Food was a bit pricey. Service from waiter was Excellent. Ordered Fish with shrimp and it arrived cold, dry, bland and with very little sauce, had no flavor for the price and wait time was a bit much, I expected better. When I say wait time I mean from time we ordered till the food made it to the table. I think food was left out and not bought out to us as soon as it was done because fish and shrimp were cold and the Tostones were hot. spent close to $140 for 3 "Including tip" we all had same price dishes and two appetizers " Small Portions"@ 10+ each appetizer 3 drinks with Zero alcohol. I would not recommend this place for dinner at those prices and food arriving Cold. good spot for fried finger foods, like Empanadillas,etc Just not dinner, it's over priced and food was bland, Cold, dry, nothing special. This is an awesome restaurant with a gorgeous view of the sea! If you ever visit the Punta Tuna Lighthouse, and/or surrounding area, make sure to eat here! Restaurant Musafa specializes in seafood, so please skip the pollo and carne sections and go right into mariscos and pescados. I had the Mariscada, which is a mixed seafood dish with lobster, shrimp, octopus and other stuff I can't name. Here you can also choose how your food is prepared, for Mariscada, the options are: al mojo, with garlic sauce, ensalada and a few others I don't remember. I chose the salad with a side of steamed vegetables. It was fantastic! A little salt and garlic, coupled with the natural flavor of vegetables, can bring out the best in seafood. I also had Piña Colada, it was refreshing, especially on such a hot day. Even though I ate alone, they can also serve large groups. While I was eating, a group of 20 came in, and the waitresses put several tables together for them. Outside the dining area, this restaurant also has a small kiosco that sells jueyes fritos, queso fritos and empanadillas. The food was fine: excellent calamari and fried cheese sticks, but the empanadas were not impressive. Prices were reasonable but the service was not great. Our entree came before our appetizers (is it service inexperience, some idiosyncrasy in the kitchen, or just a complete laissez faire? There were quite a bit of staff there but they all seemed busy. And I think the hours are posted wrong on google or they were a good half hour late opening. Their 2-go business was impressive! read more

Great location spoke just enough English we were able to order easily! The service was great! Food even better! Cod was good and the rice and seafood was a generous helping that included lots of clams mussels and shrimp! Every bite included seafood! Very good. PR 53 is a windey, one-lane road along the southern shore. It's dotted with small beaches, private homes and restaurants. It's a great place to explore the local scene on weekends as all the restaurants get packed. The parking lots are packed too so plan accordingly. During the week, 90% of the restaurants are closed. Fortunately, Restaurant Musafa saved our trip by being open and half-full. The bar area is open and faces the road, parking lot and beach. It's a full bar but mostly sells ice cold beers to the locals. The dining room is tiled and overlooking the small beach. I ordered several small apps to try as many flavors as possible. All the food was plentiful, inexpensive and super delicious! The apps and fish entrees were all very good. The service was a bit slow but there was only one waitress. This was a great place to pull over and have a typical Puerto Rican lunch! Parking is easy in their lot but not on weekends. read more

The best meal we had in Puerto Rico, and right on the beach. Don't be fooled by the bar out front, the restaurant dining area over looks the beach and is perfect to watch the sunset. Just beware, they serve large portions, so be prepared for left-overs or a full stomach. Only wish we were staying longer or we'd definitely go back. Gracias! read more

okay so its a place that specializes in seafood-so order the seafood we had a couple of beers on the back terrace overlooking the beach - wow could not get a better location - while ordering/waiting for the food it is an island place so service may seem a bit slow - but it was well worth it we had a red snapper and a grouper filet, both with mojo sauce and testones, meduros, and rice and beans - wow what a meal - the filets were HUGE literally filling half the plate - seriously like 9x7 at least, and perfectly cooked - the mojo sauce was tasty. the sides were also very good - my testones tasted better than my dining partner can cook at home, the meduros were very tasty and the rice and beans? well lets just say that I am glad I wont be able to get them at home otherwise I would be making them all the time they were that good. oh and to top it all off all the above was just 33 bucks wow read more

I wrote a review of Musafa three years ago that is no longer on the website. I gave it a 5. I found it on a business trip while wandering the island in some off time and absolutely loved it. I went back this week on a vacation with my wife. It still has 5+ location and ambiance. Perfecto. The waitress was the same senorita, I believe. 4+, no doubt. But the food this trip.....wow, no bueno. The cook managed to overcook Every Single Piece of seafood we ordered. 1 level food. I admit I was a bit concerned going in because a couple of other website's reviews mentioned overcooked seafood. But this was inedible, simply stated. Red Snapper was too chewy to eat. Shrimp was worthless. Lobster chunks not even appetizing. It was 4 pm on a Wednesday afternoon so there was no rush, either. Just really bad cooking. read more

We were on our way from Boqueron to Luquillo and found this place on Yelp to stop at on the way. It was very scenic, right on the beach, and we stopped there for a late lunch. Maybe it was because we stopped at a weird time (around one) but it took a really long time to get our food. The food was pretty decent. I got a lobster "stew," which was shredded lobster in a little dish with a baked potato. My husband got some "okay" carne fritas and my son had weird chicken nuggets that were kind of stringy. I'm not saying this to talk you out of going here- the view was amazing. It just felt a little overpriced for a sit down meal but I kind of felt that way while we were in PR. I think that's just eating on an island. We stopped at a similar feeling place near Cabo Rojo though and their food, while similarly priced, was much better. I think that's the only reason I'm saying these things: I know it is better at other places. read more
