Cool swing to drink your cocktail to. Food is whatever, satisfies the hunger enough. Love the vibes!!
On our little road trip around the island, we stopped by here for food and drinks. This was actually one of the better stops we had. I ordered calamari and fish tacos, which were good and plentiful. Service was great in the beginning, but towards the end of our meal, they kind of disappeared. Bonus that they had bathrooms and they were clean! Would definitely suggest adding this as a stop if you're doing a road trip around the island as well.
On an evening where two of the places we tried were unexpectedly closed, Duffy's was a fine alternative. The host was super kind seating a large party. The mampasteao was the best. The fried red snapper (a special) was tasty. The tostones were bland and too thick. Everything else was fine.
Super fun restaurant with eclectic decor, yummy food, and fun cocktails! Service was awesome and our waitress was super knowledgeable and gave awesome recommendations! Will return!
We saw that the spot had a really nice reviews and compared to the other restaurant directly next to it. It was booming with business. We decided to walk in and we were not disappointed! We ended up sitting by the bar with chair swings, which was pretty cool. You can lock your swing in so it's not moving which is good for when you're eating, but if you're casually drinking, leaving it open is fine. I ordered mamposteao and chuletas and the meal was pretty solid (especially the mampo)! The piña colada was your standard but especially after a day of swimming I gulped that sucked down. Some of the staff actually appeared to be Australian/Kiwi which I did not expect but they were cool! Island sees island Anyway, def a great spot and would totally go back if I were to visit Vieques again.

This place has a really good vibe. It's right in front of the water which makes it very very fancy and nice to sit around. Watch some water. It's windy and it's a perfect spot to nice drink a few observations about this places that they have a lot of farm fresh fishes and very few wild cart fishes which is surprising because it's an island and I would assume that everything should be wild caught by default, but the food was OK. The service was great. I was expecting them to have a better seafood there, but it was not the case, and we enjoyed the experience visiting this place though.
Friendly fast service! , well balance drinks! Open seating with comfortable view of the ocean! .. food 5/5!! I came back twice!! On my trip! The fresh grill lobster 5/5 fresh fish 5/5.. i also got a appetizer platter i rate the 3.5/5 it was two items on there that wasnt my fav but everything else was great!! I would definitely come back here! Friendly staff with good food! U cant go wrong!
Stopped in while on vacation to Esperanza Beach. This particular day, it was a rather rainy day, so it cut our beach day rather short. We stopped in to grab a bite to eat before we had to catch the ferry back to Farjado. We decided to grab some quick appetizers and some cocktails. The service and staff was nice. Wasn't a big fan of the appetizers we got. We started with the spicy crab. I was thinking it was going to be with jumbo lump crab, but they utilize imitation crab which I'm not a fan off, it was tasty. And we got the fish bites, they we're nicely battered, just wish they had seasoned their batter, the fish was extremely bland. They have really good cocktails. Definitely will give them another try next time I'm in PR
We just checked into our adorable boutique hotel down the street and wanted to grab a quick nosh to curb our appetite before dinner and weren't expecting much-- so we were especially pleased with what we had! Duffy's has definite Señor Frog vibes with gigantic 24oz souvenir cups and "ask us about our Jell-O shots" on the menu, but the food is legit and the craft beer selection is stunningly good for an island dependent on ferried supplies. We had the peel and eat shrimp which were huge and the cocktail sauce was horseradishy hot and good, the fish tacos grilled - HUGE with generous fillings and delicious aioli tasting sauce- and finished off with arepas paired with the tuna poke - pro tip put the poke and seaweed salad into the arepa for an amazing little Puerto Rican Hawaiian fusion moment. We were thrilled also to have all our favorite beers from across the island available, which we didn't expect here-- everything from the west side's Rincón Brewing and Boxlab to Ocean lab and old Harbor from San Juan. (As a beer geek I was delighted.) The service was great with super friendly staff plus the ambiance was pure beachy casual realness with swing chairs at the bar that buckle in to ensure the soused guest doesn't get too crazy. Definitely gonna get a tee shirt before we leave- the vibe is right! And it's been around for decades, (founded in 1969) which is honestly incredible to see. Don't miss this iconic spot.
We loved this place we went twice during our visit to the island. People were friendly and pricing was reasonable. The pina colada was on point. Food was very fresh and delicious. We made memories that will last forever!

Watch out for the drink garnishes as they were hand touched instead of using the tongs in the bucket by many. Our grilled fish tacos and chicken sandwich were done well and served up hot and fresh. Overall a win, just watch out for the fruit!
Delicious and fresh tasting seafood. Ordered their virgin piña colada which highly recommend. Fish tacos were great portions and calamari was nicely breaded and fried. The atmosphere is wonderful overlooking the ocean. If you're in the area, highly recommend!

We were looking for an authentic Puerto Rican restaurant on the beach and we stumbled across this place. It was a bit Americanized in my opinion but the food was pretty good. Fried tacos were great. Drinks were a bit weak and the ceviche wasn't the best but the service was decent. read more

YESSSSSSS fish tacos were amazing and alright at first I thought the strawberry daquiri was small, but it was sooo flavorful so it was actually a great size. Great ambiance and views for such a chill place! Servers were super kind and helpful read more

This place is right across La Playa Esperanza beach. Enjoy a great view with great food. The ambiance is very beautiful, with great and interesting seating options, including swings. The food: I loved seeing that they have good vegetarian options like burgers, tacos, and salads, and they even had special Thamales that day. The drinks are colorful and delicious. We tried their Garden Salad and Thamales, which was delicious, and we had sweet and green plantain sides, which was exceptionally good. Loved the food, beautiful view, and great service. Prices: Very reasonable prices for the best taste and hygiene. Loved the experience. Looking forward to going back there again. Highly recommend the place. It's heavily crowded so would recommend to go early, we had to wait 30min for the table. read more

Duffy's is right on the water of Esperanza Beach. You can sit and look out to beautiful blue. The staff was nice and friendly. I ordered the fish tacos on corn tortilla, but I wasn't impressed. The fish pieces were large and dry. The pico and toppings on top was so heavy it broke the tortillas and it was messy to eat. Didn't enjoy the experience at all. If you are dairy free - ask for no sour cream. I don't remember seeing it on the menu but I could be wrong. read more

Beautiful view sitting across the street from the bay. Lively atmosphere- it was very crowded but we didn't have to wait long for our food. I ordered the catch of the day which was fried red snapper - the whole fish, eyes and all! Tall piña colada Staff were friendly and efficient. read more

Had two meals at Duffy's. Both with parties of 6+ guests Service was excellent, food was delicious, fresh, large portions. Drinks were flowing, we got the refill cup and tried a ton of the specialty cocktails. Absolutely recommend! read more
Came here while strolling on the beach nearby and waiting for our bioluminescence tour to begin in couple hours. Loved the passion with which the lady staff ( forgot to get her name ) made the drinks for us. I ordered the virgin coco limo and it was FANTABULOUS. It had coconut cream and lemon flavors, perfect balance and kick to your pallete and refreshing as well. We ordered a hummus appetizer to bite on and it was super disappointing. It tasted as if chickpeas had been simply grinded with some salt. It was served with chips that we did not enjoy much either unfortunately read more
Duffy's has a great vibe. It is right in the Esperanza area. We were happy to find a restaurant that had vegetarian options. We tried the tacos with veggie patty, fries. Veggie patty burger and the beans and rice. The beans and rice were tooooo good. They have a great local beer collection and they let you pick out your own cans and beer mugs. Our server was great and the service was fast. The server was very understanding of our dietary restrictions and was able to get us great food. read more

I was afraid this would be too touristy but there weren't a lot of places to eat at Vieques and it's across the street from where we met our tour for kayaking. After waiting a bit, our names were called and we were able to sit in this beachside restaurant. Up front has ocean views but we were sat inside. The severs were very nice to us with great personalities and even accommodated our time crunch due to the wait. A cute doggo named max works there and we shared our food with him. We are dog lovers and was missing our own little floof so to me this added to the casual family beach vibe. I ordered a canoa since it was on my list of foods to try and while I wouldn't order it again, it wasn't bad. Not on the menu but my daughter ordered chicken tenders and fries that were good. Prices were reasonable. Food decent Service good My only complaint is how watered down the drinks are. I ordered their drink of the day the staycation which was a Banana concoction and it tasted like melted ice water. The alcohol pour definitely needs to be heavier or not worth the money read more

My family and I loved Duffy's! The ambiance was perfect with a cute bar in the center of the restaurant. We didn't do the swing chairs, but that looked like a lot of fun! I love fish tacos and order them frequently. I can honestly say that the fish tacos here are some of the best that I've ever had. The tostones were cooked well. The rice and beans were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The curly fries and "double double" burgers were excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our pina coladas were large, very cold and smooth. Overall, Duffy's is an enjoyable, casual dining experience in adorable Esperanza. read more

Nice place, loud, crowded but service is great. Drinks are not only good the pours are great. Had the birria tacos which were ok. Good place for lunch and drinking by the water. They did have excellent live music. Has a great little ABB. read more

Nothing but good vibes when I visited. Got to sit on the swings at the bar while enjoying the nice view of the water. Friendly staff and very attentive. Can't complain about the drinks. I tried 4 different cocktails and they were all delicious. Will definitely visit again. Fun spot. read more

We stayed at Vieques for 4 days and ate at Duffys 3 times. Got the fried fish twice. That's how good it is. But it's pricey. $36 for medium and $44 for extra large. Service was good. Stephanie was our server. She gave us this hot sauce that was legit "fuego" but fresh and local. Food grades: Fried fish: A (wish they were bigger) Wings: A+ are fabulous. We got the garlic Parmesan. Pork chop: B- (slightly on the tough side. Def had better pork) Wedge salad: B+. (Great value) Garden salad: B (good value. It's an island. They have limited fresh veggie options) Drinks: A Soups: A- (we had seafood chowder...quite good!) Overall experience was great!! And you're in the middle of where everything happens! read more
Is this a tourist trap, yes 100%. Is it a fun as hell tourist trap, 1000%. If you go into this expecting a trendy locals bar with quality craft cocktails and incredible food you will be highly disappointed. If you want to get drunk with friends on sweet blended drinks, sit on a bar swing (that has a seatbelt if you decide the swinging is not for you), and maybe take a shot or two, you've come to the right place. If you want to bring home a souvenir they have hilarious iguanas holding cocktail tshirts, koozies, and huge reusable cups with handles! We sat at the bar and only got the two drinks but the bartenders were energetic and friendly. Definitely worth a stop for a bushwacker or blended drink! read more
Stopped by after a long beach day and was able to watch the sunset. Our table got calamari to share and I got the fish tacos (fried) and they were definitely worth it, large portions and very tasty! I usually am not a fan of mango in my foods, but the mango in the pico de gallo was not too noticeable and good. I also had a cocktail and it was pretty affordable and came in a cute coconut cup. Stopped by Duffys to grab a drink and boy that bar tender can make some real good drinks!! We went for the special somethins the bartender pulled off with rum (ofcourse) and loved it! Their rum punch was great as well.. huge place, service was amazing would love to stop by for food here on another trip to the island! read more
Drinks average $10. Beers about $6. Plates are reasonably priced for the area. Appetizer we ordered was fish bites. Good taste and not overly breaded. Taste of rice and beans was very good. Pork chops had a sweet bbq flavor that was unexpected as the usual PR chops don't have bbq sauce on them. Tostones were hot and fresh. Canoa (sweet plantain stuffed with ground beef) hit the spot. Ordered an extra side of tostones with that one. Service was very good. Attentive server and helpers everywhere checking on us. Had a great meal. read more
