This has happened multiple times to my family where RRD presents a quote that shows after insurance out-of-pocket fees for proposed services. Each time I have agreed to proceed based on those quotes and paid for the quote balance before leaving their office. Next thing I know I receive invoices for fees still due after insurance payments that are very significant. I have met with their billing/treatment coordinator and was told that they do not normally contact insurance companies for establishing customer quotes, but use a general database, although they present "insurance pays" amounts in the quotes. As a note, I did sign each quote that states that I will pay balances not paid by the insurance company, but I assumed quotes would be accurate or at least in the general ballpark. In the future RRD staff has agreed to actually coordinate with my insurance company to provide an accurate quote (this is not standard policy, so you have to ask for it), but I will not be going back. I feel ripped off. FYI, my insurance company is a major insurer.

The entire team communicates well, takes their time with you, remembers who you are and is stellar at their respective jobs. In particular, Dr. Forbes has true compassion for people who are afraid of the dentist because he's had to go through a lot of dental procedures himself. The ability to empathize with patients is something too many dentists (and doctors!) just do not have. And it's priceless to patients like me.

I unfortunately had to move out-of-state, and he tried his best to help with my tooth problems before I had to move. He's knowledgeable, caring, and patient. He always tried to be conservative with the work he did on my teeth, focusing on the most important areas and didn't push expensive treatments on me that weren't 100% necessary. A lot of dentists I went to would 1.) look at my teeth and then decide on a plethora of things to do to them, without consulting me - and b) forget about the issues I had and/or not address them fully. Dr Davia always listened to my concerns and kept it simple, unless it was clear a more complex procedure was definitely needed. I had to go back with days as the bite was painful even with drinking water. I am no dentist and can not self treat. I had to go back 2 second time with a week and the dentist waving his hands in the air simply said, he can't do anything!!! When I voice my frustration. He refused me any further treatment and said I could go see a different dentist. I followed a medical practitioner's advise to preventive care and am now left with pain and suffering, neither of which I had, had gone to his office for a free dental cleaning. Today, he replaced a crown that had come off, and his work prompted me to write this review. The office is in a newer space off of Staples Mill by Amigos. It is very bright, clean, and modern with ample parking. The staff were very welcoming, polite and professional. Rose, my hygienist was wonderful. She explained everything she was doing prior to beginning, was gentle, patient and friendly. I definitely want her to take care of me for my next appointment. Dr Bigelow popped in once Rose was complete to introduce himself and check my teeth as well. He had a great positive attitude, seemed like a nice guy. Didn't spend much time with him to elaborate further. Overall, I would definitely recommend this practice to those looking for a new dentist!
