The food was delicious. We just happened upon this place and noticed that it was open and seemed to be serving breakfast. I ordered a cappuccino and a truffle croissant and it was delightful. They had alternative milk options for the cofre which was super great for me. The croissant was huge and the flavor of the truffle, honey, prosciutto, and cheese mixed together was so balanced and yummy. Visited this place for our anniversary celebration dinner. Nice vibe and our server was very friendly and attentive. The grilled romaine Cesar salad was delicious. The eggplant was a disappointment for cheese was burnt and it was a very Small portion for the price. My husband's rib eye entree was also a big disappointment given the hefty price. Never seen a ribeye served sliced. It was also overcooked. This is a great place but they need to get a handle on food preparation. It was disappointing, especially since the place was not busy at all! We were also taken aback by their overcharging us on the corkage fee for our champagne. There is much about this restaurant that should be wonderful. The ambiance inside is very nice, but the outside is surrounded by dying plants, bare lightbulbs, dirty balcony. (However this is true of Palmanova Plaza in general - what a dump). Our waiter came to us about 10 minutes later to take our drinks order, which were delivered 25 minutes later. The drinks were very good and served with a little sampler crostini. Twenty minutes later he came back so we ordered our apps and dinner at the same time- not wanting to wait again. Twenty minutes later we got our appetizers - pear salad and a shrimp appetizer containing one large shrimp. The salad was good, the shrimp appetizer taste was good but for $18 there should have been at least two. We were two couples, and had ordered a boar pasta, and two filet mignons - one very well done and the other medium rare. We got two pastas (one was gratis as we didn't order it). They were tasty but mushy and we gave them a 5 out of 10. My medium rare steak was dry, cooked medium, cold and put on a large white plate with nothing else except a bowl of cold butter. I had expected melted truffle butter and garnish at the minimum. I had ordered brussels sprouts which were nice but a very small serving. All in all, an unappetizing presentation. I ate it, I was hungry, but I'd count it worse than a Ponderosa restaurant chain steak. All total for my meal $100. The other couple ordered their filet well done, with chimichurri sauce. Again a piece of steak on a big white plate all by itself. No check backs to see what we thought of the food, we had to flag service to get another drink, we had to flag the hostess to get our bill. All in all: Service - 1 Food - 2.5 Ambiance - 3.5 Value - 2 Worth going? - Nope. This was our third time. We give up. read more

Ember & Vine has great food but the service left more to be desired. I made a reservation for 7:30 and arrived at 7:15. When I arrived I noticed multiple open tables that seemed ready for seating. However, despite being on time, we weren't seated right away...meanwhile, a few parties who arrived after us were seated immediately, which felt a little off putting. Once we finally got to our table, the food was delicious and made it definitely worth the visit. I just wish the seating process had been smoother because it made for an awkward start to the meal. read more

The ambiance of the restaurant and the waitress were excellent. That's where the positive points end. We were a table of 5 and not one person enjoyed their meal. Out of the five meals 2 people had the eggplant that was called Parmesan but had no cheese. It was cold and served in the smallest skillet ever, the size of a chocolate chip cookie. Another person in our group had a Caesar salad that was basically the outside leaf of the lettuce with nothing else to it. The next dish was rigatoni carbonara that had approximately 10 pieces of pasta and tasted like raw egg with breadcrumbs tossed on top. The absolute worst meal was the pomodoro risotto special. The rice was hard and uncooked. The sauce was extremely salty. It was inedible and sent back. When our bill arrived that dish was still on it even though only a bite was taken from it and the waitress had been made aware that the dish was uncooked. My husband asked to speak to a manager and was told they do not have one. Eventually they reluctantly took the $34 risotto off the bill. It's a new place in Palmas were in the past was an excellent restaurant. This one, not that much. I passed by and saw this new place were in the past was one of my favorites. I entered the place and waited about 4 minutes until someone welcomed me and offered help. No host in place and people walking in and out of the kitchen and bar, talking among themselves, but no one to take care of customers. It feels like a college pub not like a formal restaurant. Was there tonight for a date night and got the filet medium and came out ice cold in the middle and asked for it to be cooked and again came out very rare.
