In 2021, I received a chemical peel at this med spa that resulted in a SEVERE chemical burn to my back. The peel was performed by a front desk receptionist who was "in training," not a licensed or certified aesthetic provider. I later learned this occurred because no qualified provider was available at the time, and rather than rescheduling the service, the treatment was performed anyway. I was not informed that the individual performing the treatment was unlicensed, nor was appropriate supervision or medical oversight provided. The result was significant skin injury--second degree burns, as shown in photos taken during my visit at the BURN UNIT. This was not a post-chemical peel reaction -- it was a chemical burn. At the time, I did not fully understand the seriousness of what had occurred. As a nurse working in the field of aesthetics today, I now clearly recognize this as negligence and a breakdown in management, supervision, and patient safety standards. To this day, I'm still baffled by how this was handled afterwards. Beyond the physical injury, the lack of accountability and concern from management/owner during my recovery was deeply upsetting and added to the emotional toll of an already traumatic experience. I was told that you pay by area (my area was the flanks) and you get whatever number of cycles are needed to achieve your goal. I paid over $1500 for two trips to their office (two one hour sessions) to cool sculpt my flanks and on the day of my third scheduled appointment, I received a call, five hours before that appointment, informing me that I needed to pay for more of what they are again calling cycles to continue with the treatment. I have seen very little, if any, reduction of fat in my flanks In a nutshell, I paid $1537.04 for two hours of, at this point, ineffective coolsculpting on my flanks (love handles). Update: Ideal Image contacted me in response to my Yelp and BBB review and requested that I contact them to try and resolve my issue. I called this company today and they made no effort whatsoever to resolve this matter. They simply parroted over and over that you pay per cycle and that the number of sessions for coolsculpting on the flanks is limited to two sessions, in defiance of the fact that the selling point for me and what the sales person communicated to me, which was the only condition stated by the sales person to convince me to try cool sculpting a second time, is that you pay per area and that you get whatever number of sessions are needed per area of concern to reach your goal. Update2: I received a call from Lindsey who informed me that the person who I spoke with earlier that day misspoke. She assured me that I would get a third session and that they would reevaluate me at that appointment to determine how many sessions I would need after that session to reach my goal. She apologized and assured me that Ideal Image would honor the promise made to me by the sales person who sold me on coolsculpting. I am very happy that Ideal Image stepped up to honor their promise made to me and I am very impressed with the level of care and professionalism that I experienced with Lindsey.

Three things were done incorrectly. 1. No preparation was made to the skin prior to the surgery. No scrub or alcohol, etcetera. 2. Due to the lack of preparation, the steri strips did not adhere to my skin. 3. The technician failed to use a large enough clear cover over the steri strips, so when the steri strips detached, so did the covering. See attached image. I booked a month in advance for 2:30pm and the treatment didn't actually start until 4:00pm. I had asked when I got there how long it will take because I had to pick up my son at 4pm and they said I would have more than enough time. (I left at 5:30pm and had to call someone to pick my son up) Prior to all that, I was called into a room by Dr. Arviv with 3 other girls making it super awkward for me, telling me that the laser wouldn't be right for me and suggested other options that were in the range of 4K-8k. Bait and switch at its finest. I told her that was not in my budget and her attitude completely changed and made me feel bad for not being able to afford that and asked "well then what is in your budget?" I told her what I came here for, which was the laser that I had already paid and Dysport. I asked if I can just get a refund for what I already paid and she said no, and that she would then have to charge me a consult fee even though their promotion states free consultations. Then she said I could use the money towards any other service. She put me on the spot and then said they can do the micro-needling (which was what I initially asked for). Then when speaking about the Dysport she said I would need at least 50 units (which I've done less before) but went along with her to not piss her off even more since she was the one about to poke my face. The girl who did the micro-needling was super sweet and the receptionist as well. I even expressed my concern to her about that interaction stating it felt like Dr. Arviv was about to throw punches at me and she joked saying "it's the Israeli in her" I don't care where you're from, you don't treat a new customer like that. I regret getting the Dysport done by someone that already felt some type of way about me. It's been two weeks and my forehead lines are even worse than they were before. I've had people comment on my lines saying they look worse than ever and I don't even know how that is possible but maybe was done on purpose. I have done less units and have had way better results within 3 days. I reached out to them and they offered to add more but would you really go back to a place where they treated you poorly and will probably be pissed that I'm coming back to get something fixed? Not to mention it was the most painful Dysport experience and I've been doing this for a while now. Something didn't feel right. I asked for a refund and of course they said no. So I wasted money going here and had the worst experience at this place and now will have to spend more money to fix it with someone who actually knows what they're doing. Do not let good reviews fool you. All their Facebook reviews are fake scammers talking about bitcoin and nothing to do with Arviv. I paid 4k up front, paid brows as we went. $250 each session for partial removal. I ended up doing the foot twice, brows 4x. About the 2nd to 3rd brow session I started to realize something was very off with the techs knowledge and experience of real client interaction, the machine, complicated situations, wounds knowledge (handling and dressing), and a lack of progression with the lightening of the tattoo themselves. I myself have been in the tattooing industry for 22 years, second generation. Nelam had very little experience with services beyond a simple a light case, this became very obvious. Also charged me almost the twice the going rate.....seemingly to learn the pico laser further, on me as her guinea pig. I was having almost zero impoverishment/ lightening over 4 sessions. I was tired of hearing " you just need to be patient ". Others I knew were having far better results at Dermalase, at half the cost. I wanted my left over funds returned to seek efficient help elsewhere. Which they did return, but with a bit of opposition. When I asked for my funds and expressed my reasoning. Nelum refused to give copies of my medical records, and tried to get me to sign a no defamation form, instead of trying to problem solve in the situation. But these acts, raised serious red flags. Come to find out the word on the street is shes not even licensed to run a class 4 laser, which is the machine i went the to have used on me. MAKES PERFECT SENSE! Also the machine kept flashing that it needed serviced. Nelum quickly turned that off. Also makes sense. I have been the dermalase medspa for my foot now, and the difference of experience on all fronts is night and day. I went back and forth about sharing my experiences here at Nirvana. I hope this will help someone else not waste money here, at least for tattoo removal. I wish I read this before I went here! I cannot and do not speak for the other services offered here. I do 10 permanent cosmetics clients in ocala weekly. I refer about 3 women a week to tattoo removal. Bad tattoo brows is sadly an epidemic now. I have since stopped referring to Nirvana altogether in June. I refer 100% to Dermalase in Ocala and stand behind their experience, affordability, and patient handling.
