We were seated very quickly and served with water as well. The waiter was excellent with her recommendations and food arrived pretty quick. We didn't wait more than 10minutes. It's a hotter than usual summer in Puerto Rico so I would recommend the establishment to add some fans for the people who eat outside. The empanadillas were perfection They were cooked as they should always be. I ordered the ground meat empanadilla since I don't eat the other options they had and it was the best empanadilla of my life. The others on the table LOVED theirs as well. The crunch was perfection. I ordered the gnocchi and added protein (steak) which was a great way to have that balance in your meal ( & I'm a sucker for steak). The gnocchi's were the second best ones I've ever had. If your curious to know the best ones were in Italy‍ But this were so so so close wow!! You could taste that it was prepared there and not frozen! the mix of sauces was spectacular (red, pesto & cream)! Also tasted the Lasagna and I loved it!! my husband's thought was there it was way to cheese, but that's more of a personal preference since we don't eat cheese normally. Six of us just enjoyed an outstanding meal at Agustina. All of our entrees and appetizers were delicious and the service was A+++. We heartily recommend the Agustina Salad (with skirt steak), Chicken Marinara, lasagna, Chicken Parm and Rigatoni with Vodka Sauce. The appetizer with mozzarella, tomato jelly and prosciutto was divine. Prices are very reasonable. So delicious! Unassuming location in a shopping center in the palmas resort, what an amazing meal. It's always the little things that make a huge difference. The turnovers were perfect, onion/cheese was the best, savory with some sort of sweetness that just balanced it out. Spinach/cheese was equally as good & the dough was nicely crispy and light. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly medium & had a bit of a crust, served with both a chimichurri and bruschetta/tomato salsa, both were good enough to just eat off the spoon. Fresh greens with a lovely mustard vinaigrette. And pumpkin ravioli was also amazing, I forgot to ask what kind of pumpkin but tasted like butternut or maybe calabaza, with a really nice butter sauce. Then the tres leches, and the most amazing manchego flan you've ever tried. Excellent service with Angel. He greeted us nicely. Made us feel good welcome and answered all of our questions. Our group ordered the rib eye steak. A paradillia mix plate of sirloin steak, chicken pork and chorizo sausage. A chicken Marsala with fettuccine pasta. The meats came with sides of Pesto sauce and French fries. The food was good, I recommend the gnocchi it was amazing, the rigatoni al vodka was average. The lasagna was a 4/5. Very lovely view and environment. The spinach and queso empanada was amazing - I was not a fan of the onion and queso (I would describe the taste as french onion soup). Service was quick and my waiter was very kind. So. This was my second time here. The first time I came I had a $200 bill and the steak was apparently, according to the waitstaff, made by an apprentice chef. It was inedible and so salty I couldn't eat most of it - was still charged for it and I paid. Fine by me - happy to patronize a local place, I paid and had no complaint for the inedible steak. I went this evening with a friend and it was quite possibly the worst food I've EVER been served. We paid $50 bucks for terrible drinks and not for nothing, I'll NEVER refer anyone or go back. Take a look at their Chicken Parmesan............ dropped in a vat of two year oil? Dropped in a dirty volcano? The volcano would have yielded better results. Happy to speak to the owner however - they don't ever seem to be available. read more

Had dinner at Agustina for the first time last night - food was good. My wife and I share the Agustina salad which was very good. My wife had the Mushroom Risotto Milanese and I had the Lasagna Bolognese - both were good To very good. We shared the Tres Leches with Dulce de Leche for dessert - worth going back for - delicious. What brought this review down from a 4 star to 3 star review was the markup on the wine. We ordered a Portuguese Aveleda Vihno Verde ($30/bottle) but was informed they were out of stock. They recommended Bodega Norton Special Edicion Gruner Veltliner @ $35/bottle, not bad except that when I went on-line to wine-searcher to find out where we might get this wine - only to find that the price for this wine at a retailer ranged from $5 to $8/bottle. Having owned a bar, I knew the markup was very high (approx. 437 to 700%) normal markup S/B approx. 300 to 4oo%. Price of $25/bottle would have been high but acceptable. Service was very good - Alhondra was lovely and the rest of the staff was courteous and attentive but unobtrusive. Total cost of the meal including tax and tip was $123.50. We're staying at Club Cala which is less than 1/4 mile away - would probably return because of the food. read more

We had a wonderful meal last night at Agustina. The Chicken Marsala was a generous serving of very tender chicken over fettuccine. The wine list fit our tastes and the prices were reasonable. The setting is wonderful with a view. The servers were all very nice and friendly, while being very busy. We will be back. It is good to have another good restaurant that is reasonable prices in Palmas del Mar. read more
