One of the reasons we decided to book at the Dulcis Inn River House is because they offered free water to guests. I know that seems like a silly reason to book a hotel, but we happened to be there during a quite warm week and had been having trouble staying hydrated. It is a pretty cool mini hotel and the woman who ran the front desk was very friendly. She made sure that there was a good spread of fruits and pastries every morning for breakfast and kept the espresso machine stocked well. She was also able to let us check in early which was great. The hotel is located on the second floor of its building and is easy to access either by stairs or the elevator. The location in terms of doing the touristy things isn't the best as it sits just outside of the walls on the northern side of Rome. That being said however it is a short walking distance to a large bus stop at Fiume. From there we were easily able to access everything we wanted to see in Rome. There is an amazing restaurant next door, and several others across and down the street. A laundromat is around the corner as well if you are planning to stay awhile. The bed was comfortable and the area was quiet so we were able to sleep well. When we're back in Rome we will probably look this place up again. read more
