(they do animal protein as well) The cafe's healthy offerings of such are the main reason we go there regularly. We had a fantastic experience! As a team, Anna and Finley prepared a breakfast for us that accommodated for my food allergies. We had a modified veggie bowl, a pancake platter, and a couple of sides we paid for. We would not ask for this during a busy time, but it was early. We also had great coffee and a well prepared smoothie. Anna worked with us on the order and recorded everything accurately. Finley created the most artistic, beautiful, and possibly most healthy breakfast I've had in Hood River. I could not be any happier with the presentation, flavor, and value of the breakfast that they prepared for us. This is one of the few dining experiences in Hood River that is actually worth the money. We'll keep going back for that same quality. Thank you again.

Service was very friendly at the kitchen and they took our order quickly. Then you grab drinks/chips from the cooler area and pay at the cashier (he was extremely grumpy). Sit at one of the indoors outdoors tables and the bring your lunch to you. I had the Italian which has a very small spoonful of pesto on it. He had the BLT that was swimming in mayo! Somewhere in between of beans th sandwiches would be good. Some lettuce and tomato on the Italian would be good also. They are large sandwiches though and we ended up taking half of each home for dinner.

Beyond the store, they go out of their way to support hikers--offering free camping in their yard, plus showers and paid camping options at the nearby county park. The staff is friendly, the store is clean and typically well stocked. Of course they will never carry the volume and breadth of larger stores, but you can get all of your basics. Produce, bread & bakery items, dairy, high quality meat and fish, beer & wine, snacks just to name a few. Even gluten free options. They source local when they can - produce in the summer and Juanitas tortilla chips are good examples. When I cross the bridge to come to White Salmon to dine or visit a boutiqu, I always stop at Harvest Market to pick up some items.
