They were very welcoming and hospitable, especially given that we checked into the hotel at 9:45pm, and they close the restaurant at 10pm. They accommodated us without hesitation. This establishment is owned by a Jordanian family, thus they don't sell alcohol, however they do have non-alcoholic cocktails and beers. The food here is awesome! It's a modern American style gourmet restaurant with a southwestern flare. The approach is innovative and modern without being smug or pretentious. My wife and I had dinner and breakfast here and we both loved our dishes. For dinner I had the rib eye, and for breakfast I went with the huervos rancheros (sp). read more

I really wanted to give them a better review, but the service was just terrible. The food was OK, nothing spectacular. Portions were small, and overpriced. The menu says a cafe latte is $4, but we were charged $4.50. I don't mind the price, but it is unethical to charge different from menu prices. Another issue I have is that for parties more than 3 they charge an 18% gratuity. This seem ridiculous to me. After experiencing the terrible service, I understand why they decided to do this. My tip would have been 12-15% otherwise. If you are in the area, you can get better food and service elsewhere. I will say the blue corn waffles, and bananas foster French toast were very good, but the huevos rancheros left a lot to be desired. read more

We had low expectations of this restaurant attached to the Desert Inn hotel (you know how those can be). But wow, the food was just fabulous, even accounting for an abbreviated menu. My salmon was exquisite, and my husband's sage-infused chicken was perfection. Apple blossom for dessert was amazing. Waitstaff was exactly one person, but you never would have known it. My husband and I stayed at the Desert Rose Resort and ate at this restaurant two nights in a row!! Restaurant is closed Sundays in the off season!! We went on a Monday and Tuesday, gets busy so go early!! We had the Duke's Burger and it was by far one of the best burgers I have ever had. So tasty, full of flavor and satisfying!! Our waitress was amazing! She remembered our order from the night before. All around exactly what you want after a day of exploring and driving! Great service, great food, great ambiance. For being out in the middle of nowhere, the food is pretty good. The restaurant is very nice and modern. Service was good. I'm surprised they add gratuity to a check with 3 customers and don't tell you it's added in. I have a real problem with that. 4 1/2 stars here...What a breakfast surprise! Welcoming staff and lovely restaurant in a small city! Blue corn waffles with fresh berries were great! The chicken sausage was best I've had. Having checked in the Desert Inn we chose the close-by Dukes for dinner. This restaurant offers a very nice patio with several tables and rocking chair like seats in a great athmosphere. We ordered a Country Fried Steak with fries and Mushroom Ravioli. Unfortunately, the steak was served with a potato instead of the ordered fries. The waiter apologized and served the fries some minutes later. The breaded steak and the fries were ok, the vegetables delicious. The fries were seasoned with herbs which were unfortunately neutral in taste. In addition, the fries lacked salt. The mushroom ravioli were delicious. The waiter was very polite and caring but could have been quicker getting the credit card receipt. In sum, the Dukes offers an average food quality in a great athmosphere. read more

Was not expecting such fantastic food in the middle of nowhere! Quality food and well cooked. There was at least one vegan main platter and there was so many veggie sides to choose from! What a pleasant surprise!! Bluff is a very small town exiting the Canyon Lands. You blink and Bluff is gone. We camped for the evening and decided to give Duke's a try. I'm SO glad we did!! It's a beautiful new rustic restaurant with local art and character galore. The proprietor and the new food and beverage manager made several stops at our table; friendly and very professional. Onto the food...OMG, the best part!! My husband had the wild mushroom ravioli...It was INCREDIBLE, no lie!! The wild mushrooms were so tasty and the sauce was to die for!! (I apologize for the grammatical errors.) I had the Atlantic salmon and it was extremely good! Both entrees were beautifully plated. I highly recommend Duke's! In fact, we are going to try breakfast in the morning...I can't wait!! We returned to Duke's for breakfast and it was delicious!! The coffee was very good!! After driving through the AZ+UT wilderness for hours with almost no food, we rolled into Bluff super late and got directed to this restaurant by our hotel. Even though it was so late, the staff were gracious enough not only to cook for us but also to package the meal up with cutlery kits and everything so we could take it back to our room. Since we didn't dine in, I can't comment on the wait service, but I can say the food was delicious and fresh. I recommend the caesar salad and steak. The portion sizes were really generous as well. I'd definitely come again if I'm ever back in Bluff, and we're very grateful to the staff for going out of their way to feed us. Our group of 7 primarily ordered burgers, pasta and fish. The mahi mahi was good but overpriced for the portion. Burgers looked great but the meat was tough and the buns were too large. After seeing only two reviews, and one of them less than favorable, we were a little hesitant about what we might find at Dukes. However, we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The food was tasty, atmosphere was comfortable, and service was friendly. The steaks we ordered were not the best we'd ever had by any means, but definitely met expectations given the meager choices in Bluff. It did seem that the staff had trouble keeping up as the restaurant filled to capacity, but we beat the crowd at 6:45 and did not have to wait extra long. I wouldn't give this restaurant five stars in a big metropolis, but this far off the beaten path, it definitely hits the mark. read more
