    I would have been a reoccurring customer, however, I don't have time to twiddle my thumbs waiting on someone to show up for an appointment that was booked days ago. Rewind to 4 years ago, we used Duff to install blinds in our new construction home, once we actually got him out there to install, the product was fine. Got the quote back, it was well priced and we set a date for install. Then the installation date got pushed back twice for various reasons; the blinds were on backorder from his distributor (plain white faux wood blinds, nothing special) and then he was on vacation (that's ok, I get it). On the date of installation, he was very, very late to our appointment and did not end up leaving our house until almost 11 pm. Why would I remember this? Well, because I had a 2 year old that would not go to bed while everyone else was up. It was a nightmare. BUT, the blinds were in and I moved on with my life. Fast forward to the present and we have built a new home and need blinds. I called Duff's Blinds twice (a few days apart) and left messages before I got a text that he was sorry for the delay and was "slammed" (I'm busy too buddy. I have two young kids and a job too where I travel frequently... but I digress) but he could meet me at 10 am on Friday. Well, I get a text at 9:30 am Friday that it was going to be 10:30 am. Ok, I say (kind of perturbed because I took vacation time from work to meet him, but ok, things happen). I text back at 10:36 am for an ETA and get a text back that he *hopes* to be there in 20 min. Wait, WHAT? Did I miss a text that he sent to let me know that it was going to be an additional 20 minutes???? (Thumbing through texts...) NOPE. I would not have been aware had I not asked for an ETA. So I cancel the appointment. He did offer to meet me later that day, but honestly, how do I even know he will show up on time or at all?? And at that point my husband and kids would be there too whining for dinner. Plus, I TOOK PERSONAL TIME OFF from work for this morning appointment. This seems to be a trend or at the least, we are very unlucky when it comes to a timely experience with Duff. Bottom line is this, the product the first time we hired him was fine, reasonably priced. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that this was an isolated experience and decided to use him again for our new house. HOWEVER, when the second interaction starts out this way, I no longer can assume the best. I will just pay a little extra elsewhere in order to be able to rely on the person. By the way, while waiting on Duff, I counted my windows. I needed 26 window coverings. It was not a "small" job. Edited to add: NOTHING from the pictures below were edited out except my address. He did reach out to me AFTER this post was originally made (and the one on google). Clearly this business owner can't accept responsibility for his actions of not being on time to a scheduled appointment and not being a business professional. All the protest in his response must have hit a nerve... perhaps I'm not the only customer to have experienced this with him?

Excuses, excuses, excuses instead of solutions. No responsibility taken on behalf of the business owner on delinquent orders and or visits. Our order was placed incorrectly the first time then he forgot to place the rest of the order twice, totaling over 14 weeks of waiting after the initial install. He never followed up after initial install. We had to follow up repeatedly to determine the status of the order. Ended up installing last blinds myself since installer did NOT wear a mask and made no time available that worked for us. Screenshots of texts conversations are included with this review to show the mindset and actions of the business owner. These text messages are unedited - a claim Mr. Duff used in attempt to dispute another unsatisfied customer. The initial meeting with Mr. Duff went fine. However, he was 30 minutes late, his samples were unorganized and he wasn't quite sure which items were current and which were discontinued, which came in certain sizes for larger windows, etc. He attributed all of it to being a small business and being so busy during "these times". Mr. Duff said himself that he would not hire anyone else despite being obviously overwhelmed. We placed an order for blinds for our whole home. The blinds came in and were installed in 10 days from the date of the initial order. That part was good. However, our order was not completed during that initial install - one blind was missing and another was not the correct size. After that install and after we had paid for our order, we completely fell off of Duff's radar. More specifically, it took repeated calls and 14 additional weeks to receive the remainder of our blinds. After the initial install AND payment, we heard nothing for 7 weeks. We were promised at time of payment that the last two blinds would be installed within 2 weeks. There was no follow up during those 7 weeks as to the status of our order. Upon contacting him, Mr. Duff told us that he had "forgotten to order the correctly sized blind" and had the other blind in his garage. Again he said that he would have the blinds installed within 2 weeks. We then waited 3 weeks to reach out yet again to Mr. Duff. Again, our job had fallen off of Mr. Duff's to-do list. Mr. Duff responded saying that he would check in his garage because the missing blind was surely there. Mr. Duff did not find the blind in his garage, most likely because it did not magically appear in front of him. Mr. Duff said that the order must have not gone through on his computer. So yet again he is not taking responsibility for his lack of communication, lack of follow up, and forgetting to order the blind for the second time. Three weeks later, when the blind finally came in, Mr. Duff only offered times that he was specially available. He felt his schedule should not be inconvenienced and he should not have to miss meeting with any new clients. He has no value for his customers once they have paid and that is exactly what he showed. He made no effort to work with us on a time that would be mutually beneficial; only offering certain times after jobs that he had already completed in the area as late as 9 PM. Mr. Duff's excuse for this was that he is the busiest blind guy in all of Tennessee. What is contradictory about this statement is that he sets his schedule for himself, in there of digging himself into a hole of incomplete jobs and unsatisfied customers. In the package that is Duff's Custom Window Treatment includes; lack of communication, shifting of blame away from Mr. Duff, incomplete and incorrect orders, and a complete disregard for the customer. I am sure this is not true of all of his clients. According to him, "We just got dealt a bad hand" when it came to our order and all of the issues that we had getting our job to completion. However, Mr. Duff is the one dealing the cards so the hand that we received was solely his fault. *** EDIT *** Per Mr. Duff's reply, I would encourage people to do their research. If you go on the BBB you will find a complaint about Duff's blinds. This complaint describes the exact behavior that we experienced with Mr. Duff. This complaint was resolved at the cost of Mr. Duff since he was found a fault.

Had 5 installed first in 2019 and it was a fantastic process from start to finish. Our installer was Michael Ashburn who did an amazing job and took his time to explain the windows and review paperwork at the end. We chose Window World again based on our previous experience to complete the house (10 windows). This year the experience was just ok. The salesperson/measurer forget a window in the quote. That problem was remedied by $ off the cost which is equivalent to the coupon that you typically see in the mail/coupon books. Not bad I suppose as it could have been nothing. Then on the day of installation the installer, Austin Brickley, arrived about 30 minutes late without any notification. There was a screen with tears which wasn't a problem to schedule for repair. However, it was getting dark and started the rain so I think they may have started to rush. One window was partially caulked and one was not caulked at all. Got it all scheduled and then they had to reschedule and then there was an error with the phone number. Third attempt went fine and Josh, installation manager, was the person to come take care of all the issues. Overall not a great experience for 2020 but at least all the windows are done and look great WITHOUT breaking the bank. Huge difference in energy consumption so well worth it.

This project…read morehas finally completed and we are happy with the windows, but the company is very unprofessional and cost me a lot of time due to no/poor communication. Brad refused to respond to direct questions multiple times in email and we had multiple other communication problems including no call / no show on scheduled dates. The windows took over 120 days to arrive after measurements. On day one of the scheduled install the installers (two man team) arrived without the new windows and stated they had no plans to work that day. A "two day install" turned into twelve days in November 2025, although only seven days with installers on-site as the other five days were no call / no shows. The install project stretched from early November 2025 into mid-March 2026 due to an incorrectly sized plus broken window. These last two items were finally installed in mid-March 2026, again with communication and scheduling issues (no call / no show, and then an unscheduled arrival that disrupted personal plans one evening). I understand jobs can take longer than expected or other scheduling conflicts arise but those should be clearly communicated to the customer(s). Instead family plans were disrupted multiple times, work hours were lost, and no apology or explanation were given. The windows are finally complete and look great but the overall headache was not worth the cost.

They also helped me with replacing the tilt latches and replacing the balances which she had to order out of a catalog. Doesn't seem they up charged, either.     Short version: My $355 glass replacement turned into an $1800 glass replacement…read more Long version: I am giving a two star review and not a one star review because the two women who work at the front desk were very polite and responsive. The delivery team of two men was also kind and professional however the glass maker was probably one of the rudest individuals I have ever encountered. I called All Star Glass to see what their typical wait time for replacing a piece of glass was and they notified me 24-48 hours. After reading the Google reviews it seemed that this was the norm for them. This was important to me because I dropped the glass off on a Monday and needed it by the latest Thursday because I had a flight out of Nashville at the end of the week. I also didn't want to not have a front window for my living room for the entire week especially when I was not there. No worries however because I was told it would be done Tuesday. After receiving no update on my glass, I called them back and was told it would be done the next day (Wednesday). After again receiving no update on Wednesday, I called again and was told it would be done Thursday. By the time Thursday rolled around I called back and was told it would be done Friday even though I made it clear early in the week that I had a flight to catch. When I called Thursday, the woman at the front desk handed the phone over to the glass maker who immediately started yelling and getting very angry, telling me that NO ONE told me the glass would be done in 24-48 hours (just read the other comments. This seems to be the norm) and that HE told me it would be done Friday (I would have never agreed to this in the first place considering I had a flight and wouldn't be able to get the glass on Friday). The glass maker continuously called me a liar, yelling at me, threatening to hang up and not make the glass, saying that no one told me 24-48 hours despite the fact that I was told MULTIPLE times that this is how long the order would take. I tried being cordial as I shared my frustrations of needing to now change my flight but the glass maker didn't care, continuing to throw personal jabs and calling me a liar, referring me to the worst customer he has ever dealt with. Every time I tried calming him down (because I really did need the glass) he continued throwing personal shots at me. Very unprofessional. $355 for glass and $1500 later for having to change flights at the last second, the glass is installed. I would strongly recommend that the owner of All Star Glass gets a new glass maker as the current one is not well.
