On a recent trip around Puerto Rico, we stopped at Rincon Argentino because it was one of a few restaurants recommended to us. When we arrived, the restaurant had a few other patrons but we were greeted immediately and led to a spacious table in one section of the restaurant. The restaurant was perfectly decorated for an Argentinian steakhouse and our waitress was very patient and friendly. Since there were four of us, we ordered the Cordobesa for 4 people, which comes with skirt steak, chicken, pork, short ribs, and 4 sides. When the meats arrived they smelled SOOOOO delicious!!!! We also requested chimichurri sauce and a pepper sauce, both of which were excellent additions. If I'm in Ponce again, I would love to stop here! read more

Do not come here, I'm shocked they have 4 stars! I am not even picky and I like Argentinian food. To start, our waitress ignored us for 30 minutes before another waiter had to help us. After we ordered mocktails and asked for water, we didn't get it for another hour until I asked again. Then we got our appetizer salad which was at best ok. Our main dishes came about 45 minutes later. They were out of almost all of their sides and only had tostones out of a bag. The dishes were again not great and we could have gotten much better food at a local place. On top of this, I never got my chimmichuri that I asked for 3 different times. The only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1 is that our waiter was at least nice and the drinks were good and the restaurant was beautiful. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. 3 stars because service was slow and waiters kept forgetting to bring things we requested. They didn't check on us, we had to wave them down to get refill drinks. Food took forever to come out and it was a random weds and place wasn't packed. Parking is terrible also, street parking only so depending what time of day you come you may be circling for awhile. 4 stars because the food was excellent!!!! Everyone loves their food. Went to this place last night to celebrate 2 birthdays. The service was slow. I ordered prime rib bits in a mushroom gravy which was about $22 and the waitress came back and told me they only had the regular prime rib at $39 which I ordered. The menu claims it's in a mushroom sauce, but never mentions it's covered in ONIONS, which I hate!! When I asked if the vegetables were fresh I was advised they are frozen. I ordered bread but got garlic bread which was ok. At the end of the night I felt like I paid for pre-done food for instance the bread reminded me of a version of Texas toast, the gravy on the meat reminded me of a Heinz mushroom gravy which you buy in the store and I questioned myself if I ordered prime rib tips why couldn't they just cut up the prime rib they served me instead of making me pay the extra amount? Doesn't the chef own a knife but I really believe the real reason is because everything is pre-done meaning no real chef there, a real chef would have been horrified!! I'm a foodie and I love to cook and cook gourmet, I've traveled the world and this is probably one of the worst Argentinian restaurants I've been to! Great place in Ponce. My wife and I visited today and was quite surprised. Inside of restaurant was very nicely decorated. We had the 6 six mini empanadas and they were as good as ever. We split the Cordobesa Personal which was enough for two. The Churrasco was amazing, very tender. Pork was good and the chicken could have used some seasoning or a little more char from grill. Our waiter was great, very personable and professional. Definitely worth stopping in and having a nice meal. I would love to go back and try a steak. I bet they are out of this world. read more

Atmosphere was great service was awesome. Food was good but I was a little disappointed since my dad side is from Argentina. Some foods from Argentina weren't the same, but not horrible. Maybe because I grew up in an Argentinian family that cooked differently. Like the empanadas are fried and very oily , they suppose to be baked but like I mentioned not horrible. They were good. We came to see parque de bombas and looked up places to eat on Yelp. Picked this one because it had a good salad variety. Wow very attentive servers Rafael and Christian and the food was amazing. We had Morcilla, Queso frito, Empanada de jamón y queso and Empanada de carrucho for appetizers. For main course we had Ensalada de Carrucho and the most delicious stuffed Mofongo with chicken and crema de cilantro. I would most definitely recommend everyone take a side trip to Ponce what a fantastic experience. They keep masks on and sanitize everything between customers too! read more

We ordered the grouper filet with garlic sauce and the filet mignon tips with mushroom sauce. Both were excellent. Mompasteo really nice, also. It was raining on and off when we arrived around 4 pm, They weren't seating people outside. We said we did not mind if it started raining on us as we had our umbrellas. Arrived last minute without a reservation and after some time, we were seated outside by the live music. Thank you for being so accommodating! Our waitress Amanda was fabulous and was honest & warned us about the patient so wait times. 09-05-21 4:00 PM The food was pretty good but horrible service. We were not allow to sit in the inside because we were two persons and they were only allowing groups of three or more. We sit down outside and wait about 20 minutes to place the order. Once the order was place we ended up asking were was the food since it was about an hour after placing the order. After 10 minutes the waiter let us know that the order was near medium-well and in about five minutes will be well done (small detail, we order the food medium, so it arrive over cook). He apologized and said that a table with 14 persons delay our order (I guess that 14 person table are more important than 2). The food arrive about 5 minute later (well instead medium, but we prefer the wrong term instead waiting 1 additional hour). After we finish, we waited about 15-20 minutes and ask for desert. After another 20 minutes the waiter returned and ask if there's anything else... so he forgot that we order the desert... he ended up asking another waiter to bring the tab... by the way, after this awful experience I ended up paying the cokes refill individually read more

do yourself a favor, save your money and stay away from this place, unless you are into mediocre food at best. we came to this place on a whim as we were visiting the town (i should've yelped it first, first mistake) - we ordered the red sangria, it was basically juice, no alcohol whatsoever. we ordered 2 appetizers, the empanadas and a tomato and cheese dip, it took them about 45 minutes for the dip to arrive and 1 hour for the mini empanadas (mind you the place was half empty due to covid). 5 minutes later after the empanadas arrived, the main courses arrived, we got a rib-eye and the churrasco, both came out cold, mind you this is an Argentinian restaurant, where meat is the specialty, how in the world do you serve cold meat?? the service was awful too, we had 3 different servers, so we never really knew who was in charge of our table. would not recommend nor come back here.
