ground, tennis courts, and more. It seemed clean and well kept. Despite being fairly busy, it still felt like there was plenty of room to enjoy yourself. As we were leaving the parks dept was putting up a Go Bengals sign, which I loved! Really shows community spirit!

Juilfs Park is one the township's finest. There are play structures for ages ranging from 2-12 years old. Most of the structures are farm themed. There are themed ways to climb that I have yet to see before. One of the structures has a section where children may stop, and learn about preditor animals. There are buttons to be pushed. Upon doing so, a recording plays with the information. There is a large sandbox that is covered by a sunshade. The toddler play area is covered with a sunshade as well. The large play structure, water play area and swings are not covered. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, a water play area is active. This one is farm themed to match the play structure. The water turns on after 10am. Water is turned off towards the end of the day. Not interested in play structures? No problem. Juilfs Park has a paved walking trail, covered picnic areas, soccer field and baseball field. There are also various "porch swings" around the park. Juilfs Park follows a new trend when it comes to dogs. While dogs are allowed at the park, they are not allowed on or around the play structures. This is for the health and safety of all.

The pretty Todd Pond offers a nice place to sit and relax and also allows fishing. A couple of shelter houses and a gazebo, with picnic tables, are available. The playground area is great - swings, slides, climbing structures, seesaw, and more. A paved walking trail winds through the park. A clean restroom is available, and there are two paved parking lots available on either side.

This stretch of land offers widely varying topography and plant life. An array of paved trails and…read moremanicured gardens circle the place, but a wildflower sanctuary and some more rugged terrain exist towards the edge of the property. It appeared that the park required a parking fee at least some of the time, though it didn't seem to be enforced while I was there (maybe it's a Memorial Day-Labor Day situation?). Regardless, the $10 for a car would be a pretty good deal. There was a kid's garden that looked nice and which costs extra. One can walk into the gardens from nearby footpaths as well, though there did not seem to be any access directly from the residential neighborhoods nearby.

On Sundays in the summer a musician plays the carillon bells in the tower for about an hour in the afternoon. Bring some blankets, lay in the sun, and watch the clouds while you listen to the carillon. Behind the playground is a ravine and a hiking trail. Take the stairs down to the old boat house. This seems to be a popular spot to take engagement pictures and senior pictures. From there follow the trail into the woods and along the creek. It's a great place to take your kids to learn about trees, bugs, and other outdoorsy things. The trail does not go very far before the creek makes a sharp left turn and it becomes difficult to go further. We wandered around for a while trying to find the continuation of the trail, but it seems that it ends at the bend in the creek. From there you backtrack to the park. This park is within walking distance of our house, so on our way home we pass through the Mariemont square and always get some ice cream from Graeters. A great way to end any afternoon. It can be hard to find this park, but Mariemont has put a sign pointing the way in the median on Wooster Pike.

The playground along the eastern edge of Summit Park was very popular with the kids, There are135 acres (!) of greenspace, a fish-stocked (!) catch-and-release pond, and more climbers and such for older kids. The walkers and dog-owners among us liked the long network of paved paths and the dog-park area. There's a central open space apparently for concerts and such. I admit, i spent most of my time watching from outside the kids' playground, and listening to a band over the covered walkway next to the taco place, with a relaxing beverage from the nearby bar :-). Sometimes it's nice not to be in charge. None of us braved the cool-looking 9-level 153-foot observation tower because the we site said that the elevators were closed at the time. They say you can see downtown! There is also a slippery splash and play "water course" to explore which was closed, too, during our visit. They say there's ice skating in the winter. The whole experience worked for us because of the nice restaurants, bars, and ice cream shops along the north and east edges of the park. We ate twice with different groups at the Mexican taco place, and three times at the park-themed restaurant. We had coffee and drinks from the cafe / bar / bottle-store. We got ice cream twice! We didnt make it to the bakery or the diner, or the chic nail salon which could have been nice for some me-time :-).

Downstream of Cincinnati, this is a much quieter park than anything in the city. It has two road…read moreentrances; the one closer to the city was closed with no explanation, but the second one was open. The park had a paved walkway by the river with playground and picnic spaces as well as some kind of hut that could be booked for a party. There were some decent views to what looked like pastoral land across the river. The river itself was not particularly clean. The park also houses a more rustic trail which goes down by the riverside and through some woodsy areas filled with birdsong. The river isn't great, but the park as a whole has plenty to offer.
