This little gem sits on one of the cleanest beaches in Puerto Rico and the smoothie drinks are amazing!!! They're made from all fresh fruits! We got the freshly blended lemonade, pineapple, and mango strawberry smoothies, as well as the coconut smoothie! They all come with a big hunk of homemade pound cake on top!!! Beautiful location with excellent Argentinian dishes. Sitting area with open spaces and lots of nice breeze. We were all pleased and delighted with our choices. Huge disappointment. This place was much better when the Argentinean ex husband was running the joint. The beef selection and quality used to be better. We recently ordered a porterhouse steak, which was revolting. It literally looked like plastic. The beef was ordered medium rare and it literally had no blood or was red on the inside. It was chewy as well. Silverware seems to be from the Dollar Tree or Me Salvé. Again, this place is not what it used to be. Avoid it unless you want to pay high prices for bad beef. read more

Today I learnt that "wow" in Spanish is "guau". And this place is GUAU!!! Recommended by a local, this place was one of my favourite restaurants in PR! I got the Sampler and every bite was more delicious than the last. The fried chicken was heavenly, the pork bites were moist and yum and the empanadas were perfection! For dessert, we got the recommended La bochada ( I may be saying it wrong) butttt helloooo, worth every darn calorie! The outside is gorgeous, and there are goats on the property you can feed. The food in this place is absolutely devine! The restaurant is located uphill and is surrounded with farm animals. It gets quite busy over the weekends so make sure to come early or book in advance. We were a party of three that was seated quickly (they also have tables for bigger groups). Our server was very knowledgeable and insightful in what to try. They offer a decent variety of local cuisine mixed with an Argentinian flare. The turnaround is absolutely delicious. It has been very unfortunate that on my first visit to Hacienda Maribó in Adjuntas on Saturday, October 31st, 2020 I had to settle for the mediocre and unprofessional service from the owner. Now let me explain, for a couple of weeks I had been planning on visiting this pseudo-Argentinian restaurant. I say "pseudo", since neither the flavors, the ambiance, the music, the personnel, or the owner were from Argentina. The first issue that caused concern was that they would not accept a reservation. Some may think that this is a small detail, nonetheless, in the times that we are living with COVID-19 threatening the health of all of us, it has been recognized as a good and recommended practice to not only accept reservations, but to encourage them. The second reason that caused discontent had to do with the limited knowledge of the owner (thus all the staff) regarding the CDC and local social distancing regulations set in place during this pandemic. I am referring to the recommended 6 ft. between tables. To be specific, a situation ensued that escalated to the point of being told by the owner that she felt that I was being verbally aggressive to her when I was explaining the reasoning behind my point to accommodate the two tables that were separated for our family vertically, instead of horizontally. Either way the 6ft rule would've been respected. My "simple" petition had to do with the fact of not alienating the family by placing the tables in a fashion that we would be giving our backs to the other table. I was unsuccessful. However, having planned this visit as a family (we are 8 in total) for two weeks, we decided to stay. The appetizers were ok. I didn't taste the Argentinian flavors, though. At this point, I'm waiting for a simple Caesar salad because I don't feel comfortable enough to sponsor the restaurant and spend my money here. It is important to mention that some people tend to feel attacked and use this reasoning as a defense mechanism when actually it is their ignorance that gets the best of them. My suggestion to the management would be to fact-check the safety guidelines and not make up half hearted explanations trying to give the appearance of correctness. Until then, I will spread the word and not recommend this eatery. read more

Hacienda Maribo is located in Adjuntas on Road #10. As soon as you arrive you are welcomed by a fresh mountain-side breeze. They have a wide range menu offering rice, beans, chicken, empanadas , salads and sea food plates. I visited with my family and our waiter José was very knowledgeable about the menu and the history of the hacienda. I ordered the passion fruit Mojito and it was absolutely delicious and refreshing. It comes in a mason jar for presentaron. I ordered the Pechuga Milanesa and I am very happy that I did. The chicken was breaded and fried which made it have a perfect crunch and texture. The cheese on top complimented the chicken deliciously. Hacienda Maribo has a great family atmosphere, a sitting area outside with a coffee bar and horses/ animals to take pictures with. The Mountain Views are spectacular! Can't wait to visit again. read more

Maribó is an Argentinian Hacienda located at the very top of a mountain in Autopista #10 towards Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. Aside from their great staples, they always have Puertorrican classics on their menu. There is also live bohemian music on the weekend to accompany your ice-cold sangria while you appreciate the view. Maribó is my favorite place around this area, and I always try to go at least once when I visit PR. I was recently in PR visiting a coffee plantation not far from this restaurant (Hacienda Maribo) and was recommended to try this place on my way down the mountain. It used to be El Rincon Argentino in Ponce. The restaurant is located on a hill, overlooking the hills, mountains and a town. It's really a beautiful rest stop for a weekend lunch! There is an outdoor patio with seating and clearly, all the local PR families eat here.. along with some tourists that were given good addresses ;) The food was good - many PR specialties and even vegetarian choices! I do not recomment this restaurant at all. The food was bad. The meat and potatoe was overcook and old. The services was bad and the female owner bring us to the table a trashcan to put our plastics plates, Knife, fork, spoon and knife in the garbage can. The sun was in heating our table. I request to lower shade down to protection to a waitress and to the owner. They refue to put the shade down. They dis not provided any solution to relocate us in the restaurant. Ate dinner with family and friends (11 in total) no reservations on a Sunday afternoon day before 4th of July. Place was full of people and yet they fed us quickly, attended to our every need and delivered fantastic food. The only thing better than the "vista de la gigante dormido" was our waitress Sonya. She made excellent recommendations for our kids as well as for us...the stuffed filet mignon was awesome...Just saying. This place keeps getting better. The owners Bocha and Mari are excellent hosts and the staff very attentive. I eat here at least once a month. Oh, and they do have a limited selection of cigars for those so inclined! Only hitch is that you need to repair to the garden smoking area! read more

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ! Not worth it at all! What a HORRIBLE dining experience I just had wit my sister that came al the way from Houston, Texas. I want it to surprise her but the FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Just a few words to describe it: All food was COLD, my Ribs you can tell by the first bite it was quite rotten. Because of the smell of it and it was chewy so you can tell it was NOT FRESH at all, my poor sister loves churrasco but I can honestly tell you it was the WORST CHURRASCO. The rice was FLAVORLESS and to top it off COLD, the worst provenzal and mamposteao rice that I had . And to make things worst, the manager Felix apparently did not care at all for our bad experience, he came to the table, saw the meat was cooked wrong, saw all of our 3 plates full with the food and at the end he said "I can offer a coffee or a dessert but that's about it" WOW!
