Chocolate chip muffin and donut - both dairy free!

As someone who is both gluten free and dairy free, it can be a challenge to find a place where I can eat, never mind baked goods. Enter Duke's! An entire gluten-free bakery plus they have a ton of dairy-free goodies as well. I've been here many times, and I can't believe I've never left a review. I recently got a chocolate chip muffin and donut. The muffin was huge, but very delicious. The donut is small, but honestly it's the perfect size as it's pretty filling and was very yummy. The service here is always friendly! I asked about dairy free items and was shown the case of goodies, as well as offered some suggestions. The atmosphere is friendly and warm, and perfect place to come to enjoy gluten free goodies.

We stopped into Duke's Bakery a couple weeks ago. The location is gorgeous, as you can sit on the patio and look at the river. We ordered chicken and waffles, tater tots, and Mac n cheese. Everything was delicious and gluten free! It's so nice to be able to get so many different options at gluten free bakeries. We also tried a brownie. The person that took our order asked if we liked peanut butter, and suggested the peanut butter brownie. YUM. Definitely a place to stop if you're in the area!

Our Famous Cold Joe (with Coffee Iced cubes? And regular ice)

So excited to go back to Dukes! Anytime you get amazing gluten free food, you gotta be hyped. Well, we were passing through Falls River and this time we used the online ordering system.... Don't. Just don't ever do that... The system told us when we were 30min away it would take 40 minutes for the food to be ready. It took 7. The chicken tenders had a $4 upcharge, the brownies had a $1 upcharge and the cold brew had a $1 all due to them using Door Dash as their online ordering system. As for the food, it was excellent but the Cold Brew is supposed to come with coffee ice cubes and while it did, it was supplemented with regular ice (not something I expected or as advertised).

Food was incredible. Hot dog 10/10 burger 10/10 steak bomb 11/10. Service was above and beyond. Place was very cute.

I visited Duke's Bakery in Fall River for the first time and was really disappointed with the experience. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted, even though there was only one other customer there. I ordered a small coffee, two muffins, and a steak and cheese sub, which came out to around $40. The staff member who helped me was rude and dismissive, even after I mentioned it was my first time visiting. When I opened my food, the sandwich was messy and falling apart in the container, which made it hard to even eat. For the price and reputation, I expected a much better experience. I always try to support local businesses, but unfortunately, this visit left a bad impression and I don't plan to return.

I honestly can't say enough about this amazing GLUTEN-FREE restaurant! I've been introducing my family, friends and my Meet-up group women to it, and they're all thanking me. First of all the food is so delicious, and always homemade....and there are so many choices, including paleo, dairy-free, etc. Second the staff is so accomodating, led by owner Chris and her son Dennis, and they'll go out of their way to create a wonderful experience for you. Third the old mill ambiance is charming...but the food is definitely what keeps us coming back! So...do not miss checking out this delightful bakery/restaurant!

I absolutely love dukes. Everyone is friendly and it's super cute inside. The iced coffee is the best I've ever had. I get blueberry caramel. The chicken and waffles was absolutely delicious and the bacon. My boyfriend got an omelette with home fries and it was delicious. We got a peanut butter brownie, cake pop, and blueberry muffin and everything was so tasty.

The breading on the portobello was light and crispy. The salad side was dressed perfectly and the sun-dried tomatoes added a perfect punch of flavor. I had been a somewhat regular patron of this restaurant over the years so I debated on writing a…read morereview. After speaking to several restaurant owners (not associated with this establishment) I decided to provide my feedback. On Tuesday, 11/11/25, I ate at this establishment with two friends. The first thing I noted was the high prices for mixed drinks, in particular the apple fall spritz for $17, which I found outrageous. We ordered apps- hall of fame chowder, clam chowder and a cucumber app and several martinis. Let me start by saying that the service from our waitress was phenomenal, which is not always the case. I believe her name was Nancy and she was extremely attentive. I had gotten about half way through my Hall of fame chowder when I pulled a shard of glass from my mouth, after taking a bite. I checked my martini glass and there were no chips or missing glass so I knew that it came from the bite of chowder I had just taken. I politely informed my waitress who was overly apologetic and she notified the manager who approached the table a couple minutes later. He did apologize but managed to downplay the situation, almost acting as though it was not the restaurants fault. He informed me that they removed the soup and 1 martini from my bill, which I thanked him for. As we were leaving, I tried to say goodbye to the manger but he WOULD NOT make eye contact with me. I cannot recall if he did actually say goodbye but I had made eye contact with him as we were walking toward the front so he was aware that we were leaving. For me, it wasn't about what they could do for me- removing items from the bill or providing a gift card etc., it was the managers response to the entire situation that truly disappointed me. Overall, I find most of the menu and drinks to be overpriced. The location and restaurant itself is beautiful but the service in general is inconsistent (though my waitress on this day was by far the best I have had in the 15-20 times I have been). I can only hope that they did not continue to serve that batch of their hall of fame chowder to other patrons. Due to the managers lack of concern and overall disposition I would not return to this restaurant. The sign of a great restaurant, is having staff that are not only concerned with their customers satisfaction but most importantly, taking pride in the quality of the products they are serving. This particular incident could have ended tragically and the lack of concern was deeply troubling.
